This is a test app for Android devices, and is part of a user study by the Empathic Systems Projects research group at Northwestern University.  JamLogger tracks user activity to allow us to understand how people use their smart devices.

This app will monitor:
- CPU utilization, system load
- Phone state and connectivity (airplane mode, edge, 3G, signal strength)
- Call state (ringing, on call, idle)
- Display brightness and state
- Wifi connectivity
- Network traffic (quantity of data sent/received)
- Location (when GPS is triggered by another app)
- Battery levels
- SD card reads/writes
- Applications active


To protect your privacy, all data is anonymized with an internally generated UUID before upload.

Things we DO NOT monitor:

- The device's ANDROID_ID is not collected; this app generates its own UUID
- Audio of calls is not recorded
- Neither names, nor contact information, nor phone numbers are gathered
- Contents of data packets are not inspected


By using this software, you agree that usage data will be recorded as outlined above.

Novak Electronics’ NovaGear application provides R/C drivers with pinion gear recommendations for their remote control vehicles. Brushless motor and ESC users can now easily determine where to begin with their gearing settings by inputting their vehicle’s specifications into the NovaGear. The NovaGear also provides users with their vehicle’s Internal Drive Ratio. Drivers no longer have to waste time and energy calculating what the NovaGear can do in seconds. Easy-to-use and convenient, this application is a must-have for all R/C enthusiasts.


-BASIC STEPS-
To find your car’s basic gearing setting, press “New” and select your vehicle’s brand and model; then adjust the ESC Timing, Motor Turn, Final Drive Ratio, and Spur Gear. Once all the information is entered, the NovaGear will calculate final pinion gear recommendation. The Final Drive Ratio and Spur Gear values can be adjusted after they are populated from the NovaGear database to fine-tune the gearing recommendation.


-CUSTOM VEHICLES-
If a customer cannot find their vehicle among the popular brands and cars listed, users have the option to create a custom profile for almost any car. Please note that this application currently does not support roll out vehicles. Supported vehicles are: 2WD Buggy, 2WD Trucks, 4WD Buggy, and Touring Cars. New cars and options will be added to the NovaGear in the future.


-ROLLOUT FEATURE-
As an additional feature, NovaGear provides calculations for rollout. Simply select your tire’s diameter, and NovaGear will calculate the rollout for you!


-SAVE-
With the NovaGear, you have the option to save multiple profiles! Simply hit “Save” and enter in a unique profile name.


-HELP PAGE-
The help page provides basic instructions, as well as information on how to fine-tune your gearing recommendation and spur gear values.


-EXTRAS-
An in-app email feature lets users email and questions, suggestions or comments to Novak. The Glossary defines terms and clarifies definitions.

EICAR ANTI-VIRUS TEST APPLICATION
THIS APP IS NOT HARMFUL. IT WILL NOT HARM YOUR DEVICE IN ANY WAY.

This app simply displays a message similar to this one and nothing more. It requires no permissions on installation. It does not read your data, access the internet, or create any files. It does not run in the background, start automatically, or do anything at all other than display a message.

It does, however, contain some text, created by the European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research (EICAR), which is designed to be safely detected by all anti-virus products as a virus, so that people can test their anti-virus applications to see if they're working correctly, without having to actually infect their devices with a real virus or other malware.

To make it absolutely clear - this app is completely harmless, but should be detected as a virus. This is its entire purpose.

If you run an anti-virus app on your phone, it should detect this app as a virus when you install it. If it doesn't, then perhaps your anti-virus software isn't as good as it claims. Or the people who made it haven't had time to update their application yet. The current version (v7) of this industry standard test for anti-virus products has been around since September 2006, so there's really no excuses.

This app should ideally be detected by all anti-virus software as a virus, including anti-virus software running on your PC. If the app vanishes after connecting your phone to your PC, it's likely that your anti-virus software has removed it or quarantined it.

This application is pre-programed for a Visonic Powermax alarm system, using the codes from this manual, it is however possible to use this application for other alarm systems by simply editing the given Visonic Powermax commands under "settings" - "edit control button" to the ones that fit your alarm system.

This Powermax Alarm Remote allows you to access your home alarm system from your mobile phone. By typing in your phone number and password it is possible to activate, deactivate,  instant activating, ask for status report, etc.

It is possible to choose your own favorite commands under "settings" making them appear on your homepage.

If you don't have an English version of Powermax you can change the language (see below) under "settings" > "language" and the commands will change as well thereby making your Powermax remote compatible in those languages.
