The Twitter based home screen Tweet Widget displays Twitter tweets based on an adjustable search criteria or a timeline (friend, public or user). The widget contains buttons for your Timeline, your Mentions, your Favorites, Search, Current Trends as a heatmap and to Tweet. With the arrow buttons you can scroll the buttons. The configuration screen can be opened by selecting the edge of the widget. For a more detailed description about the buttons and other functionality you can go to http://www.cmwmobile.com.
You can tap on the tweet to open it and see more details about the tweet. Via the menu option you can follow, display the timeline, mark it as favorite, reply or retweet the tweeter. If the tweeter has a profile url set up, you can click on the profile icon to open it as well. If the tweet contains an @username, it can be selected to open that users profile.
Via the settings, you can select your own favorite Twitter client. Your Twitter client appears as an menu option within the tweet details menu and opens on selection. Furthermore, your Twitter client when you select the Tweet button on the widget.
This Widget makes use of the Twitter OAuth authorization. you will be asked to grant the Tweet Widget to use your credentials. You can use this Widget without a Twitter account but functionality is limited. You can just use the search criteria. You start this process by selecting the edge of the widget or one of the buttons. If you have granted the widget to use your Twitter credentials, the authorization process will not appear anymore.
By default or in case no tweets can be found for the provided keyword(s), the Twitter account of CMWMobile.com is used to display tweets.
It will take between 2 and 5 seconds before the first tweet appears (depending on your network speed). With the refresh interface, you set the time the tweet is displayed on screen. The number of tweets retrieved (max. 15 to 20) multiplied with the refresh interval gives the time between updates of the tweets.
