This application works only with OWFS server! Please don't install it if you don't have owserver running on your Linux box.
This is a very simple application that reads and presents temperatures from 1-Wire thermometers. Data is read over network, using owserver protocol (for more info please see http://owfs.org/ ).
If you have any problems, please mail me instead of giving low rating.
This application uses jowfsclient library from OWFS project.

[2013-02-15] A Google User: Partially works, could be very helpful Worked with owserver behind an internet-facing router with a dyndns dynamic hostname. Just had to port forward the owserver port 4304 from the router to the NSLU2 running owserver. However, this app only displayed one DS18B20 temperature sensor, and did not display the two humidity sensors (which also include temperature). All the sensors were visible via the owhttpd pages loaded directly from the server previously to this. It appears this reader may have hung the owserver, as I could not see any sensors through owhttpd after trying it, until I rebooted the owserver. My server has been otherwise rock solid reliable up to now, but appears to hang/crash whenever I use this app to connect to it. Admittedly, my owserver version is very old so this may not be an issue with this app but rather the server. I look forward to future versions of this app and please consider adding additional sensors to the list to display in the future! Good luck. |
