[2013-08-13] A Google User: MBP 10.7 5 HTC One 4.1.2 (MacSnowLeopard-Samsung Infuse (Android 2.2)) Have used for almost a year now. Increasingly frustrated. Very buggy and _NO_ support. Update MBP 10.7.5 HTC One: Fliq Notes will not sync with my computer via Mark/Space, asks me to set up a Fliq Cloud Premium Account: WHAT? Could not be more disappointed. Avoid. |
[2013-08-02] A Google User: The contact syncing part of the App is worthless. When I have attempted to sync my smartphone contacts with my notebook contacts, I end up with multiple entries for each contact. You must then go into both devices and clear each and every spurious contact. Therefore, only the calendar and tasks sync are any value. The program writer has been no help. |
[2013-08-01] A Google User: It works I am a mac user the only way to sync my phone and computer is with this program I love it |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Needs work on setup etc Good idea, ok execution. Stopped bluetooth sync and can't re-find device, wifi sync awfully slow. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Glad to have it but mac software crude Pretty much does the job. Enabled me to move android contacts and cals off of google servers to keep them private. Enables me to sync android to mac. Software on Mac desktop is funky though. For example it lists calendars available to sync that actually do not exist in mac's Calendar app. Sync reliability: 4 stars. Mac sync software 2 stars. |
[2013-07-03] A Google User: Doesn't work properly on HTC devices I purchased the app 2 years ago for my HTC Desire and it didn't work, neither on my Mac nor on my PC (I got both versions). Now I tried it again with my HTC T329, hoping that the bugs would be fixed meanwhile, and it still doesn't work. For syncing with MS Outlook, I recommend Companionlink (DejaOffice). |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: FRAUD ALERT NOTHING DOWNLOADS, NO TECH SUPPORT, EMAIL,OR PHONE, SILENCE AFTER PURCHASE, NOTIFIED AMEX TO STOP PAYMENT AND REPORTED FRAUD |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: What a life saver! My life's blood! This toolset, along with Evernote, let's me stay in sync with the world. |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: Garbage. Fails to sync w/ cryptic errors. Creates duplicate entries. requires installing non-standard apps. The Blackberry version was tolerable. Tbe Android version is useless. Useless customer support. |
[2013-06-01] A Google User: Still only works one-way Can't be used to restore backed-up messages or call log to the phone. So really about as much use as a chocolate teapot. |
[2013-05-18] A Google User: Doesn't allow ext sd card storage Badly designed app. After selecting sd card to store media the app creates a folder withing the (internal) sdcard0 folder called ext_sdcard, this does not mean it's saving in the external card. Doesn't have the option to choose your custom location to correct this. Very very poor especially as the desktop app costs so much. |
[2013-05-11] A Google User: No x64 support for outlook :l Bought this because it sounded perfect for my business phone, but after buying found it has no x64 support. Told to try beta but that has made triplicates of my contacts and deleted all my emails today. Absolutely fuming! Lost loads of essential emails, will never know unless customers send them again :l Also found out after that it also deleted my 2nd outlook calendar that had all customer info in it :/ |
[2013-05-07] A Google User: Nice sync Works great when I get near my desktop. |
[2013-04-29] A Google User: Am I doing something wrong I have attempted to sync my galaxy note 2 several times to my Macintosh. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I emailed their support but have yet to get a reply. I am a senior and wonder if this technology is above my comprehension. |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER !! Do not purchase, company is a Joke. Would NOT return any, (8) phone calls or any, (10) emails to help resolve issues from day #1.. So I leave you with that, and fact, I'm as compatible as they,"Claimed", for $29.99, as I am operating a 2013 handheld Droid to a 2013 Windows 8 Notebook, Pplleeaassee, read it, googled it done and done, uninstall it, but not over it though!! Let the buyer beware!!! |
[2013-04-15] A Google User: Corrupts your data! I wish there was an altertnative program for syncing with Outlook 2003! PLEASE FIX THE BUGS! |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: Latest update won't allow note and task to sync! Please fix! Now I'm unable to sync my notes and tasks |
[2013-03-28] A Google User: Has become irrelevant Once upon a time, this was the de facto method of syncing a Mac to a non-iOS smartphone. However, the quirks are becoming increasingly annoying and impractical: the need for separate contacts; calendar sync broken; unreliability in general. I still keep it for SMS and call logs (and only because I shelled out a fair few pounds for the Mac app), otherwise I use Google. No longer worth the bother. |
[2013-03-27] A Google User: Missing Android break |
[2013-03-21] A Google User: Missing Sync Very good product that fills a need for people that want to share info between a computer and phone. |
[2013-03-20] A Google User: been wasting too much I'm trying to make this work with my razrr can't make it sync calendars or tasks which is why I purchased it. Going to see if I can get my money back |
[2013-03-14] A Google User: Missing I love the easy photo upload! |
[2013-03-12] A Google User: Not great Too msny error messages and won't sync to two different wifi networks without chsnging all settings. |
[2013-03-11] A Google User: Stupid license I'm not paying $30 for something media player does natively. |
[2013-03-11] A Google User: Won't work Won't sync with my MacBook iCal with multiple calendars. Don't know where to get real help. |
[2013-02-27] A Google User: Dreadful customer service and contact I have raised 2 cases and many emails for the last 5 days and apart from an automated reply there has been no response. Very poor and I would not spend money with them again. |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: Waste of Money I purchased the missing sync in November 2011 and I have NEVER been able to get it to work. Their tech support is useless and after trying every conceivable fix and hoping it will work after every update, I am now officially giving up. If your PC is remotely up to date (W7/8 x64, Outlook 2010/2013) save yourself 40 bucks and many hours of frustration by giving this one a skip. |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: No return email to issue raised This is causing me issues again. Failures with contacts and not doing what it's supposed to with photos. S3 and mac. Works average Update - not working at all. |
[2013-02-24] A Google User: Doesn't work very well at all I have sync several times most times it doesn't work. I have used blue tooth and wifi neither one works any more |
[2013-02-15] A Google User: Doesn't Work with my MacBook Air My Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) loaded with Gingerbread does not synch with my MacBook Air (OS X 10.8.2) through either my Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. A waste of money for me. |
[2013-02-14] A Google User: Not bad but not outstanding either This app does most of what I need it to do. It syncs my calendar, notes and contacts but it does it slowly and with errors. It creates numerous duplicate events in my outlook calendar and duplicates in my outlook contacts. It never completes a synch without generating an error message. I have tried to change the settings repeatedly to avoid these problems, but they still persist. |
[2013-02-14] A Google User: Kind of work a bit... |
[2013-02-10] A Google User: Missing Sync for Android What is missing is the app! I have never gotten this app to work! I evaluate smart phone s for a living and I can't find support information that has made a difference. The app flat out does not work. |
[2013-02-06] A Google User: great little app the latest version of this app is good. My only complaint is that I am not able to search contacts in my contact app on my android phone. |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Doesn't connect via BlueTooth I can't connect thru USpc name, the BT connection was still a failure and no sync B nor thru WiFi for specific reasons, so I was looking for a sync app via BT. Even after selecting the PC - still no good. I don't know who authorized to release such an app. Already uninstalled. |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Ang Nice to have. |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Missing Sync for Android App works great except for contacts. I get many duplicate entries and multiple middle initials for my contacts. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Somewhat satisfied It took a while to find setup options. Still have problems with some contacts duplicating whenever I sync. I end up with 5 or 10 copies if some entries. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Ripoff This app was listed as free, but you pay a lot for the pc side software. Not free at all. Caveat emptor... |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Missing Sync Excellent functionality, helps Me keep all my activities managed. |
[2012-12-27] A Google User: Unreliable I've had so many problems with this, I'm trying to find other solutions. |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: The Missing Sync For Android I like the App. It is easy to use and has good functionality. I have had some loss of data when syncing Notes between my Acer A100 Tablet (Android ICS) and outlook on my Windows 7 laptop. Sometimes some notes or changes to some Notes don't get from Outlook to my device. Have had the same with my Motorola Droid4 phone (ICS). Fix that and I will rate it a 5. |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Frustrated and Disappointed I give up on this app. After installing all their partner 3rd party apps that MS claims you need to get anything syncd it manages to sync some of the data about 30% of the time. Constant errors. The desktop app and mobile app can't ever seem to find each other... even while they are syncing! Each time I plug in my phone the desktop all takes 5-15 min to search for the media files, even when the thing was sync'd 5 min before!!!! (It can't just store the media location?) If I leave the Android app open it spits out a constant stream of error messages, even after semi-successfully syncing. REALLY annoying. When it did sync my music, all playlists were dumped into a single Android directory. Why ask for playlists then, if you won't preserve the folder structure? One folder per playlist, then any player can read them. This was supposed to make my data syncing painless? I used to really like the missing sync for my old Palm, but this is really horrible. I've gone back to google cal and contacts that automatically sync, and direct file transfers of any docs, music, or videos I want on the phone. *** RAZR Maxx, Imac, Droid 4.0.1. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Works with my GS3 I've looked for a way to sync my Samsung GS3 to my iMac running Lion. This app has worked well for me via Wifi. I would also recommend "Airdroid" too its a free app. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Waste of money I use an android phone and a macbook pro. I have been looking for a way to sync the two with no luck. I have tried several apps that claim to the job but non work. This one cost the most and it was a waste of money. The other frustration is they do not offer any tech support. Don't waste your money |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Doesn't work with Motorola Razr I Won't use USB to sync and WiFi is unreliable and prone to errors and file corruption. It also hasn't any options to sync photos from photo apps other than the default camera. |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Missing Sync keeps crashing on ICS Worked for 2 syncs and then the app starts to fail again. On on Mountain Lion I never got the app to sync with the mac anymore. Please fix. |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Works well It does work but at times it is very picky about connection. Getting the desktop not found error is a daily problem. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Not worth it Worked well until the updates. Now when I sync it deletes it or doubles the entry |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Missing sync works Missing sync has not let me down. |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Very good support Missing Sync didn't work at first, but that was not the app., but my mac. Their support sorted it. If it doesn't work straight away, be patient and ask them for help. Well worth down loading. |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Syncs what I need it to well I use SmoothSync for iCloud to sync everything except music (including playlists), ringtones, backup SMS and call logs. Missing Sync works great for those. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Poor install, limited compatibility Did not find Outlook2003 in custom location. Uses proprietary applets. Will not connect Exchange. And the killer for me - requires I be logged onto desktop as an administrator! That just invites malware attacks. Only be an admin when admin'ing, otherwise be a user when using. |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Worst app every! Really should get five negative stars! Haven't been able to use this app for months and no help from the creator! |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Great app This is wonderful tool. |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Missing Sync Good app does what it says. Provided a calendar to my rooted NookTable that syncs with Microsoft Outlook. At 40 dollars a little expensive |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Doesn't work : don't download Straight-up doesn't work. My setup couldn't be more straight-forward - Macbookpro, Galaxy S Plus, I only want to sync the music: I cannot even do this, the most basic task. It simply does not work. It wifi connects, then after five minutes it just cancels, no indication as to why, no hint as to what to do. Not fit for purpose, just look at the ratings. Of 2000 odd ratings, 1 in every 3 people who has rated it has said it just doesn't work properly. 1 in 3. Would you buy a car that one in three people not only don't like but say it actually doesn't work? No you wouldn't. So don't download this garbage. |
[2012-11-11] A Google User: Works ok It has a problem with pictures where it keeps copying them over and over again so you have lots of copies in your backup folder. It also does the same with addresses. |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Does not work on Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or 10.1 Will not recognize any connections between android device and Mac. I have tried USB cable, Bluetooth, and wireless. This was a waste of my money |
[2012-11-08] A Google User: Terrific So easy to sync my data to my computer. |
[2012-11-07] A Google User: Adc831 Like it |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: Trying to use this had been so much work with nothing to show for it. Trying to sync ical with my galaxy s has been at best worthless. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Disappointed. This app seems to worsen as it so-called develops. The last two versions I bought for my phones just wouldn't sync my contacts. It DID sync my calendar. It was always a little confusing to set up. I hope the developers get it together. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: What a mistake! I couldn't make it sync at first, no visible sign of customer service working on the ticket I bothered to create with the log file... I will ask for my money back. |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: Brock Easy to download and instal. Instructions clear and worked "right out of the box" |
[2012-10-28] A Google User: Bryan |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: A great concept but... I am running it on an Atrix 4G and purchased it for WiFi syncing only my photos to my desktop. It claims it searches your device for photos then copies them to you desktop. It does not in fact search your whole device, but copies only photos from the DCIM/Camera directory. It also can be configured to Sync automatically on a settable time schedule. In fact is does not copy in Standby mode or unlocked mode. I syncs only if you start the app on the phone. It could be great but tech support leaves a lot to be desired. If you have a problem, consider yourself on your own. Too bad... it could be excellent with a bit of polishing. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Big disappointment Does not SYNC with Outlook calendar, it adds a second calendar... ONE MORE calendar to keep tack of. Then when i tried to correct this , MissingSync erased my entire calendar forcing my business to HALT. When I urgently asked for help, company took 3 days to begin to respond. Subsequent responses took weeks and still no resolution. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME. |

[2012-10-14] A Google User: ERRORS-POPPING UP-ANNOYING! This app very dated. Error msgs constantly popping up when not using app. SMS backup useless. Only exports messages. Can not bring back in. Don't waste $$$ plenty cheaper and free. |

[2012-10-12] A Google User: Used to great; now it's useless If you have a Mac, don't bother with this app. Several years ago I got the Missing Sync to sync between my Palm and my MacBook. And I loved it. So when I got an Android phone two years ago, I again bought the Missing Sync. And again I loved it. But since upgrading to Mountain Lion, there are what the folks at Mark/Space call "compatibility issues". The bottom line is that the Missing Sync and Mountain Lion do not play well together. If they ever fix these issues, I may learn to love it again. Until then, it is absolutely not worth the grief it causes me. |

[2012-10-09] A Google User: Most complete sync available The only thing that syncs all the essential productivity functions: calendar, contacts, notes, tasks. Also sync folders, music, photos, podcasts, etc. Local sync between your computer and phone, not a cloud service. Great customer support via email. Great help articles on their website. Their free apps work with the paid computer app. |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: PC version requires administrator account to run! Just why? In 2012? Do they really want to make me change my account type? (The Mac version works on a standard user account.) I used Missing Sync on my Mac for 1 1/2 years due to a lack of choice, but now that I switched to PC I use CompanionLink. When experiencing contacts deletions due to syncing, Mark/Space's tech support was extremely poor and kept asking the same standard questions without any interest in problem resolution. |
