[2013-09-20] A Google User: Recent update is terrible! I've never written a review before but feel NESN desrves a one star rating for their recent update. With all the ads on this app it is pretty much useless. What used to take one minute to accomplish now takes five. So many useless advertisements. App jumps around to different teams by itself. |

[2013-09-10] A Google User: Not sure how I feel about this I have a few issues with the NESN app the first being that not one video posted EVER works, I have a GS3 so have a hard time believing that it's an issue with my phone. Another issue I have is the ads, there is really no need to have an ad pop up everytime I navigate to a new page, especially when I'm moving to the second page of an article, by the time I can exit out of the ad, that takes up my entire screen, I've forgotten what I was reading. The final point I will make is the constant shifting of the page, I scroll down and see something that might be worth reading, and when I touch to open it all of a sudden my screen shifts and I click on something completely different, wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the afformentioned ads, because it seems whenever this happens (which sadly is often) I end up having to sit through the ad that inevitably pops up, then I can navigate back to the main page to be innundated by yet another ad, only to click on the story I originally wanted to read, to be hammered with, you guessed it, another ad. Come on NESN you make enough money you don't need to pummel your loyal viewers with all these ads. Fix this please. |

Okay so I understand the decision to incorporate ads to an app like this, but what frustrates me beyond belief is the fact that a video ad that I have no interest in viewing plays flawlessly in seconds but the videos in the app take forever to load or won't load at all. I personally would be okay with all of the ads if I could view David Ortiz hitting a game winning homerun with the same level of ease as I can watch a hair club for men ad. This is after all asports app, the sports should come first! |

[2013-05-30] A Google User: Not functional as a mobile app This has prompted me to write my first review. The app is essentially nonfunctional. It often won't scroll, has difficulty loading and opening the story I clicked on. When story opens, it often glitches. The Bruins have an amazing app. I wish there was a Red Sox Equivalent. I'm surprised there isn't. So, i've tried using nesn, but it's too frustrating. On to try mlb at bat(I don't like that espn score center requires an account). I wish this worked, but I can't get it to work well |

Everytime I open this app or return to its home page a full screen ad for McDonald's in SPANISH covers the screen and I have to wait for the animation to finish loading before it will close. When reading a story, you have to use the next and previous links to navigate. You can't effectively use the return button on the phone. It would be nicer if the story just scrolled down the screen on one page, making it easier to follow and reduce loading times. |
