PowerCuts.in is an initiative to crowdsource information about Power Cuts in India. The project aims to collect information about planned & unplanned Power Cuts happening in India from mediums like Twitter, Mobile Web, SMS & Smartphone Apps, making it accessible in various formats and providing it back for public use.

Power Cuts Android app facilitates power cut reporting in less than 20 seconds. You can see power cuts reported across India & visualize those on map. You can create your own filters for power cuts reports based on location and/or time .

Much more convinient that tweeting Better than tweeting to report, as reports are auto-formatted an location data using GPS is quite accurate. Quicker as well
