The Masqed Crusader is a Network Optimization Tool for ROOT USERS ONLY. It increases web browsing speed and privacy. It is the only app of its kind on the Android Market!


What Does The Masqed Crusader Do?

* Improves overall network SPEED on both WiFi and Mobile data (2g/3g etc..) connections by locally caching nameserver data and forcing the use of Google's fast DNS servers. (Can be switched to OpenDNS in Advanced Settings Menu)

* Increases PRIVACY by avoiding the use of your wireless carrier's DNS servers. When paired with end-to-end encryption (i.e. using https when possible, running TOR etc...) this can diminish your carrier's ability to spy on you while using mobile internet.

* In addition, it provides effective AD-BLOCKING functionality by redirecting ad-server requests. (Can be Disabled in Advanced Settings Menu)

The Masqed Crusader requires root, busybox and dnsmasq to function... features common on most modern ROMS. Generally speaking, any ROM that supports Wireless Tethering should work properly with the Masqed Crusader.


Why does DNS matter?

According to Google's Public DNS page: "The DNS protocol is an important part of the web's infrastructure, serving as the Internet's phone book: every time you visit a website, your computer performs a DNS lookup. Complex pages often require multiple DNS lookups before they start loading, so your computer (or phone) may be performing hundreds of lookups a day."


Technical Stuff.

Masqed Crusader uses dnsmasq, which acts as a middle man, between your device and the DNS server. Dnsmasq caches recent DNS lookups locally and uses hashing to quickly search that cache. The Masqed Crusader runs dnsmasq with a customized configuration file that is optimized for use with mobile devices, and constantly enforces its use by ensuring that the device looks to itself (127.0.0.1) for all DNS lookups.

* Some Wireless Tethering Apps also use dnsmasq to work, and therefore will not function when Masqed Crusader is ONLINE.


Explanation of Permissions

Masqed Crusader asks for:

-Storage (writing config files to the SD card)
-Read Phone State (to re-apply DNS settings when the phone changes networks)
-Start at Boot (to reset the status message after a reboot)

PetPal Manager's PetShow is a add-on to the PetPal Manager pet management system for rescues and shelters. With it, you can log into your account and pull down a list of all your pets that are marked ready for adoption or in process.

Then, if you meet a potential adopter out and about, you can show them all the pets you have for adoption. They can browse all the information about the pet (name, pet type, breed/species, age, gender, etc) and view pictures of them (if you have uploaded any).

If they are interested, they can complete a small form on your device which, when submitted, is sent to the PetPal  Manager for you to go back later and follow up to set up a meeting with them and their preferred pet.

Also, if they add their email address, a copy of the pet's information is sent to their email so they can have a copy of the pet that they are interested in. In addition, if there are pictures upload for the pet, they will be attached to the email for the potential adopter to have and view.

Detailed information:
This app stores all the important data to a google calendar of your choice:

* Incoming calls
* Outgoing calls
* incoming SMS
* outgoing SMS

You can choose to sync Text or/and calls to the google calendar of your choose.

Very easy to setup:
1) Choose the calendar from a list of your google calendars
2) Choose the inputs / outputs you want to sync

and you are done!

All the events you selected will be reflected on that calendar on the exact moment they took place:

Eg: You receive an SMS and you have the incomming SMS log activated? Then your calendar will have a new event with the SMS sender and text in the date / time you received your sms.

SymbolsPanel is a helper for entering symbols (NOT a input method keyboard.)

Android devices can display various symbols, but entering them is not easy. SymbolsPanel provides a way of entering them.

●Short Descriptions
▷After "Copy", long-touch a input area you want to enter, then select "Paste".
▷[Menu] key is enabled to set preferences.
▷To use this from other apps, "Notify shortcut" in preferences will be useful.
▷With Mushroom-improved IME for more simply use

This is designed as Mushroom plugin. You can use this also as stand-alone app, but I recommend to use it with a Input Method supporting Mushroom plugins.
(Mushroom is a mash-up feature on Input Method "Simeji". It is implemented on many japanese IMEs, such as Simeji, OpenWnn, ATOK and more.)

In stand-alone use, entered symbols is copied to the clipboard by pressing Copy button. To paste it to a input area, touch the area and hold, then select Paste in the menu displayed.

When called from IME as Mushroom plugin, only pressing Apply button, the symbols is entered to the current input area directly.

Note:
Depending on fonts or codesets on the application you use, some symbols may not be handled properly. For example, some symbols will not be displayed if the font in your device is not implemented information for that symbols. In another example, if a mail client you use can handle codeset US-ASCII only, it will not handle properly the symbols outside of US-ASCII, such as ☎.
If you send an email or write a message on the net, the recipients' environment (fonts, apps, etc...) decides whether they can read symbols. In particular, If the message is seen by unspecified person, avoiding usage of unfamiliar symbols is safe.
