[2011-01-17] Tucker: It's a really cool concept and all but the button layout just not natural. Sticking with swype. I can easily text without looking with that. |
[2011-01-17] malcolm: Love it. Very well thought out. Tutorial, however needs work. There's one on you tube that shows the technique off nicely. |
[2011-01-16] TechPreacher: Very original. Well implemented. |
[2011-01-15] Hector: Interesting but hard. I just know my way around a regular keyboard better. |
[2011-01-15] Jacob: Were y'all on crack when you designed this keyboad? |
[2011-01-13] saxon: Takes way more time and effort to make gestures than it does to peck on the keyboard. Nicely built with an ingenious idea but overall, not helpful. |
[2011-01-13] Richard: Great predictive texting. Takes a little while to get used to. |
[2011-01-13] Michael: One should create a dual thumb style for landscape mode. I believe it would be faster while maintaining accuracy. |
[2011-01-13] Emil: Yes:-) |
[2011-01-13] Lawrence: Fantastic after 2-3 days of using it on htc wildfire. |
[2011-01-12] Seth: Great idea, just needs a Tad more polish and expansion on the word prediction. |
[2011-01-11] Tim: I gave this app an honest shot - used it solely for two weeks to get over the learning curve. Unfortunately it's still clumsy and slow. Install Swype. |
[2011-01-11] del-boy: Not bad, but needs support for non-englsh characters to be useful to the rest of us. |
[2011-01-11] Wes: Impossible learning curve.. |
[2011-01-11] yerkinku: I think this would be great & fun with a Russian characters and dictionary! |
[2011-01-10] Nick: Can't get it to work on the droid pro |
[2011-01-10] Mike: Just plain inefficient due to the extra needed motions per character. |
[2011-01-10] ryan: I am able to put out more wpm with my qwerty keypad on my droid 2 |
[2011-01-10] Herbert: A completely different approach to typing. I like it, but physical keyboards & swype are much faster |
[2011-01-10] Navaid: Very steep learning curve, deleting. |
[2011-01-10] benny: Very different way of typing. Some may love it, not for me though. 3.5 stars for being original |
[2011-01-09] Alexander: Lots of potential but its still glitchy and on one occasion had to restart my fone. Devs, make it more reliable and I will pay for this HTC Incredible |
[2011-01-09] Daniel: Go through the circle when completing a word to not get a space. Add numbers as gestures for ease. |
[2011-01-09] Justin: it worked fine for a while, but now it capitalizes absolutely everything, including the numbers and symbols. right now, it's useless. |
[2011-01-09] xOhioJoex: Intimidating/confusing at first, but starts sinking in if stick with it. Forced myself to use in hour was typing without looking. |
[2011-01-09] Sarah: Too confusing. It was too intimidating and complicated at first so I deleted it. I miss my slide it demo. I don't buy apps but I may have to now. |
[2011-01-09] JPedro: Like it, but needs non English chars |
[2011-01-09] Cuauhtemoc: As others have expressed here. 8pen is not easy to masterand it is missing a few features; however, I find myself unable to stop using it. |
[2011-01-08] Dave: Works for HTC Hero. Learning curve tough, but may be worth it! Tho my sense is this will prove a great effort, but no Dvorak. I'll try it, tho! :) |
[2011-01-08] jgariano3: Innovative and intriguing. Requires practice, but is fun. Swype is significantly more efficient, though. |
[2011-01-08] Sam: Fun to use but swype is much more efficient. Even after a lot of practice its still much slower than swype. |
[2011-01-08] todd: Glad it was free. Not a keeper. |
[2011-01-08] Riku: Very interesting idea, but it seems that swype is still faster. Galaxy S |
[2011-01-08] Rob: It's a nice idea, but in execution it just isn't more practical than even a standard keyboard. |
[2011-01-08] Brian: Doesnt work with Tmobile G2 |
[2011-01-07] Fergus: Doesn't work on HTC Hero I'm afraid :-( waste of money... how about a known compatibility list? |
[2011-01-07] Mark: Very clever idea and good implementation. Works fine on my droid x but overall its just not for me. |
[2011-01-07] pepperson: Great idea but too much sliding for long messages. Maybe a tap mode? Center, down, then right taps for "t"? |
[2011-01-07] WildCard#!: Friends try to frape me. Epic fail! Thanks 8pen. |
[2011-01-07] Padraic: On the right track! Slower than Swype, but WAY faster than typing! Fun,too! |
[2011-01-07] Karsten Lundqvist: Different and fun |
[2011-01-07] Matt: Might be ok if Swype didn't exist. |
[2011-01-07] lupo: Not working |
[2011-01-07] Cecilio: Wow, this works unbelievably with even minimal training. So innovative I wish I would've come up with that myself! I'd like to see a .com added though |
[2011-01-07] Marius: Too slow. To much time to keep the finger on the screen to make a word. Not going to use it. |
[2011-01-07] Charles-Edouard: Great innovation hopefully they wil provide other languages! Training required! |
[2011-01-06] Jason: Extremely cool and great for clumsy people! |
[2011-01-06] Reony: Awesome concept! Tough learning curve but it's fun and worth it! Using it to write this. |
[2011-01-06] Heath: Just dled it and really like it. Just gotta get used to rearranged keyboard. |
[2011-01-06] Stephen: Not bad! It certainly has a learning curve, but it's fun and rewarding as you become noticeably faster. Kudos for the innovative idea! |
[2011-01-06] Andreas: A great new innovative way of entering text via a touchscreen! And it even looks nice... I immediately started using this method as my new standard. |
[2011-01-06] Martin: Love it! |
[2011-01-06] Maria Veronica: Amazing! |
[2011-01-06] Danielle: Awesome keyboard! It definitely took a bit of time to get used to it, but it becomes second nature. Discourages people from trying to use your phone. |
[2011-01-06] Vram: It is fun to use but not a keyboard replacement as promised. |
[2011-01-06] Kenneth: I love it! If I could change anything, I would have the popup keyboard also have colored dividers, and have the popup reflect pressure capitalization. |
[2011-01-05] richard: Guys stop hating because of the learning curve! Amazing! :D |
[2011-01-05] Maricarmen: It doesn't work and by trying it, my previous keyboard's settings got messed up. YOU SUCK! |
[2011-01-05] Derek: Its average depending on how you like to type. I'm still not convinced with these new typing apps like swipe and this one but I can see a use for them |
[2011-01-05] Warren: Absolutely brilliant! |
[2011-01-05] George: Doesn't work. |
[2011-01-05] Hugh: This is a brilliant idea! The learning curve is not that steep. I am entering this comment using 8pen. |
[2011-01-05] nelson: It doesn't work on the HTC Evo |
[2011-01-05] Yong J: Brilliant idea!!! Please integrate Korean as soon as possible!! Well done, guys!!! |
[2011-01-04] Deja Wu: Is this a joke? It's like going back in time, creating a less effective keyboard using rotary technology, then using it as a less efficient standard. |
[2011-01-04] Daniel: Takes a while to figure it out, and takes some practice to match original typing speed, from then it's not only much faster, and easier, more fun too! |
[2011-01-02] Ethan: Fantastic concept, but needs work. Error correction is terrible and it is often innacurate, slow. Please update. Optimus T |
[2011-01-02] Rob: Fun bit difficult. Question is, do you want to be puzzled when typing something... |
[2011-01-02] Matt Oakes: Can't get it to type on my htc desire 2.2 or 2.3. Looks promising though |
[2011-01-01] tchebb: Looks good. I'll have to see how well I can learn it. |
[2010-12-31] Gabe: I love it! It's radical, yet easy to use. Once u remember the placement of the letters it's a breeze. Nexus S |
[2010-12-31] heliax: Move to sdcard!!! |
[2010-12-31] Brian: Spent 5 weeks trying to become proficient. Still very slow typer. |
[2010-12-30] Severeon: Has a high learning curve, but you can type without looking at your phone with this. |
[2010-12-28] Michael: I love it. It may have a learing curve, but as I get used to it, I am finding it feels very comfortable. The app feels smart and polished. Free! |
[2010-12-28] Anonymous: Too steep of a learning curve? you'd swear these whining people never saw something original and new. I think this is great and easy and fun. |
[2010-12-28] SethReineke: Great concept, not very well executed though. |
[2010-12-28] andrew: Good but takes awhile to learn, perhaps too long. |
[2010-12-27] Elliot: Interesting solution to a touch screen typing problem. Once I've mastered it it will be so fast!ingenuity of the system : typing w/ out looking! |
[2010-12-26] sunny: Have the option to turn off auto spacing and i'm sold... oh and perhaps switch the delete key with the ABC key... typed on 8pen. |
[2010-12-26] Jason: Nice. Challenging on the brain too. |
[2010-12-26] David: Nice way of typing. I like it. Needs word prediction |
[2010-12-25] Harry: This is like Dvorak. Innovative and probably better, but too hard to learn |
[2010-12-25] Wade: Five stars for function and ingenuity... don't down rank it just cause you can't figure it out. |
[2010-12-23] Vijay: Your finger needs to travel a lot more distance on screen. This can never be faster than normal keyboard or swype. But very good innovation. |
[2010-12-22] geniusdog254: Tough to learn but lots of fun. And keeps friends from texting on my phone |
[2010-12-22] harkabir-هركبير: I have paid for this. It's very progressive. Too steep a learning curve for me. But developer please carry on. You are very innovative.Dont stop :) |
[2010-12-22] Eric: Jury is still out on this input method. Could definitely improve touch typing on the move... But i'm currently very slow. Need to play with it more. |
[2010-12-21] alec: I feel like pressing a letter on a keyboard is much faster and more accurate than using a whole gesture to complete a single letter. |
[2010-12-21] John: Neat idea, but tough learning curve. Typed this with 8pen. |
[2010-12-21] John: Neat idea, but tough learning curve. Typed this with 8pen. |
[2010-12-20] Matt: Haven't used it since I bought it. |
[2010-12-20] Sean: It's a nice idea but there is too much of a time investment learning it. Swype is so much faster and easier to use. |
[2010-12-20] マ━(゚∀゚)━( ゚∀)━( ゚)━( )━(゚ )━(∀゚ )━(゚∀゚)━ダ????: Novel idea but too slow. Try doing the figure 8 with your thumb 3 times (6 characters) and compare that to a tapping input or swype. |
[2010-12-20] Darko: I used it for a month now and while it is less error-prone, it definitely isn't faster than regular android keyboard. 5 stars for fun and innovativity |
[2010-12-19] mac: I like it, but very steep learning curve. And if in the "dark" theme, make the letters white. Really? Theyre impossible to see if you leave them black |
[2010-12-19] Glen: The concept of a way to type with fat fingers is great, but the layout of the characters is non-intuitive and very difficult to learn. |
[2010-12-19] adam: Works well and is a bit of fun. |
[2010-12-19] Durand: Brilliant, while it's not the most practical, it's definitely the coolest! |
[2010-12-18] Thomas: Very innovative. Although seemingly complex, very simplistic. Original (OG) Droid By Motorola. |
