If you have ever called a foreign number by accident when roaming, this app is for you. Phone prefixer prefixes the international dialing code to any phone number that has no international dialing code.

When you dial a phone number without the international dialing code, the default in mobile networks is to dial the local number of wherever you are. This app changes the default to dialing to your country, if the international prefix is not present in the contact.

GPSHelper o GPS Helper è il coltellino svizzero software per il GPS del tuo dispositivo, utile ad agevolare il fix GPS, vederne lo status, e altre tante altre funzioni utili.

Come si usa l'applicazione?

Si avvia l'applicazione, posizionandosi in situazioni dove puo' essere ricevuto normalmente un segnale GPS (può accadere anche dentro casa ma è più difficile), e cioè all'aperto e possibilmente in movimento in modo che i satelliti possano triangolare. A quel punto è sufficiente attendere qualche istante per vedere i primi satelliti che vengono ricevuti, rilevati alcuni satelliti se non vi sono difetti hardware o software il chip gps effettua il fix. A questo punto si può mandare in background l'applicazione e aprire un software navigatore o ad esempio Google Maps.
Tutto ciò avviene solitamente in pochi secondi come da gli esempi qui sotto di alcuni utenti soddisfatti, e altri che hanno documentato il loro feedback nel forum o nel market.

Alcuni esempi:

Talvolta se il GPS ha una cache che ha fatto "sballare" il chip GPS del telefono (esempio alcuni Galaxy S), può esser necessario o una rimozione della cache del GPS (dove possibile) oppure attendere un po' più tempo.

Al momento risulta essere la migliore applicazione per il FIX del GPS su Android senza aver bisogno di privilegi di root, o di fare modifiche particolari al telefono.


Informazioni riguardo la misura altimetrica

Chi lamenta la poca precisione della misura altimetrica, lo prego di leggere la seguenti indicazioni.
Scrivo queste informazioni per quanto riguarda l'altimetro per mettervi al corrente di alcune notizie, che grazie alle segnalazioni avute da alcuni di voi mi hanno permesso di indagare meglio.
La terra come saprete non è perfettamente rotonda, ne perfettamente ellittica è piuttosto un elissoide. Qusta forma complessa si chiama "geoide" ed è la forma che avrebbe la superficie del mare se il pianeta fosse completamente ricoperto d’acqua. Segue su: http://goo.gl/hU3wO
