Random Reminder (v. 6.0)

The default alarm in our Android smart-phone provides us a way to schedule alarm at exact date/time. However there will be some time when what we want is a "evenly spaced out random alarm over a relatively long time span" instead. This app is to provide this feature.

For configure, set Start Time, End Time, Number of random times to occur, repeating, ringtone for the alarm.

Important points to note:
- Set screen timeout to be longer so the ringtone can play longer to get your attention.
- Disable any screen lock because it may prevent the app from waking the smart-phone up to play the ringtone.
- With 15 minutes to test the app, try not to input a high number for random times. This is to prevent overwhelming the AlarmManager in double-quick succession and also allow the ringtone resources to be released in time for the next scheduled alarm.
- Lastly if you find not enough time to test, you can get it first and if not satisfied, drop me an email and I will do a full refund.

The application support English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese display.

Attachments and inline images are not currently supported but will be added in upcoming versions. It also cannot open .eml attachments from the Gmail application.

This eml reader will allow you to view .eml email files on your Android device.

When Android devices forward email messages from corporate exchange accounts, the message is attached as a .eml file.  Android has no native support for opening this type of file and so the forwarded emails cannot be read.

This app works both when opening the attachment directly in the native email app or launching the .eml file from a file explorer.

GeoTask is a location based task management App for Android. Each task is associated with a geographical location, and the user is sent a reminder/notification when he's within range of tasks location. GeoTask is highly integrated with Google Calendar - all tasks are created on an existing calendar in Google Calendar, and can be viewed online from anywhere. In addition, any tasks that are created on Google Calendar will show up in GeoTask, and you can attach a 'location' to it to get notifications by geographic location.

1) Google Calendar Integration
- All tasks are stored in an existing Google Calendar associated with your Google Account.
- When creating a new task, you are prompted to choose which calendar you want to create the task (Google Calendar event) on.
- Additionally tasks created in Google Calendar (created from anywhere online) will appear in GeoTask.

2) Map Centric UI:
- The main view is a map that shows all your tasks at different locations.
- All funcitons can be accessed directly from the map.

---Trial Version:
We have made certain constraints for the trial, but not affect you experience all the major function we provide in GeoTask. Here are the constraints for the Trial version:
1) For the locations, there are only FIVE locations to add. In case you need add more, you have to delete one before the creation.

2) The locations don't have the category setting. All of them will go the default category "Generic" after the creation.

3) For each task, only ONE location can be attached.

4) The navigation function is DISABLED in the trial version.

** The trial version will go for a week, to do the beta test and receive the user feedback. The OFFICIAL version will be on the air after ONE week.

Habit Judo can probably help.

Habit Judo makes forming healthy and productive new habits ADDICTIVE through the power of variable ratio reinforcement schedules.  It turns your natural impulses in your favor to help you improve your life.
How does Habit Judo work?

Pick 3 new simple daily habits, one of which must be 'Record your habits'
Get a RANDOM NUMBER BETWEEN(1,10) points each day for each successful habit
Add each day's points to a running point total
At point totals that occur about every 3 days, get a small reward
At point totals that occur about every 10-12 days, you 'level up'
When you level up, you get to add a new habit

Habit Judo begins with 3 easy daily habits.  They should be little things that you should be doing but aren't, e.g. cleaning kitty litter, flossing, drinking 8 glasses of water, etc.  Start easy, so that you build positive momentum for later. You start by keeping track of whether you complete each habit each day. This daily tracking is really important, it's essential to triggering the positive feedback loop that makes the system so powerful.  In fact, it's so important that "Record your habits" should always be one of your first three habits (the other two you can choose yourself).

Each day, for each successful habit, you earn a RANDOM number of points between 1 and 10.  You can roll at 10-sided die, or use the random number generator built into the sample spreadsheet linked below. This randomness is what produces the variable in the variable ratio. Your points accumulate each day.  At certain point thresholds that occur about every 3 days, you get a small self-determined reward (something less than $10).  At point thresholds that occur about every 10-12 days, you ‘level up.’  Every time you level up, you get to add a new habit.  Habit Judo uses the judo belt system to represent levels.  You start as a white belt, and move through the colors yellow, orange, green, blue, and brown on your way up to black belt.  To keep your habits present-in-mind, you should symbolize your belt level by something on your person.  One easy method is wearing a silicone wristband (think LiveStrong bracelet) of your current belt color.

Why does Habit Judo work?

Psychologists and trainers have for years known of the power of operant conditioning in changing behavior.  Positive reinforcement is a method of operant conditioning that provides positive consequences (rewards) to increase the rate or probability of a behavior. Kid solves a puzzle, kid gets a cookie.

There are different schedules of reinforcement (Kid gets a cookie after each puzzle, after each 5 puzzles, etc.) but the most powerful and addictive type is called a variable ratio schedule. It has both the highest rate of responding and the greatest resistance to extinction. With a variable ratio schedule of positive reinforcement, the number of responses necessary to produce the reward varies from trial to trial (Kid doesn't know how many puzzles he needs to solve to get a cookie, but it could be the NEXT ONE!).  Variable ratio schedules are what accounts for the ongoing popularity of slot machines (the next one could be a winner!) and lottery tickets (ditto).  

Habit Judo pairs variable reward ratios with a leveling system that provides tangible sense of accomplishment, something that has proved very compelling to legions of Farmville and World of Warcraft addicts.  This is an example of gamification, which has been shown to increase participation in activities by taking advantage of human's psychological disposition to engage in games.
