Satellite Flybys (v. 1.1.4) Разработано Finch Consulting LLC |
Would you like your phone to alert you when the ISS, shuttle, or even spy sats are flying overhead? Simple! Satellite Flybys turns your phone into a full-featured satellite tracker with flyby alarms and more.
If you want to learn something about the satellites you are seeing instead of just getting a name and a number (what is an SL-16 R/B anyway?) this is the app that does that. For each satellite listed there is a description and a photo (when available). And our dataset is maintained by pros so we only track the most interesting of the 100's of visible satellites.
As an educational tool for casual sky watchers, Satellite Flybys beats the others hands down. And if you are an avid satellite spotter, this app is a good way to introduce others to your hobby. Also, unlike some of the other satellite spotting apps, the flyby predictions are stored so they are available offline. That's important if you go out to a nice dark sky area to view flybys and don't happen to have cell coverage there.

[2013-09-20] A Google User: Too much trouble Never could use it. When I bring the app up the words were there but it was covered with sentences over the top of sentences. Kinda disappointed after spending money |
[2013-09-17] A Google User: Stellar App!! *.* Super easy to use... even has alarms you can set to view satellite flybys in your particular area. Never had any issues with this app. WORTH THE FEE!! :) ~using my Samsung Galaxy Stellar (cough cough) works awesome. LOVE IT!!!!!!! |
[2013-08-06] A Google User: Fun entertaining |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: This app, the first I ever bought, just doesn't work, and regardless the device on which I try to use it. If a user selects to receive automatic alerts for a chosen satellite(s), such as ISS, that object should then issue an alert accordingly. Nope. Never does. Never did. The app itself says the object will be visible. Save your money. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Rhajah How is possible for this software ? |
[2013-04-22] A Google User: Does what it says.. Great product.. Accurate. I set reminders and go out with my children to see the ISS or other rockets. Kinda cool to do that. |
[2013-03-01] A Google User: Needs update especially sharing option! This is a great app, but it needs some updating. There is no way to share or tweet the information which is a great item needing to be added. Please update this app and allow sharing on Facebook and Twitter! |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Nice Id give it 5 stars if it ran off the sd card. |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: does not work for me in uk downloaded it to my google nexus 4 running jellybean 4.2.1. Tried using the GPS but it will not pick up my location, the app thinks i am in new york, and will not recognise a uk postcode when i try and manually force it to my location. All my other apps ie google maps and navigation recongnis my location so the app is at fault not the phone. i appear to have wasted my money on this app. |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Needs updating! Alerts not working at all. Without alerts the app is nearly useless. No map or compass, have to use in conjunction with Satellite AR. Get the alerts working properly and I'll be happy. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Amazing Me and my friend tested this app in Shropshire, united kingdom we tracked the international space station and it appeared in the correct direction the correct time by the second and finally proved it wasn't a UFO me and my freind kept seeing, love this app the information is great as well, thank you. |

[2012-08-29] A Google User: Not accurate, wrong dates. Do you use this and find that you 'miss' an ISS pass? You didn't miss it, this thing is wrong! The ISS is too bright to miss. Try on line sources instead. |
[2012-06-16] A Google User: Its ok ish Good tool but dont think its database is that good point to sky would help. |

[2011-10-02] A Google User: Don't waste your money.... I have yet to find a satellite using this app. Not sure if database or location reference is corrupt but I've "missed" all the viewings the app has showed for multiple nights. However, each night I see multiple satellites go over that aren't shown in the app...these aren't faint passes, they are very obvious. Also, it has no sky view map to show the path through the sky. Waste of money & time...just use internet until app improved. |

[2011-09-01] A Google User: Excellent App!! I like that when I look at the list of visible satellites, that the bigger the dot, the more visible or Brighter the satellite is. It's fun that when I am with my friends, I can drag them all outside and see a satellite (the reminder feature is handy too). This app is pretty easy to use. I like it!!!! |
