[2013-01-11] A Google User: Florida???? After correcting the icon problems with other apps, this app remains is buggy as its icon shows as something other than what I expected (and paid for) - - something strange that says "Florida Nature". I like Florida, but not on my screen :-( Sad |

[2013-01-11] A Google User: Great update Devs seem to have finally. figured out the bugs in their field guide apps. Can't wait to use this one in my butterfly garden |

[2013-01-03] A Google User: Requires onlne account now Paid for this. Latest update requires online account. Cannot access without online account. I don't want an account. I downloaded the update. Left the house and found that I couldn't access the app. |

[2012-08-22] A Google User: Cannot load app I have purchased this app and Play Store shows that. When I install the app wont start as I am told it is not licensed and I need to purchase it. Help desk suggest I uninstall then reinstall- tried this on numerous occasions with same end result. Short of removing google account from my phone and starting again (this means factory settings and losing all data) I have no idea what to try next. btw I'm not prepared to reset my phone for this. |

[2012-07-24] A Google User: Problems downloading content Downloading content required several tries and uninstalling/reinstalling the program between attempts. Customer service refuses to provide an alternate means to acquire the zip file with offline content. |

[2012-07-18] A Google User: Like Unlike some who have commented, I like these programs. Work fine on my android phone. Finally a way to look up by sorting by shape, color, etc and get info about, map locations . Books do not allow. All the features represented here. |

[2012-07-05] A Google User: Good value for the money While I do think the search capabilities could be improved (I am finding it very difficult to ID a butterfly I saw yesterday) I also am finding it overall worth the 99 cents I paid for it. The photographs are excellent. |
|
[2012-06-30] A Google User: Poor design for tablets While the app has a lot of information it is hard to find what you are looking for. The small pictures displayed after a search are near impossible to see. It would be nice if they put 4 pictures on a page and let you scroll though the pages of matches. It is near impossible to get a refund as well. With the time it takes to download 200+meg for the database you are out of time to get a refund. Fortunately I only wasted .99 for it. |

[2012-04-30] A Google User: A work in progress? Compared to Audubon Birds, this app seems unfinished. There are some good photos and descriptions, but it's most noteable for what it doesn't do. I can live without range maps, but why can't it filter species based on your location (without doing an advanced search)? Why is there no "similar species" information? Not even in the text description! The high quality photos are zoomable, but why in an app designed for touch screen devices are we forced to tap those annoying + and - buttons? The advanced search looks helpful, but in testing I haven't found a way to make Eastern Comma and Question Mark appear in the same search result, so I doubt its effectiveness. The scrolling function is very good. Too bad you have to make so much use of it. This app is better for someone who already knows their butterflies reasonably well. There's lots of content, but a lack of functionality to make it useful. A beginner should stick with a traditional field guide for now. |

[2011-08-16] A Google User: Not Worth the Money If you have and like iBird, you'll be disappointed by this app. It lacks functionality, and search features could be greatly improved. |

[2011-07-19] A Google User: Love the app for what it is. Kind of disapointed in the LACK of species. I had a Regal Moth show up at work today and ended up having to google it... |
|
[2011-07-18] A Google User: Love it! Now i wont be caught without my book. |
|
[2011-05-29] A Google User: I was a State Naturalist for15 years & used to carry 3 or more guides. These ID guides are better than the printed books. Works on Continuum. |

[2011-04-02] A Google User: Nothing to compare it to... ...since it's the only butterfly ID app I could find :) Well worth the $5 sale price; too bad I got it the day before for $10 :( I have iBird and am used to having range maps, but advanced search with zip code may help enough--otherwise need to depend on descriptions for location. I'm glad to have this app; I think I'll start my official life list finally. I still hope they keep improving. |

[2010-10-11] A Google User: Good, but it takes too much space. It would be great if it could be moved to the sd card. |
