Uses too much battery life, less accurate than native apps While I give it to stars for fast check it, this uses a lot of battery life. Also, I find this less accurate than the native apps. It runs all the time, draining more battery life than the display! It's on all the time and it's the app I use the least.

Love this app! If you have issues with this app, contact the developer! I know for a fact he is very receptive and prompt. Are those negative, one star reviews valid? Because it sure looks like the users didn't make the effort to communicate with the developers. There is such thing as a good consumer etiquette as well as a developer etiquette! Goes both ways.

Almost There My phone isn't the fastest thing on earth, I needed an app to be able to check-in to multiple services at once. As it seems development on Footfeed had come to a standstill, I'm glad I came across Checkin King. It's not exactly perfect, though. A lot of the permissions issues that the app originally asked for have been fixed (less phone permissions, no longer asks for root access). It's still asking for too much access on Facebook, but the developer states they are working on cleaning that up as well. Another issue is that it always wants to run in the background. This is likely due to wanting to do automatic checkins in the future. I would like for this to be optional, especially since my phone is limited on RAM and sucks down the battery a lot. Outside of those two issues, the app does what it says as for Foursquare and Google Places. (I didn't test with Facebook due to the permissions issue.) It's not 100% as it doesn't find some places available on Google Places, but for most major locations, it's fine. I have to give it 3 Stars until the permissions and background process issues are fixed. If you're not bothered by either of those two issues, I say give it a go.

Battery Drain I really like this app but the battery drain is really bad. It wakes my phone every few seconds and is responsible for 73% of my battery drainage. Using rooted G2X running latest CM7.

Eating milliamps on a bagel (because when you eat milliamps on a bagel you can eat amps any time) I noticed my battery life was crappy lately so I went and checked battery usage. Over 9 hours my battery usage was about 79% because of this app. It was constantly doing something, and I don't know what. I only set up the app and then never used it. With a task killer or something I am sure it wouldn't be a problem, but it needs to be fixed.

Great idea 3 stars for good idea to build an app that universally checks-in to all the Location-based services we are using. But the implementation won't work as the venue can't be merged to a single-click check-in. Perhaps a check box to check for each service to check-in. And the UI could be better. Keep up the good work. PS. The questionnaire is too intrusive. Asking for income? How is that going to be necessary for a profile unless you are conducting some kind of research...

Too much information If I could give a 0 rating I would. Your privacy policy scares me. You collect way too much personal data. You dont need to know my name, device id, phone number, etc. I never actually got past reading the privacy policy(and yes, I actually read it).

Lack of place merging There's a distinct lack of manual deduplication/place merging in this app. Footfeed for example supports this, as they've realized that location databases still aren't maintained all to well. It also pretty blatantly tries to get advertising data on you, even going so far as to ask for your income level. Just use AdSense, users won't flip their finger because of that. Other than that, clean interface and rather usable. Fix it and it might easily dethrone the clunky footfeed.

Pretty useless Pretty useless compared to 4sq as you aren't able to filter out user-made places. Where I live there's a big list of "My bed" and "Home Sweet Home" entries, but no actual businesses or places. This gives the app two star for effort. One more star is removed for the overly intrusive profile you're able to fill out. There is no reason for you people to know my income, etc. -- Avoid this app in favor of FourSquare.

Useful, imperfect Depending on the popularity of any given venue, the app works great, as the venue will have an iteration on most all the services. But since the app has no "create venue" feature for any of the services, it's sometimes more practical to use the respective native app for that check-in. That, and THIS APP WILL USE YOUR GPS IN THE BACKGROUND = SEVERE BATTERY DRAIN. That fix would be much appreciated.
