Permissions:
This application needs root access on your device, meaning it can do EVERYTHING.
So theoretically it makes no sense to describe the used permissions, but people requested it so here we go:
• Root access: To write hosts file to system partition
• Internet access: To download hosts files
• Modify/delete SD card contents: To export lists to sd card
• Wakelock: Daily update check in background when phone is in sleep

[2011-12-30] Tipoo: Decent Good,i just wish it removed the boxes for adsa well as the content itself.currently the empty box stays. |
[2011-12-29] Marc: Not working Was working on miui then stooped working when I flashed cm7 |
[2011-12-29] Julian: Switched from AdFree, didn't trust that one. Works like it should on rooted Desire w/ stock 2.3.3 and S-OFF. |
[2011-12-29] Dylan: Was Working... Was working until I flashed ICS MIUI... "Unavailable source" when scanning for updates. G2X |
[2011-12-29] the 12/29/2011 Four stars for effort I would love to use this on my Galaxy Nexus, but i can't get it to download the host files. |

[2011-12-28] Ryan: Doesn't Work Moto Atrix 4G Rooted - did not even work no matter how many times I applied it or rebooted |
[2011-12-27] Poe: Works well! Works as it should with a good and easy to use interface. I highly recommend it. |
[2011-12-27] Kyle: Easy to configure. Works when it happens to run. Sadly, AdAway is not reliable. When is happens to run, it works as described. The two bugs I encountered were 1. the web server stops running (after being started manually within a boot session, not only immediately after a reboot), 2. the update routine in broken; the "download and apply" button persists, even after manually running the download. I will try the app again later. |
[2011-12-26] Jafar: NOT BLOCKING ALL ADS BUT, IT'S STILL A FOUR STAR APP... |
[2011-12-26] S. T.: Good in it's base. Saves your time without asking you for money. What else could you want? |
[2011-12-26] Irving: Works better than Adfree I rooted a Ziio and could not get adfree to stop mounting errors. First install and ads are already away. |

[2011-12-11] the 12/11/2011 Works well This does the job ! Sorry to all the dev who use adds but some of the adds that are pushed to phones are the worst kind of filth / offensive and illegal in most countries. So no ethical issues at blocking these adds ! ! |

[2011-12-09] persephone: Stops 99.5% of ads. AdAway is replacing AdFree for me because of AdAway's easy to use interface, primarily the blacklist. Rooted Droid X |
[2011-12-09] PdtS: - Better designed than the competition, but keeps blocking websites along with ads. |
[2011-12-08] Marcus: Some but not all Many ads still show up, such as on hanging with friends, fly dragon, and words with friends.... Still a good app though! |

[2011-11-24] Nicholas: Works nicely. Works great on my rooted TB with only one problem, it doesn't block AirPush ads as it apparently doesn't have a hosts file source designed specifically for mobile ads. Fix that and it would be perfect. |

[2011-11-13] Richard: X10 MiUI I feel bad for using this and ripping devs off that make a living from ad supported software. Guess I'm a self entitled pricked. Works well though. |

[2011-11-10] Aaron: Doesnt block all adds but most Rooted phone w superuser / busybox. In angry birds for example. I get 1 add every minute or 2, rather then an add every 10 seconds. Seems to help performance a bit though, since adds aren't being loaded etc. Most apps have a "predesignated" area for apps, so even though you disable them the space is still being taken up. Also some apps recognize your trying to block them. Still a good app though.. seems to block "most" adds. |
