WHS Phone for Android Trial (v. 1.3.3 Tria)

WHS Phone allows users to monitor their Windows Home Server from anywhere they have a data connection!

This app requires a Home Server Add-in (v1.3) available from http://www.whsphone.com and is currently only available to users of Windows Home Server v1.  There is no support for WHS 2011 (Vail) yet.

You can modify user and share permissions on the go, monitor network health, and check server storage use in seconds!

You can also browse all of your shared files and folders on the go, view and download your photos, and also stream music directly from your server.

This Free Trial version does not allow you to change permissions or suppress network notifications.  It also only returns the first 10 items in any directory.  The full version is now available in the Android Market!

Max 10 folders! :( I have >10 clients You can only view first 10 folders on your server! BAD. I have 160+ client folders and increasing so I cannot view anyone but 10. I emailed maker 2X for help but NO support. NOT GOOD BUSINESS.

DEAD PRODUCT This is a great app for Whs version 1. It is intended for way more than just streaming media. If you have whs 2011 (I upgraded), your out of luck. It seems that the product is dead. Developer will not respond on forum or to emails.

go WHS I just installed this app as I have the WHS V1 still. Installed on Galaxy Nexus and it worked beautifully. I assume the full version will show all folders as I have many more than 10. To bad it cannot stream native ISO or MKV format, that would save me from having to rip into MP4 format. Any chance of adding in support for MKV?

Vail Support Only a very subtle disclaimer about not working with WHS 2011. Fought this for an hour before fully reading the Overview. I guess that is my fault. Whoops. Really want to see this for WHS 2011 (Vail). Once available will totally buy.

Horrible UI! The UI is horrible and sluggish I didnt even figure out there were multiple "sites" that you can access trough swiping the screen - until I saw the video. THIS IS NOT INTUITIVE! You cant use WP7-UI-Paradigmas on Android - thats just bad design/no design!!! but what needs to be fixed the most is: -the swping-speed trough the screens. -use different colors - it just looks cheap. -use tabs instead. -or at least make all these screens available in the menu. thanks

You must install the add in on the server and give permissions. Free version does what it is supposed to do. They say there is more to come.I hope so!
