Scripture A Day is a homescreen Widget that provides you inspirational LDS scriptures each day. Check out the Premium version for texting and browsing the daily scriptures or the Big Print version for larger fonts and larger widget.

This application does NOT open - it is a widget.

It is installed on a homescreen that has 4 open icons by tapping Settings > Add > Widgets > Scripture A Day

Excellent I love this app. My mom uses it, my dad uses it, all my fellow deacons use it, and now that I have a capable device, I use it too. The scriptures are always inspiring, and feel as if they were chosen just for me. By the way, Mormons are Christians. We follow God and his son, Jesus Christ. There are so many rumors surrounding us that unless you are Mormon, you don't exactly understand it, similar enough to most religions. So, clarify before you say something.

Great please add reference to gospel library. :) Okay this is an amazing application could you add cross referencing with Gospel Library though? I would really appreciate that so it doesn't bring up a big loading web page every time I see it. Other than that I love it!

You wouldn't dare criticize it if it had verses from the Muslim scriptures and yet Mormons are Christians if you people would bother to find out what we actually believe instead of just mindlessly parroting what your minister told you!

Read this Let's get this straight. The review is on the app, not your ignorance of its intended purpose. Just because you aren't a Mormon doesn't mean that you have to give it a bad rating. If you didn't realize it was Mormon, try reading the title next time. The app itself is great and deserves some more appreciation.

Works great! Has a cashe so you dont need your wifi or 3g on all week! My only problem is that it cuts off the bottom of the quote too shprt sometimes

Helpful, but needs work Decent app, but some scriptures are misquoted or wrongly cited. For example, today's scripture said Ephesians 37:7 when it was really Ezekiel 37:7.1
