[2011-03-13] Art Vandelay: Not bad at all. Speaks a bit too fast and speech rate is not adjustable. |
[2011-03-08] Kevan: Cool |
[2011-03-05] cincyreds: Top notch Not perfect, but excellent for Google Nav. Tends to read a little too fast (wish speed could be tweaked finer), but pronunciations are even better than SVOX and light years ahead of Pico. Those who say this is worse than Pico obviously have problems with their phone because everyone knows how robotic Pico sounds. I was using SVOX with Grace, but found Loquendo/Susan and it is even better. Just make sure to choose "Navigation" in the profile settings and it will tailor its output. |
[2011-03-04] Mario: Awesome tts |
[2011-02-13] Jeff: Not bad.. but pico still better for ebooks. It rushes past stuff pico doesnt miss and misses some punctuation. |
[2011-02-12] Shaunte: Demo/sample sounds unbelievable! In practice, its worse than pico. Takes >15 minutes to install/download so no refund. Spend your $ elsewhere. |
[2011-01-29] christian: Perfect but when using gps it sounds kind of weird but no problem Droid incredible |
[2011-01-26] Syntax, Kraze, T,: among the best of all TTS engines. needs more support from app devs. requires special punctuation to sound more human-like but sounds better than most |
[2011-01-18] David: Now that the voice data servers are up and running (an additional one-time data download is required), the app works great. |
[2010-12-12] Mark: Good vocal, much better than the original Android voice. Worth the cost of you navigate or speak text and lot. Nexus One |
[2010-11-30] xue: Voice sounds toooo fast on Google map |
[2010-11-11] Craig: I'm leaving my wife so Susan and I can run off together! Works SO much better than stock Pico tts! |
[2010-11-06] Joe: I like it a lot, 4 stars voice is a little choppy! But is realistic |
[2010-11-02] John: Doesn't work |
[2010-10-25] devOrbitus: This is great. To those who complain about Loquindo in Google Maps be sure to change the mode to Navigation mode in setup. |
[2010-09-30] jonathan: Loaded onto droid x 2.2 ..the voice is so much better than the default..I'm very pleased |
[2010-09-28] Adam: She sounds robotic without lots of punctuation that people wont normally use. If u write yourself a letter she sounds kinda hot... for a phone. |

[2010-09-28] takeshi: Voice is very good but it is choppy in Google Maps Navigation for some reason. |
[2010-09-26] Chris Smith: So much better than the built-in android tts it's hard to believe. |
[2010-09-25] Kris: Loquendo has always been the forefront of tts - and now it's on android - highly recommended for tts apps - shame about the interface and icon though |
[2010-09-24] iAmTheMountain: Demos sound great but its really choppy in navigation, dosn't have speed controls, and should be Way better for the price. IM GOING TO SVOX CLASSIC! |
[2010-09-21] Edward: voice is excellent, icon and ui are ugly. |
[2010-09-21] Scott: Not nearly as refined and smooth as the Vox Classic TTS engine, and costs 2.5x as much. It's good, but not the best. |
[2010-09-14] Tom: Great sexy voice, awesome TTS on Droid 2.2. It helps to set the TTS preference in OS to use this engine and to Always override app settings. V2.4 |
[2010-09-12] Chris: Nicely done, makes Google Nav sound much more natural, like a high end car nav system. |
[2010-08-24] Big Willis: Quality is not consistent with some words very natural and some unintelligible. Needs an interface to customize pronunciation. |
[2010-08-23] Aaron: Works ok, not as good as pico with abbreviations and pronunciation but the voice is friendlier. |
[2010-08-20] Greg: stupid POS can't even read St and Rd in google nav and they don't answer emails |
[2010-08-20] T: This app is excellent but last update broke Text to Speech synthesis. |
[2010-08-18] Darrin: Last update broke my text to speech engine |
[2010-08-18] Travis: Really glad for The update with all the extra support and faq on the site. This app is a MUST for anyone that uses navigation often. |
[2010-08-13] foebea: Awww... didn't see the froyo bit. The app works fine and speaks, but includes no built in text file reader. |
[2010-08-13] Dr.Evo: Needs a progress bar during install |
[2010-08-12] Chris: Ok, but I uninstalled because the American accent grates. The demo sounds great, but Google navigation still sounds poor - does it use the new voice? |
[2010-08-11] Harry: Can't get it to work with handcent. Ideas? |
[2010-08-10] Michael: Amazing voice but only worth downloading if you have Froyo. |
[2010-08-10] George: Much better voice than stock. Great work. |
[2010-08-08] Edzzik: Sounds like a real person. I was very pleasantly surprised. I think its a bit pricey though, but still crazy good. |
[2010-08-03] no_treble: Adds ability to read phone number, including the number you're calling and IMEI info, although these perms weren't listed in preinstall requirements |
[2010-08-01] Kevin.C.H Yu: This works fantastic with google's turn by turn navigation. |
[2010-07-28] Steve: Sounds quite realistic. Pronounces some non-dictionary words (e.g. "Facebook") in an interesting way, but still far superior to Pico etc. @KnightNZ |
[2010-07-27] Sangra69: Sad had to refund it. Mytouch cant configure other than Pico or espeak. Not Dev fault. |
[2010-07-21] Chris: Slooooo much better than the Pico voice. Would love more voices- male British, in particular. Well worth the money if you use TTS. |
[2010-07-21] carlrice: Works amazing in my app (Edwin). Would love to see address abbreviations spoken correctly, but certainly not a deal breaker. More languages please! |
[2010-07-19] tooaki: the maximum sound volume is too low compared to the built in google pico engine (hurts navigation etc). Will change rating when fixed. |
[2010-07-16] Matthias: I never expected a large vocabulary mobile train engine to sound so incredible. |
[2010-07-16] DINKI™: 꽤 좋은 tts엔진입니다. |
[2010-07-14] Paul: The voice is sweet, smooth, and clear. A huge improvement over the pico voice. |
[2010-07-13] Bruno: Excellent voice. Has issues with g nav ( crackling sound and phrases end abruptly. Can this issue be fixed? Other languages welcome too. PT please |
