Inaccurate measurements Unfortunately the GPS was consistently out by between 10-15 metres when compared to the course sprinkler head markers, both to the centre of the green. Such a shame as tge app has great potential.

Fantastic developer. Better then SkyCaddie Perfect on Galaxy S3. Developer is very nice. Course mapper makes adding or editing any course easy. Better then $40/year or stand alone. Accurate. So easy to add/fix courses. Beats out device in the $200-300 range. I will be donating more money since it feels like robbery at $2. I only wish it would make my golf game better :) Anyone who rates this low shouldn't be allowed to use a phone. Its spot on. Knowing the distances and playing often has made me a better golfer.

Unbelievable for the price This is about 1/100th of the price of a garmin but gives you about 50% of its useability. The only problem is the phone going to sleep or running out of battery. A usb charger on your trolley would make this ideal.

Works great. Moto RAZR. This app works great! I have not had any problems with the program or any of the courses I have downloaded. Accuracy seems to be right on with course markings and visual range finders. I am not the best golfer, but this app has definitely helped me on the course. Glad you added score card.

Great Update I love that scoring is now integrated. It will be perfect if they add multiple person scoring and the ability to plot tracked shots on the satellite view.

Best I've tried on the droid, so far This is by far the best droid golf GPS. I have purchased Skydroid, Golf Frontier, and nRange and used multiple free versions. I have yet to use Golfshot as all I read is how buggy it is vs. the iOS version. Of the ones I've tried Skydroid is the most accurate. I use a Bushnell v2 and it's usually within 4 yards of it, but the difference is obviously due to the pin position. I used Golf Frontier because it has a great stat tracker, but since the latest upgrade Skydroid can now do it all. The yardage also refreshes surprisingly fast compared to other competitors. This is now my primary GPS until something better comes out.

Nexus 7: Only partially compatible Although this shows it is NEXUS 7 compatible, it is only partially so. Unless your golf course has Wi-Fi throughout, you won't see the course but rather just a grid showing the distance to the hole. GPS works without a phone connection, maps do not.

This is an awesome app! I've never wrote a review for an app until now. I've had SkyDroid for a few years now, and for the price it is by far the best app I have. I told all of my golf buddies, and they all love it. Now with the recent 2.0 upgrade, you can't beat this app for value. In addition to GPS distance, you can enter score, greens in reg, fairways hit, putts, shot shape, and much more that I haven't gotten to yet and it keeps track of it all through rounds. Love it on my Droid Razr Maxx.

Great app Use it all the time. One minor problem for European golfers is that 'slope' is not available. So it needs to be an optional field when setting up courses. Currently it's mandatory.

Great Improvement From first glance, looks like the latest update (first one in quite some time) is a good one. Haven't used it on the course yet, but I like the stats feature (will replace what I use a normal scorecard for, hopefully) and also the "locate course near you" feature as well. Great app if you have a good internet connection. This is a great app however it relies upon Google Maps. If you are like me and have unreliable/slow data in your area Google satellite views are unusable in a fast paced group. If it ever comes to a point where you can cache Google satellite views I will have the perfect golf app.

A steal for 99 cents I have a Samsung Galaxy SII and this app works great - I'm 4482 yards from my house to the first green. I have a n aftermarket Battery 2200mha (about 20% larger than original) and I used the app full time for an 18 hole round. GPS on all the time full screen brightness and using other apps during the round. When I finished I had 54% battery remaining and my phone was good for the rest of the day as well. I have had two pure golf GPS units and this is as good and accurate as they were and a much bigger screen. How can you go wrong for 99 cents? Highly recommend this over anything else out there in the app market.

Sky Droid Rocks Loading courses takes just seconds. Shot yardage is simple and useful. Start the tracker from where you hit shot, then walk to your ball, or ball mark on green to know how far you hit drive or approach shot. Create a data base of hire your good shots travel. Love it. Perfect I am using this App mostly in Asia, offline, i.e. without Internet access. It's simple, it works on my Galaxy Note and Sony Xperia, and it uses surprisingly little battery power in off-line mode. I have to map my own courses which is a really simple process, using the Google Earth or Maps data. Only problem is that the App is not available in the Philippines: If I log on via the phone with a Philippine SIM card or from the PC through a Philippines IP address, the app won't even show up in the store! A pity; we have many golfers here! Mr. Goldstein: Can you find out why this is so?

Awesome! Bought and used it yesterday on my Galaxy S2. It worked like a charm...easily worth 5 shots a round. My local course wasn't available so I spent 15 mins mapping it out on the Skydroid website and it was instantly available. Yardages were accurate to 1 yard, and it didn't hammer my battery - still had ~60% left after 4 hrs. I cant recommend this highly enough!

Works great I downloaded this today for my Galaxy Nexus (unlocked Google version). I thought it was worth a try for $2. I took it out to a 9-hole munie this afternoon and it worked like a charm. It gave accurate distances to every green, and included other distances (water, fairway bunkers, etc.). The interface was very easy to navigate as well. For $2, it's an incredible deal.

Simple, accurate and fast! Bought it a couple of days ago and only have used it once. So far so good, compared readings with yardage marker on the fairway and it was almost identical. My home course wasn't mapped so I did it myself, only took me 10 minutes. Liked tracking distance feature as well.

Great little app Used it for the first round today and main screen with green yardages worked very nicely. The detail screen was too time consuming and did not orient itself consistently tee to green on the screen which made it finnicky, annoying, and mostly useless for quick glance "distance to object" on course yardages. The Best App I Own! I have had this app for about a year. Love it! It is installed on my aging, mid-level, Motorola Bravo and works well. It's not a memory, data or battery hog (apparently). I have not yet come upon a course that was not in the database. The accuracy is generally very good. Remembering that the distances are based on user-supplied data. I had one course that I had questions on - but generally the distances are right on. When I think of those golfers paying BIG BUCKS for a Sky Caddy - it makes me smile and feel warm inside :) It has become my best golf accessory by far!

Works better than your driver Fantastic app. I used it on a Galaxy Tab 8.9. Turned all data connections off with only GPS on and used it solely to tell me how far to front, center, back of the greens. Worked flawlessly! Started with full battery and still had 73% after 18 holes. Did not try the map portion of the app as I'm generally only concerned with distance to green. Compared to on course yardarge markers and it was dead on just about everytime, never more than 5 yard difference. Most times is was exactly or 1 to 2 yards different than the course markings. Buy this app. You will not be dissappointed.

Excellent app for every golfer I was sceptical at first because of how inexpensive this app is, but I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I downloaded it. I compared this with a friends Skycaddie and this is very accurate, to the yard. I've used this on four different courses so far and haven't had any issues. No more looking for yardage markers because of how confident I am with this app.

Great Product, Great Support This device works great with Samsung Media Players, even though they are WiFi only. This means that you can only use the Main Distances screen but frankly, that's usually all that you need. The ability to download unlimited courses is great. Beyond the great app, their customer servicesupport is fantastic. They respond quickly, provide really good answers and are very willing to work with you. This app may be the best $2 you can spend on golf!
