[2013-06-26] A Google User: Great price on a great book. Not a great app. Not sure why this needed to be released as an app instead of a book. Google Play Books and Kindle (and probably Nook and Kobo, although I've spent less time with them) are better reading apps. Most of the key options (day/night, text size, brightness) are present, but I often end up selecting text when I flip pages (which is pretty annoying) and my reading progress isn't synced between devices. The EPUB Export functioned in the sense that it created a file, but Google wouldn't take the upload and it fails EPUB validation with 9 errors and a warning. Those qualms aside, I got a book I've been wanting to read for ~75% less than it cost elsewhere. Would I buy it again if I had the decision to do over? Maybe. |
