GamePlan: Games on Metacritic (v. 3.07) Разработано Blu3F1re |
A simple application to quickly search Metacritic for video games. It will display the metascore and you can click through to the Metacritic page for that game. You can filter out which consoles to search for in the settings menu. Consoles currently supported:
-PC
-PS2
-PS3
-Xbox 360
-Wii
-WiiU
-3DS
-DS
-PSP
-PS Vita
By clicking on the scanner icon you can use your phones camera to quickly scan the barcode of a video game. This feature requires a separate download of the app Barcode Scanner.
Once you click on the game you were searching for, you will be taken to the details page. If you are on restricted bandwidth you can disable box art downloads in the settings.
On the details page you go to the Metacritic site itself by clicking the Cover art or title text. You will be able to browse all the reviews and get more details on the Metacritic site.
Also on the cover page you can search multiple stores, currently:
-Amazon
-Amazon UK
-Best Buy
-Ebay
-Gamestop
-Play.com
-Toys R Us
to compare prices! More stores to be added in the future, let me know if there is a particular store you would like to see.

Application Permissions include the access to the internet, checking network connectivity, and writing to the SDCard to cache results. As well as in-app billing, if you would like to turn off ads.

[2013-07-29] A Google User: Needs game links Very simple display of video game Metacritic scores. Would give this app a much higher score if it provided links to the metacritic score breakdown pages. Knowing the score is good, but knowing why is great. Update: Developer pointed out that the feature I wanted already exists in the app, I just didn't know how to get there. Thank you, this feature just made your app much more usable. |

[2013-01-06] A Google User: Just a quick review score In short this is a quick look, not a mobile website app. You search and see the score, if you want more just click and you are sent to the site. The barcode scan is nice as well. |

[2013-01-02] A Google User: Not very useful at all Although the app gives you a metascore, it gives you no other information to go on to buy the game. It doesn't tell you if it's the user score or critic score (important for me as I don't trust the critic scores), and it doesn't give you any written reviews, which let you know the good points and bad points of a game. Something important when buying a game. In that sense, it's hardly a good guide for buying games. |
