TreesUK (v. 8.1) Разработано Crispythinking |
TreesUK is a simple reference guide to the more common trees to be found in Britain. TreesUK contains useful information about the tree, as well as high quality photographs of its bark, twig, flower and seed as well as interesting information about the wood of the tree. A companion app to the hugely successful BirdsUK.

[2013-01-13] A Google User: Can't move to SD The review said that this issue had been addressed, but I couldn't move to SD card on my Sony Ericsson Xperia wave. Uninstalled. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Image gallery does NOT work on Samsung Galaxy S3 Image gallery does NOT work on Samsung Galaxy S3 as another review has already stated. Otherwise works fine. Images do not fit on screen properly and are of no use. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: HTC DESIRE S ANDROID 2.3.5 WON'T MOVE TO SD CARD SO NOT FIXED AND BIRDS WOULD NOT EVEN DOWNLOAD! |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Treefella72 Not bad for the professional. I bought it to show customers the trees what I would be planting or what they wanted (for and against) just common trees mind and did think robinia pseudoarcacia would of been on their! Like others I cant move to sd card. And why oh why that pick of the lime with the witches broom all over it? |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Disappointing - Doesnt work on S3 An attempt to improve on the Trees of Britain app, this version wants to let you see enlarged thumbnails. BUT, This function doesnt work on an S3, the pictures dont scale properly to the screen size and all the tree types are shown linked together, which is awful. Otherwise it could be a good app but with such basic functionality problems i regret paying for it |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Poor half-hearted attempt Really poor content! Technically the app works well, content wise it's hopeless. Only one photo of each tree doesn't help much as trees come in so many shapes and sizes, not to mention the variation due to the seasons. I found in practice it is quite useless in the field. I did send an email to the developers with suggestions, DIDN'T EVEN GET A REPLY. Left with the feeling they threw something together quickly to make a bit of money and sod the customers! Months later, still can't get a reply, boo! |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Very good. Nicely presented app that gives you all you need to know to not only recognise trees but also learn more from typical lifespan to wether its a native species. Accompanied by quality produced images of not only the tree but close up at the bark, fruit and leaves. Certainly worth the small price. Looking forward to using this with my son next time we are out walking. |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Storage problem Good app for casual nature lover, but at 83MB its too big since it won't move to the SD card on my S2 (which only has 2GB of usable memory for installing apps). Other apps will have the 'Move to SD card' icon available. |
[2012-10-14] A Google User: Trees Good app but very slow. Even crashes S3 |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Treesuk Laughing aside! Basic. Just a few common trees that everyone should know. Unless they've been living in the polar regions or desert. And decided to come to the uk for a woodland visit. As the arb man said buy a collins book its shzt but it is way better than this. I wouldn't even give it a star. But it wont let me! |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: Michael I agree with other users - this would be much better if you could move it to an SD card. Minor quibble tho' - excellent companion to the UK Birds app. Like to see an entomology one .... |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Stev It seems a good app, but I can't get it to work well. It's slow. When I click anything it takes a while for it to respond and also I can't view any of the pictures in gallery in full screen, there all narrow and squashed together. |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: great this is what i was looking for, thanks |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Good app but bad storage habits Very good app, with pictures of trees, leaves and bark, and useful written info. However, I had the same problem as the other reviewers: this app would not move to the sd card but, unlike Neil's good experience, the developers did not reply to my requests for a way to get it to move. And it is quite a big app to have stuck permanently in the phone's memory. Think I may have to delete it, which is a pity when I've paid, and it is a good reference work. |
[2012-07-26] A Google User: Poor image resizing |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Top quality, portable content. Excellent support. For a small, portable Android app, the content could hardly be better; it certainly is not reasonable to compare it with a thick volume in the Royal Horticultural Society library. Whilst out walking, it provides everything I need - and it fits in my pocket! The only problem appears to be one that Google is not being helpful in solving; the issue of moving the app to the SD Card. However, the developer can provide a personal solution and the response is unbelievably fast (an email response in less than 10 minutes, following the release of version 8.1). |
[2012-06-28] A Google User: Disappointing Pictures are not good, app is small, it is not very interactive. Disappointing considering you have to pay for it |
[2012-06-21] A Google User: Excellent app and customer service. Excellent app - the first I ever saw fit to pay for. As reported by an earlier user, the customer service is out of this world. I received apk and detailed instructions on how to install to SD in only a few hours after sending my initial request. |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: Great app and brilliant support Loved the app but couldn't move to SD card on my HTC Desire. After an email to developer (which he answered in less than 4 hours!) I was provided with a version that worked. |
[2012-05-19] A Google User: Ok It's ok but needs more trees. And its very slow |
[2012-05-07] A Google User: Not accurate Im a qualified arborist and forester. A lot of information in this app is false. Collins do a better book for a fiver. Its worth it. |
[2012-05-01] A Google User: Trees and Bird s Thanks heaps. Both fab. |
[2012-04-18] A Google User: Can't move to sdcard Interesting but limited database. Can't move to sdcard on desire so have had to uninstall |
[2012-03-28] A Google User: Super customer support Great app with lovely clear pictures. I had the "can't move to sd card" issue on my Samsung GT-S5830 and emailed the developer. He replied within 5 minutes and I had it fixed in 10. I'm going to buy the birds app from the same developer right away. |
[2012-03-21] A Google User: Pretty Good Nice useful App, but as mentioned previously, won't let you move to SD card on Galaxy S2. Good otherwise. |
[2012-03-18] A Google User: Trees uk cant move to Sd card. Good app but is let down by not letting you move it to the SD card. On Samsung galaxy S2. So lose some stars just for that but will give 5 star once this has been sorted out. Also l have just uninstall the 80+ meg app Brids UK by the same people as this app, for the same reason, wont move to SD card. |
[2012-03-12] A Google User: TreesUK - excellent Once you have this resource you'll wonder how you did without it. Settle arguments, inform discussions and just make a walk in the country more enjoyable. |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: By car the best app for trees...have tried the big name ones. Love the layout. Really easy to navigate and I'D. |
[2012-03-06] A Google User: Good Ace |
[2012-02-27] A Google User: excellent software Great software great to check out UK trees what's next insects? |
[2012-02-22] A Google User: Works on Samsung Galaxy SII !!!! Having had this app working on my old HTC, I was disillusioned with not support for my Galaxy. However, I emailed the developer and although he was not sure why it was advertised as not compatible, he hot it working for me. Very happy bunny indeed! Thanks! |
[2012-02-01] A Google User: Nice application, needs tweaking. Great support. Installed fine, but wouldn't move to SD card. The support from the dev was brilliant as he provided assistance the same day. :) and pointed me at an .apk for the SD card version. THAT is an example of what good customer support should be like from all companies. The application may need updating though as details for the walnut (at least on the version I have installed) are out of synch in the gallery: Leaf shows Bark, Bark shows Fruit/Flowers, Flower shows Catkins, Catkins shows Bud 5 star for the dev support alone.:) |
[2012-02-01] A Google User: Could do with better pictures The telegraph pole in front of the sycamore is the best example of a poor choice of photo but there are many more |
[2012-01-27] A Google User: Two good apps The Treesuk and the Birdsuk apps by the same developer are very good. To be precise BirdsUk is absolutely fabulous and the TreeUk apps is very good. I recommend them both. My only criticism is that TreesUk could be more extensive both types and detail. I had some problem getting the BirdsUk apps off Android Market but the developer (Rick) was brilliant and helped me through it. |
[2012-01-11] A Google User: UK TREES installed onto SD card TREESUK now downloaded and installed onto SD card. HTC Desire. Wonderful application with so much information to access when away from an internet connection, computer or books. Missing out on a few species, does not stop it getting 4stars. It could do with the ability to link our own pictures and notes, even to the extent of adding own entries. I appreciate we could and should suggest to the developer which items to add but it is still a superb app. An identification quiz would be very nice addition Ken. |
[2012-01-03] A Google User: Sean Good app, but still doesn't give option to move to sd card. Those with low internal memory, avoid. HTC Sensation. |
[2011-11-17] A Google User: John Handy app . Could not at first move to SD card ; but the developer ,kindly sent the app to me via e-mail which I copied from my PC to my HTC DESIRE |
[2011-11-12] A Google User: Simple, effective Can ID trees using bark, seed, leaf, whole tree appearance etc. Smooth operation, not slow at all on Nexus S |
[2011-11-10] A Google User: Requires better interface to identify trees via twig, bark or leaf throughout the seasons Too cumbersome and slow unless you already know what tree you are identifying, so therefore only really useful as a catalogue for British trees. |
[2011-10-18] A Google User: Wanted this app but I could not move it to my SD card so had to install it ;-( However I was contacted by Crispythinking and sent a version that will! |
[2011-10-12] A Google User: So Sloooooooow Good content for somebody like me who walks a lot and needs to identify common UK trees throughout the year. However, Slow, slow, slow! Come on developer guy, sort it out. I would be tempted with birdsUK but not until you fix this sloth-like reaction time. Sorry, but only 3 stars... |
[2011-09-25] A Google User: Useful app, learnt alot, could do with more content. Thanks! |
[2011-09-12] A Google User: Could be a nice app, but dev seems incapable of fixing app to SD problems latest update reversed previous fix. HTC Desire. |
[2011-09-01] A Google User: Please, please, PLEASE enable "move to SD card"! |
[2011-08-07] A Google User: Good informative app but it does not move to SD |
[2011-08-05] A Google User: OK could do with more species more detail and transfer to SD (HTC Desire) |
[2011-08-04] A Google User: Excellent just what i was looking for. |
[2011-07-31] A Google User: Not accurate, not a good selection of photos representing some species. Better off with a book |
[2011-07-21] A Google User: Very nice, limited trees though. UI is slow and navigation is difficult. Order refunded. |
[2011-07-18] A Google User: I can see the trees for the wood at last! A fantastic app that does what it says on the tin, and very well too! It enhances any woodland walk. Hope you bring out a similar app for common wild flowers. |
[2011-07-14] A Google User: C'mon dev, updates please or have you just given up on this app? |
[2011-07-11] A Google User: More coniferous trees would be good. |
[2011-07-03] A Google User: Disappointing - Uninstalled It's just a list of trees, with a description and some photos. Quite nice, but not actually helpful in guiding you towards making an identification. Points: 1) Why does it need internet access? What does it do with it? 2) No, it still won't copy to the SD card because it says the app is copy protected. 3) The photos distort if the phone is held in "portrait" mode - need to hold "landscape" mode to view them. |
[2011-06-10] A Google User: Limited information and species but apps like this need to be supported so they can improve. Good start. |
[2011-05-24] A Google User: Ok, but not a large catalogue |
[2011-05-24] A Google User: Good reference, although the app has a bit of a delay accessing some of the menus and photos. Using HTC desire HD. Hope future updates will fix this. |
[2011-05-23] A Google User: Nice app, but it won't move to SD card on my HTC Desire 2.2 |
[2011-05-17] A Google User: Great app, looking forward to more :) Both this and BirdsUK are great apps. I had a problem moving to SD card with HTC Desire, but Rick very quickly and happily resolved the problem - thanks Rick. Great to use in the park with the children :) |
[2011-05-09] A Google User: Very useful app but wish it had the quiz option like birdsUK. Still very good. I would recommend it. |
[2011-04-19] A Google User: nice program. limited number of trees albeit British which is nice. program is a little slow at times and is very hard to exit. I have to kill task |

[2011-02-12] A Google User: Useful programme, but still not moveable to sd card. when it is it will be treated higher, as its far to big to leave on my phone. |
[2011-02-09] A Google User: This is a beautifully presented app. Trees can be identified from photos of leaf, fruit or bark etc. Hopefully more obscure trees will be added later. |
