Does exactly what I need. To me this is by far the best Bible app for android. Other people will recommend other very popular apps and when I try them and see how sluggish they are and how I have to connect and login even to use downloaded texts, I go back to AndBible. The developers are consistently working on making it better. To put it simply, more people need to use this.

Doesn't work on asus memo 7" Jellybean 4.1 This bible reader is five stars on Samsung galaxy s3 and Kindle fire but on the Asus, it only lets me download one document and select one language. Please fix this!

Excellent Please add popup page to the links instead of allowing the whole page to cover the links in topical bible or commentary. Eg. olive bible study. While steel viewing the links the popup page helps to read the link without having to go back to the link with back button.

Truly amazing! The UI could stand a complete overhaul. But the real strength comes into the variety of commentaries that are available in this app for free. I can't think of any other app that I would recommend to a bible student. A plus all the way.

great app This app is excellent. It loads very quickly (even when setting CPU speed to 192 MHz). Pages load faster and scroll smoother than any other Bible app I've used. Uses the system TTS, which means it works fully offline. Most of the resources from CrossWire are available within the app. There are lots of customization options, split screen options, notes etc. Best of all, the app is open source, so you can tweak it further if you want/need to.

And all this as a gift. Wow it supports dual screen multiview! The only complaint I have about this is the convoluted search. It's terribly detailed which is great. But when you say are in Psalms and want to look at another chapter, you have to start over with book and do the entire search process over. Excited! The UI could use a little work but it's fine. I'm just so excited to have all the sword modules I've accumulated over time on my Android! Edit: I've come to need a Greek New Testament and found that its a little more complicated than other apps to add in the extra fonts. It seems my device already had the font properties file but lacked the actual font. I had to download the font from the internet and then move it to the font folder of this app's data.

Nice but quirky UI Probably my favorite bible app overall, for the nice clean look and all the features I want except an RSV or NRSV translation (though I realize that might be too much to ask for). But some things about it are a little maddening, like how EXTREMELY finicky the swipe left/right to switch chapters is. Also it sure would be nice if it would show you the notes for the verse where you long-pressed instead of the first verse on the screen. I'm used to how that works by now but it still strikes me as a dumb design.

Brilliant I thank God for this app. It has almost replaced my hard copy Bible. The only request I'd make to the developer is to include NIV in the list of Bibles. Keep on good n faithful servant. I have observed that when you have finished reading a page and want to exit, if you use the back button to exit the app it takes you to the previous page read. Can you please fix this , , developer? Thanks.
