CAUTION!!!
Some models may be causing the problems. I tested only with HT-03A. Sorry.

A printed Japanese Kanji or a compound is scanned with the camera, and able to consult the Kanji-English dictionary(Web-Site) after OCR(Web-API) are executed.
But not perfect.

crashes Crashes my HTC droid incredible 4g immediately, sucks because only lite version works, which has very limited functionality. I need an app like this that WORKS.

Great tech demo! The OCR functionality is EXCELLENT. It works great! The app as a whole isn't really particularly usable, though. As a tech demo for NHOCR it's fantastic, but if you're thinking you can point this at a Japanese magazine and get a useful real time translation, you should probably move along

Way too clunky and inaccurate to be of any use. Do it the old-fashioned way and use SKIP or radical lookup.

Great idea, but the viewfinder is way to small and needs to be used up close, but then the phone creates a shadow and the kanji is unreadble on g1.
