[2012-11-19] Laird: Traveling Spellbook This reminds me of the era of tue Uneathed Arcana, where a speelcaster could take with them adventuring a pocket spellbook with their basic spells or their daily memorised spells. This is much better. But if I input into Spellbook App, will I lose everything if I lose my phone or I have to reboot the cell hardrive? I gave a better rating this tme for fresher look. When I actually use this app I will give a better honest rating. |
[2012-11-18] Joanne: So convenient! Love it! The apostrophes come out as weird symbols so the coding needs to be debugged to output as strings, but it's awesome! |
[2012-11-16] John: Problem I bought 1000 gold, but I cant buy another spellbook. I don't even have any gold I showing. It's says it's supposed to be replenishable, not to mention I only have a default spellbook. |
[2012-11-13] Michael: Nicely done. This is how apps should work! |
[2012-11-12] Austin: Very awesome |
[2012-11-08] Andy: Help Its all cool but how do you use the spells?:( |
[2012-10-26] the 11/1/2012 Lame. It's pay to use. All of the srd rules are online for free. This app makes you pay per character sheet. It's really not worth it. |
[2012-10-22] Chase: Awesome! Could you add the ability to create a cus Awesome! Could you add the ability to create a custom spell(for house rule and setting-specific spells)? Update: 2 years later and still no custom spells. Works well on my Nexus 7 though. |
[2012-10-21] Rabbit: Not for rangers This is a fantastic app and is amazingly simply to use. Unfortunately, the spell list for the Ranger is incomplete and lists spells under the wrong level than what is listed in the 3.5 PHB. I would love to use this app, but sadly, am unable to for this character. |
[2012-10-21] Max: Almost Perfect Really great. Only a few things I'd like to see: A spell manager for druids and clerics, that tracks your spells each day. Correct the apostrophe encoding problem. They come out as something strange. Also, a little bit prettier for tablets would be nice. All in all though, this app is extremely useful. |
[2012-10-16] Joshua: Works well Pretty handy for a quick reference, lacking some of the other book content and has a few minor bugs. Sometimes the add to spell book button will favorite but not add to the spells, but still an invaluable tool for mages. |
[2012-10-12] Idai: Its an okay app I loved it up until i wanted another spellbook archive for another character and found out i had to pay. I paid the 2.99 to support what i thought was a good app. but Im still waiting for my 75gp. |
[2012-10-08] mega: Not helpful. FC's when I try to edit my spell book . |
[2012-10-04] Sam: Fraud! You have to pay more after buying it! I gave two stars instead of, because (1) I'm not a hater, and (2) the dev. at least listens to users' requests. It would be so much better if this was sold for $2 as the Pathfinder spellbook, instead of giving the pretence that this app is actually free. At least write so in the description, then it wouldn't be so many 1-star ratings from irritated/confused users. Because, the app is brilliant in itself, but the limitations are dreadful. Replace the limitations with an ad bar, if you have to. Act honest toward your future users, please. Or release another, full version and rename this to Trial. If I am to pay for it, I'd appreciate if the app was tested more before it was released. I flicked through the Sorcerer spells, and for each instance there was an apostrophe it rendered it incorrectly, and instead there was some obscure characters in its place. It even force-closed several times during the ten minutes I tried it, and the last time it happened, the _one_ free custom spellbook I was allowed to create, simply disappeared, and I couldn't recreate it -- the only option left was to pay for a new one(!) |
[2012-09-16] Nick: Could be better. I love the bones of this app but it isn't a complete spell list. I would love to see an update that adds the spells from the "complete" series of books. |
[2012-09-16] Rob: Ok and almost great. Could use a "select all" or multiple select spell option |
[2012-09-15] Sean: Excellent app. This app sees use at our table every game |
[2012-09-14] reese: Great app. Easy to use |
[2012-09-11] Crystle: Kit It has good spells in it but it needs the damage thay the spell does |
[2012-09-09] Jen: Newbie Love it just what I needed |
[2012-09-02] Nick: James |
[2012-09-01] Luis: Great App! useful to check out all your spells in a quick way |
[2012-08-31] C: Great source for spells. I really love this app. Being able to look up spells to double check other players and having my spells listed so I don't have to take back PHBs from the other players is very usful in speeding up game-play. My only real complaint is that after trying to purchase the in-app add-on so I could have more spell-books (I play in two different games and DM a third) I could not get it to work/update the app so I could use the new spell-books. I was refunded with no issues but I would rather just have had the usability. Attempted this twice with no luck. |
[2012-08-28] Patricio: Great stuff Perfect for, well anything to do with spells for dnd :D |
[2012-08-28] Roderick: Perfect for play Amazing app and we use it all the time. Found one small issue, when spells are selected and you sort them by class, domain spells of clerics don't show. Love the app |
[2012-08-22] Scott: Sladorin Great app saves so much time |
[2012-08-12] Omega: Great and almost awesome. Great source and aggregate of the open 3.5 info on spells. I look forward to seeing how you get around the hurtled of © and custom spells. (Import txt file? Or images of txt?) I'm excited just thinking of it! |
[2012-08-12] Neal: 10 year veteran I would like to see more spells, but I also understand that it would require the dev to buy rights to use them. I have been playing dnd for going on ten years and this is an extremely useful tool for any spell- caster or DM. If the dev could make additional spell lists as a paid addition to cover the cost to them and make multiple saved lists free, this would not deserve less than 5 stars from anyone. |
[2012-08-12] Deshaun: Awesome Freaking awesome |
[2012-08-02] alan: This is aswome This helps so much I dont need fiddley pages |
[2012-08-02] Adara: If only.. This would be more amazing..actually perfect if you added more classes (wu jen.. assassin.. beguiler, etc). |
[2012-08-01] Robert: Network access? Why do you need network access to the play store and elsewhere? Now I have to uninstall. So sad. |
[2012-07-31] Chelsea: Close to perfection Everything I could want. Except! More classes (wu jen please and thank you!) would make it perfect. |
[2012-07-31] Morgan: Nice Its a nice app but it needs more spells, these are pretty much just from the players handbook, i suggest adding spells from the Spell Compendium as well. |
[2012-07-31] John: Nice ref! |
[2012-07-30] Alex: brilliant very handy. only missing the ability to add personal and custom spells to the database. |
[2012-07-30] the 7/31/2012 GREAT app, really useful, completely amazing at that in-game moment where you go ''I shall cast.... Uh... Uh...'' I love it. |
[2012-07-28] Jereme: JY Great, if it had spells per day and custom spells it would be perfect. |
[2012-07-18] Chris: Custom spellbook please I like it. I want to see create your own spell option and in "my spell book" organize the spells by level not alphabetically. Give me some options here. |
[2012-07-16] Landon: Great This app is awesome. Everything is sorted well and easy to find. I only wish I could have my spells per day, and perhaps custom spells. Still an awesome app. |
[2012-07-10] the 7/10/2012 Golden This app is great, use it every game |
[2012-06-21] Enrico: Crashy Samsung infuse, got this and it kept crashing, even when not in use. |
[2012-06-11] Stuart: Extremely Useful For the price you just can't beat this! Very handy for 3.5 D&D games where just the regular PHB spells are used. |
[2012-06-10] Matt: Best spellbook app This app is amazing. in the future, I hope to see more spells and domains (Celerity, etc). Also, an option to select what books are allowed in a campaign so only those spells are listed. |
[2012-06-06] Steven: Not a free app All features, such as actually making a spellbook, require money. Only thing that is free is a list of SRD spells taken right off the website. |
[2012-06-03] mathew: Love it Helps so much during game. Devs should include spells from the divine handbook for us clerics. |
[2012-06-03] christopher: Good Just make a one time fee gold version and it would be great |
[2012-05-26] stephen: Review Very nice but lacking. I'd love to be able to add custom spells. Spells from other d&d books and additional features would be nice. I will re-rate and buy gold when fixed/updated. |
[2012-05-24] Joshua: Needs more content Needs to have the other books available for use. Other than that its great. |
[2012-05-23] marion: Pretty nice app Has a great feel you can bookmark pages & organize spells easily ..but only from phb still nice though |
[2012-05-14] Mark: Great app for spellcasters! Well done!!! Excellent spell organizer Great app for any 3.5 spellcaster. Can you add a daily spell count tracker? Can you show spell level on My Spells list? |
[2012-05-11] Dakota: Brilliant Re-release with spell compedium and complete mage spells added and further sorting into Abjur Conj Divi ect. for class spell lists. Myself and many more would pay for this excellent format as is let alone with those additions. I'm thinking $4.99. Please and thank you for this excellence. |
[2012-05-10] Chris: Awesome Thanks for this awesome app |
[2012-04-28] the 5/4/2012 : Very useful Recommend categorizing by school as well (i.e. Illusion), otherwise great app. |
[2012-04-26] Daniel: Good app Cool app saves me time! Some spells use names different from the player's handbook though |
[2012-04-25] Daniel: Good job WOW. Is all I can say! Practically every single spell since the beginning of dungeons and dragons. amazing! |
[2012-04-16] Reed: Good start Sound app, not buggy at all. All it needs are spells from other books, such as the complete character books and such. More variety the better. |
[2012-04-13] Joshua: DM's best friend. Ever have one of those players that delights in nothing more than arguing over rulings? This will go a long way toward shutting them up :) |
[2012-03-31] the 3/31/2012 Money Clean, easy to use, organize, and read. Only have to spend money to create different spellbooks, which I don't need. |
[2012-03-30] Walt: Incomplete It has the PHB spells, but there are other books they could have added the spells from to get a more complete list. And there is no reason to make people continually pay for the feathers they charge for. That being said, it's a good application and a lot more handy than having to rifle through the spell chapter or look up a PDF. |
[2012-03-29] daniel: Love it Such a useful app! |
[2012-03-27] John: Almost there! Just a few more features and it's a 6 star app! |
[2012-03-27] Matt: AngryDwarf I love this app! |
[2012-03-25] Dwight: 1 gripe that I'm sure you have read already Add in a daily spell list and I will give you that last star |
[2012-03-24] Keegan: Sub-Par It's lacking a daily spell list, custom spell addition, and a sort option in the favorites, like between different classes. |
[2012-03-06] Daniel: Please make a 4e spellbook Wow this is amazing! A real must have for dnd players. Is there any chance of a 4.0 spell book. If you made one I will love you!!! |
[2012-03-05] Austin: 3.5 fun Great ap, easy to use |
[2012-03-04] Kirby: Begware The description doesn't say that to add custom spells costs GP, which costs money. Would not mind if there was a pro version instead, but you have to constantly spend money to use some features. Sucky way to do business. No matter how many times you pay or how much you still hasn't bought the right for unlimited use. |
[2012-03-01] Bernardo: Must have If you play a lot of spellcaster characters, you must buy this app. I'll give 5 stars if they develop a daily spell management. |
[2012-02-24] Joshua: Easy of use and comprehensive If evey app put this much effot into making a good product the app store would lack nothing. |
[2012-02-20] Leigh: Love it! Much faster than paging through all my books! |
[2012-02-07] T: Great reference |
[2012-02-03] Brian: Beautiful Beautiful app! |
[2012-01-28] J.B.: Great Although the option to buy other spellbooks is strange...this is still a great compendium of spells for FREE. |
[2011-06-14] Derek: Would be fantastic, but please add the warlock class |
[2011-06-11] Trey: Three things would make this great app 5 stars 1) Add custom spell interface. 2) Turn schools on or off (prohibited schools). 3) Multiple profiles. |
[2011-06-04] George: Incredibly handy reference, don't suppose there's a psionics one about? |
[2011-06-02] Joe: Best find as of yet for a quick refrence. |
[2011-05-29] Andrew: I love this app, but it needs the ability to add custom spells. That way those of us who own additional books, or custom content, can add them in. |
[2011-05-22] Drew: Fantastic app. I'd love to see the SRD psionics and epic stuff included too. Also the ability to add your own spells. Otherwise, completely awesome. |
[2011-05-21] Michael: I have to admit, I do not know a great amount about D&D, however, I do know about quality apps. One of those apps to have just to have. A++ |
[2011-05-18] shawn: Good app nice for game night when short on books. |
[2011-05-15] John: Great app! Any chance of adding the Cleric domains from pg 84 of players guide to faerun? |
[2011-05-12] Oberon: Amazing for any 3.5 spellcaster! |
[2011-04-30] Brian: Super awesome. Very convenient. I would love the ability to add custom spells. :-) works perfectly. Samsung galaxy s. |
[2011-04-23] Jane: Great app - very helpful! Would love to have a list of prepared spells and to check them off when used. Also have it update spells based on my level. |
[2011-04-21] Zachary: How do u do the spells? |
[2011-04-17] Rocio: Can you release v4? It would help alot but otherwise great app! |
[2011-04-08] Oriahna: Awsome but i don't know how to start it.®™© |
[2011-04-07] Stephen: Good app |
[2011-04-07] Brandon: I great app. But it needs an interface to add new spells for private use. |
[2011-04-07] Fivos: Great app! I would like to see in the future more spells from other books as well... |
[2011-04-03] Kodey: Very handy AP to have. Sucks up my battery though |
[2011-04-02] victoria: It sucks u cant do spells doesn't hav chant or ingredients 4 spell |
[2011-03-30] John: Great app. Would love the ability to create custom spells. Keep up the good work! |
[2011-03-30] Stacy: Great app 5 stars! |
[2011-03-30] Ashley: Very quick and easy to use app. Wish it had more spells from other books though. |
[2011-03-28] Stone2065: Indespensible for a gamer A great reference for either the gamer or DM during game. I can look up a spell as fast or faster than our DM, and also be able to make a custom spell list (albeit for only one character, please add more?) that I can access without going through the entire spell list. If there was a pay version, I'd buy it. |
[2011-03-28] Sandro: It needs spells from other books, Complete, Races, etc. Other than that, no complains. |
[2011-03-23] Jordan: Pretty great. More content or the ability to add custom spells would put it over the top. |
