Using advanced artificial intelligence techniques, RhymeBrain figures out how to pronounce a word even if it has never seen it before. RhymeBrain then compares it to the 260,000 words in its database to find ones that sound similar. Finally, it sorts them so that the best rhymes appear first.


Using our RhymeRankTM system, we display the best rhyming and most commonly used words first, but please excuse us if there are some spellling mistakes. RhymeBrain contains 2.6 million words, and it's not possible to check all of them for errors.

You need a way to input Japanese hiragana. I recommend Simeji.

Dictionary data (from EDict project) is automatically downloaded from Internet.

JED from Attila Korompai is a more comprehensive although bigger dictionary (20MB versus 1MB).
