PERMISSIONS

We ask for the following permissions, for the following reasons:
1. Your personal information - read contact data (android.permission.READ_CONTACTS).
HeyStaks allows you to easily share individual Web pages with friends and colleagues via email, Twitter and Facebook. To make entering emails easier for you, we allow you to import your local contacts for your phone. We will never send emails to any of your contacts on your behalf without you having told us to, nor will we even import them without you saying so. Note: when you start the app for the first time, you will be asked to import your local contacts. If you agree to this, your contacts aren't stored externally, i.e. they remain on your phone, just within the app for easy access by you.
2. Network communication - full Internet access (android.permission.INTERNET)
This is a Web search app that allows you to search Google, Bing and Yahoo! To provide this service we have to be able to load any Web page, and hence we need your permission to access the full Internet.
3. Network communication - view network status (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
To use this app, an Internet connection is required. This permission allows us to detect when no connection is present and inform you so that you can check your connection settings.
