Great way to explore the world and your local area. The latest version doesn't seem to let you zoom maps though making places hard to find.

The new Gowalla 3 got problem refreshing locations. U can go a few km away and the spot list wont update. GPS dun help, refresh button neither.

Foursquare check-ins Great app! But the check-ins shared on Foursquare aren't actually check-ins, they are just comments there. 5 stars if that works :)

Better than foursquare, but.. I love this app, its more user friendly and looks way better than foursquare, However foursquare has a larger fan base (which my friends are apart of). So I just use both!

Foursquare & Yelp are better Does not offer deals and discounts for check-ins like its competitors. Its pretty to look at but whats the point of becoming the mayor if I get nothing for it? Also even with GPS enabled It doesn't find my location unless i make SEVERAL attempts which usually takes longer than I am in a location if I am traveling. Pretty, but useless.

Awesome App I installed it to use for SXSW 2011 since I know they are local to Austin. It loaded very fast and worked great. I also found out little things going on and trends in the Area. Best part was when I went into some places, I would find out recommendations from other Users.

I lowered my rating from 5 stars to one star. Only things which are good on new UI are icons of stamps and pins. The rest of Gowalla sucks.
