AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other apps. It does this by nullifying requests to known host names in the system hosts file.

The Best Ad Blocker Around This app is simply the best when it comes to blocking ads. It blocks so many more ads than alternate ad blockers. The hosts file is always being updated to block even more ads. The developer is fantastic, and does a great job of supporting this app.

Almost perfect On WiFi it works perfect, block all ads, but on mobile internet it doesn't, there are ads in almost every app. Why?

Root needed! Works like a charm This app works! I have been using it for a couple years now, and as long as you update it on a daily basis its fine. Sometimes I see a clear, see through box where an add was, but I don't even notice it there half the time. I'm currently running android 4.1.2 rooted on my epic 4G touch. Would recommend this app to any root user!

It works It seems to work some of the time and not all the time. Even if one ad is blocked, it's worth at least 4 stars. Funny thing though with ad blockers... Once you get use to one, you don't even know it's there; but once it's gone, you can't live without it.
