DEX for Android is an OFFLINE and online Romanian explanatory dictionary - Dictionar Explicativ Roman - (http://dexonline.ro) - DEX pentru Android.

For the widget to work you need to:
1. install DEX application on the internal memory - the widget won't work if you move the app to the external card (limitation from Android)
2. install the offline database from http://dex.adrianvintu.com
3. configure the database path in DEX app, menu option Preferences. The database path can be /sdcard/dex.dict or sdcard/external_sd/dex.dict or where ever you want.You can also copy the database file to the external micro SD card.

+ am adaugat WIDGET - in sfarsit! :)
Pentru ca widgetul sa functioneze trebuie sa:
1. instalati aplicatia DEX in memoria interna - widgetul nu va functiona daca mutati aplicatia pe cardul extern (limitare de la Android)
2. instalati baza de date offline de la http://dex.adrianvintu.com
3. configurati calea catre baza de date in aplica DEX in meniul Preferinte. Calea catre baza de date poate fi /sdcard/dex.dict sau sdcard/external_sd/dex.dict sau oriunde doriti dvs. De asemenea o puteti copia pe cardul extern micro SD.

Explanation of permissions:

Location: for the compass that shows you where a capital city is and how far away it is.

Internet: get Flickr pictures and show advertisements

Network state: For advertisements.

Phone state and identity: advertisements networks require this permission, we don't use it ourselves.

There is always the payed version for people who don't feel comfortable with the Phone state permission.

United States Constitution (v. 1.1.17)

This application is for all you constitution geeks. I wanted something that was easier to navigate then other applications I've seen, had a real table of contents broken down by articles, sections and amendments, didn't treat the first ten amendments like one giant inseparable document, was searchable, and contained other related documents, ideas, and trivia like the Declaration of Independence, Gettysburg Address, The Virginia Plan, The Great Compromise, ratification dates, and anything else I could think of that floats in that new Constellation of Liberty the Framers were shooting for two centuries ago.

Please note that I did not write this, but gathered the text, notes, and annotations from a variety of sources, but mostly www.usconstitution.net
(see below). I wanted a handy, self-contained reference to the Constitution.

Navigation thru sections of the constitution or articles of confederation is done using the D-pad or track ball of your device if equipped, or by swiping your finger left or right across the screen.

Pressing the select text menu will temporarily disable gestures (finger swipes). The text selection process is is built into Android -- learn it and you have learned how to use it in this app. Once text is copied onto the clipboard, gestures will not be restored until you share the clipboard contents to email, or Twitter, whatever. Gestures are also restored by returning to the top level menu.

- The U.S. Constitution has not been updated since 1992. Any updates made to the app are to improve the functionality of the app, add features, or to remove bugs.

- The app contains a few hyperlinks to some source or reference material on the web, so it will ask for internet access in the permission when you install.

- If you find a bug (and you want it fixed) email the developer using the link on this page, don't just leave a comment (Android secret: Developers do not read their comments).

<b>Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia</b> (also known as <b>KBBI</b>), The Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language is the official dictionary of the Indonesian language. Produced by the Language Center of the Indonesian Department of Education, it is considered canonical as a measure of which words have been formally incorporated into Indonesian.

The dictionary was first published in 1988, and launched at the Congress on the Indonesian Language. The first edition contained 62,000 entries, the second in 1991 had 72,000, and the third in 2000 had 78,000. The current, fourth edition was released in 2008 and contains 90,000 entries. The language contained within is formal, rather than the informal language used in common conversation, and it omits words that are considered slang or foreign. The authors note:

"the compilation of a dictionary constitutes an effort of language codification which becomes part of standardization of a language."

The dictionary has been criticised for being too selective, and excluding words that are in common use. Continual work is done towards future versions, to ensure the dictionary remains relevant to changes in the Indonesian language, and the authors are open to criticism and advice on how the work might accurately reflect Indonesian. Writing in the Jakarta Post, Setiono Sugiharto states that "KBBI should be appreciated as a byproduct of work by Indonesian scholars who persistently show their commitment to the development of the Indonesian lexicon"

This unofficial Android application allows you to search for the meaning of each word. It works while offline, you don't need Internet connection to view the entries and the definition. You can copy the meaning to the system clipboard to allow pasting to other applications. You can also share it to different applications like email (Gmail), Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and others.
