Users that register with the uAccess service can connect to uAccess access points, share their personal access point with friends and family, and use the "Find My Phone" feature. We do not charge for the application or uAccess services, everything is free. Guest users can still take advantage of several uAccess features and optionally decide to become a registered user later.

uAccess beta can be installed and executed on any Android device, including tablet devices.  Extensive testing has been performed on Android O/S version 2.1 and higher.

IMPORTANT: uAccess will not run on rooted phones.

Permissions needed by uAccess:

• Your Location - We use your current location to help find nearby available access points.
• Network communication - We send access point information requests to the uAccess service and we check for Internet connectivity.
• Phone calls - We display the carrier name for cell network connections, we do NOT monitor your phone calls.
• Storage - We remember access point information to perform faster subsequent connections.

TIPS:

• By default, the "Screen Off Policy" preference is enabled to help lower battery consumption. If you want uAccess to connect to APs as fast as possible (with minimal delay), disable the "Screen Off Policy" preference.

• If uAccess is in travel mode but you wish to connect to an AP right away, you can stop the service and then start the service to force an exit from travel mode.

• If you're taking a long road trip (longer than a couple of hours) and don't expect to have WiFi access while driving, stop the uAccess service or enable the Screen Off policy under preferences (enabled by default) to conserve your battery.

• You can add newly discovered OPEN access points to uAccess, to help us expand the uAccess database. After you connect to an Access Point that uAccess does not know about, press the "SHARE APs" button on the main screen to send the Access Point data to uAccess; and earn achievements.

KNOWN ISSUE:
On some devices, you may notice that after stopping and then starting the service, a force close message is displayed even though the application and service are still working properly. In this case, the force close can be ignored. We will fix it in a future release.

AUIBTmenu is an application made for the students and the staff at AU-IBT (Institute of Business and Technology Aarhus University). The application presents the menu of the week in the canteen and enables you to get a notification at 11:00am the day the dish is served.
AUIBTmenu automatically changes the language between English and Danish depending on the installed system language.

You’ll be able to see what’s served in the canteen, so you know which days not to bring lunch c¨,) When choosing a dish you set a reminder at 11:00am the corresponding day.

AUIBTmenu features custom made notifications with custom background graphics and text. AUIBTmenu also features custom alerts with custom sound.
Supported languages are UK and DK.

AUIBTmenu is developed and tested on a HTC Desire HD Android 2.2 Phone. Should you experience weird stuff, please contact me!

This application will format all of your phone numbers in your Google account based on your desired format.  The application will also fix invalid birthdays.

Quick Start
1. How to use it (for new users)?
It is pretty simple. Open this tool if you have text on your clip board it will read it.

2. How to read files?
Click the folder icon on the home page, a list of files that can be read will be displayed.

3. How do I stop the warning announcement when there is no text on the clip board?
Select preferences from the menu and check box the stop warning.

4. How do I stop the reading of text on my clipboard?
Select preferences from the menu and check box the stop clipboard reading.

5. How do I play my text in the text box provided?
Click the Speaker with the play button that is on the screen.

6. How do I play again what is on the clip board?
Make sure there is no text in the text box when the application is open and click the Speaker with the play button.

FAQ

1. My file that I want to read is not showing?

Please make sure the file is of type .txt,pdf,html,htm and that it is in a directory you have access to.

If you want a specific file type please contact me. I will see what I can do.

2. The web page I typed in has a lot of extra text that is being read?
Unfortunately I can not control developers of websites and how they decide to display there html. I am reading from the html body and removing all css and javascript but many times menus and other display items are in the beginning of the html page :-(
