[2013-07-19] A Google User: Needs a major overhaul I have had this program on just about every Palm I have owned and loved it! Couldn't wait till they released a version for Android, but it needs some fine tuning. When I open the program it freezes which pretty much makes it useless to me. I will probably try to find one that works every time I open it. Please works out more bugs! |
[2013-05-25] A Google User: Totally backwards I used Splash Shopper back from Palm Pilot days. Back then it was a great program. Once they finally got the Android version up and running I tried it again, however it appears they're still stuck in the past. Utterly primitive by today's standards. Text to voice, online sync, share via sms etc... should be standard. Uninstalled for the last time. |
[2013-05-13] A Google User: love it I used it on a palm pilot then when I got my first blackberry I bought the BB version which was awful. Now I have an android and I don't even use the desktop version. I make out my list right on my phone. Easy to use, options for price, tax or non tax, quantity you need, price per unit, and gives you a total cost at bottom of screen. I've never been asked for the license except when I first installed. |
[2013-05-10] A Google User: Waste of Money Does not work, keeps crashing, no cloud sync or back up just a desktop that you have to buy. |
[2013-03-09] A Google User: Needs somework Windows mobile version was more stable. I updated Data on desktop, then synched it, but android will not allow choice of store. Win version also gave totals for completed as well as needed |
[2013-01-13] A Google User: Not as good as Palm version I loved Splashshopper on every Palm device I owned, but the Android version is buggy and hard to use. The worst thing is the way it freezes up on the pink screen if I hit "back" too many times. I have to power down my phone to get it to work again. I tried the Out of Milk app, but it doesn't track prices. Splash people, you need to pay attention to what the reviewers are saying and fix it! |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Needed lists don't sync properly. I checked sync settings on desktop and preferences in app and the needed lists don't sync. |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Android version is poor The original version of SplashShopper was developed for Palm. That vision was a great product. By comparison the android version appears unfinished. Basically it's rubbish with many of the original features either unfinished or they simply just don't work. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Get rid of splash screen! I'm another who has recently switched from Palm to Android. Tip: If you want your shopping lists in the new desktop, do NOT export/import (very buggy and crashes). Instead, create a list with the same name on the new desktop, then just select all items, copy, paste, from the list on your old desktop to the list on the new desktop. (Cumbersome, but actually saves a lot of time.) I was bewildered with the Android version at first, but quickly figured out how to do everything. I do appreciate the desktop and Android versions and have had no problems with synchronization. Expensive, but really worth it. But, yes, oh please, get rid of the darned splash screen (which makes you think it's hanging every time). |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Not to good There's no problems with this app, but its poor quality, it don't have any way to backup the database on the phone. You need to pay $10 for the desktop software in order to do backup there's no compare with tomarket. |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Excellent xfr from Palm Once I found that the export went into "standalone" user vs Samsung user everything went amazingly well including the sync. 2327 items xfr in 21 lists and all detail intact. My Cosmetics alone had 25 categories. Well done! |

[2012-07-23] A Google User: pretty good I have been using splashshopper since I had a Palm device. I love the app and how easy it is to customize. I have had a few problems since I installed it on my new Galaxy s3...it keeps crashing when I try to add a new item to a list. I'm hoping its a temporary glitch because I love this app! |

[2012-05-06] A Google User: Lame What the developers don't tell you in the description and documentation is you can't synch more than one device with a single list on your desktop. You end up with a different list for each "user" (= device). Better to find another app for lists. |

[2012-03-16] A Google User: Splashshopper Wow I couldn't figure it out @ first but with their help it is so easy and sync's super fast. This is the best list maker bar none available today. I had it on a Palm Centro and it worked great, when I installed it on my Android it is even better. Recommend this app. |

[2011-12-22] A Google User: Some quirks, but works well I've used SplashShopper for years on a Palm Treo, and liked it. It took some work getting my customized list from the Treo to my new Android, but a very helpful tech support rep walked me through it (including getting drivers to sync the Treo with my Win7 64-bit computer). Sync could be better documented. It requires WiFi connection, and syncs to desktop, not cloud; but do I really want my shopping preferences stored on somebody's hackable server somewhere? Comes with decent documentation on the handheld, and a pretty comprehensive default grocery list, easily customized. I only use it for groceries, but the variety of other lists included (including a travel checklist) makes it flexible. I did have it freeze up on start, but closing another open app seemed to fix it. Major negative: paying $5 for the app, then $10 for the desktop program to sync to. |

[2011-12-01] A Google User: There are a few issues with this app 1. On start-up, the 'splash' screen remains for 4 secs. Serves no purpose other than corporate vanity. Needs an option to suppress 2. The currency is fixed to $. The app should either remove the $ sign or support user defined currency prefix. 3. With a long list, when you change or open a record, when you file it, you are returned to the top of the list, not where you were! 4. Items selected as NEEDED remain in ALL ITEMS. Not helpful for a tick off list. Needs some refining. |

[2011-11-19] A Google User: Don't Bother. Your Memo app is more practical! Irritant #1: Splash Screen stays on for way too long before resuming to main list Irritant #2: Perpetually checking for License Irritant #3: (Biggest issue) to this day, and I have written in to them a few times- NO CLOUD sync. Which means, every time you create a list, you have to sync to desktop. How arcane is this. Uninstalled Desktop and Android App. What a mistake! |

[2011-09-17] A Google User: Finally released Loved it on my windows mobile. just upgraded to an Android. I don't get the point of total of unneeded items, wish it has the completed price total like Windows mobile had. Would be great if you would add that. Finally got it to sync to desktop when I did manual and specified the computer IP address. add the total completed price and I would give 5 stars. |

[2011-09-08] A Google User: BUGGED As a long-term SplashID user, I bought this in good faith. Category filters simply don't work. Multi-cat items 'unfiled'? Desktop sync broken. This needs substantial repair and polish, and we expect a better release from you, Splashdata! If there was a trial version of the handheld app, I wouldn't have paid the money for it's current state of functionality. Disappointing. |

[2011-09-05] A Google User: Disappointing Is this a beta???? Sync with Desktop overwrites Handheld doesn’t transfer Store or Category (That’s a BIG PROBLEM!!!!) =Multiple= store selection shows up as Unfiled The Category filter doesn’t work The Store Filter seems to sometimes work, sometimes not, depending on the All or Need view. For those of us who aren’t into using the app for pricing and lists that this feature is inappropriate for (like To Do) it's aggravating to have the worthless price bar take up so much screen real estate. |
