NETGEAR ReadyNAS Remote (v. 1.2.2) Разработано NETGEAR |
ReadyNAS® Remote is designed for users who own a ReadyNAS network attached storage. This application lets you access any file you have stored on your ReadyNAS storage devices while you’re on the go. Now, you can store, share and protect your data from your mobile devices using Wi-Fi or 3G service.
Key Features of ReadyNAS Remote Application are:
- Access files stored on your ReadyNAS as you would natively on a local area network (LAN) connection without a PC or Mac
- Upload photos from your Android device directly to your ReadyNAS when you’re traveling, or Email photos stored on your ReadyNAS to loved ones using your mobile device
- Download music files to your mobile device anywhere using Wi-Fi or 3G connection directly from your ReadyNAS
- Modify files stored on one ReadyNAS and Upload them to the same or a secondary ReadyNAS

[2013-07-19] A Google User: Totally non-functional Can't even log in. |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: Lacking Doesn't support Nexus7. Connectivity drops off, wasting data plans. |
[2013-07-10] A Google User: Does not work with ReadyNas Duo (SPARC) |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: Useless Finds the readynas on my network but its the factory set name. Can't change to the name I have changed it to and won't list any of the shares. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Rubbish Does not work. |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: This is SH!T Yep, believe all the reviews. This is an epic fail of biblical proportions. Can't log in due to "incorrect credentials", though I can remote straight in using the same info in ES File Explorer. This app, along with the confirmed IE 10 incompatibility the ReadyNAS has, makes this a rather dud product. Expected way better from Netgear. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: REALLY BAD This never should have left the programming room. READYSHARE is NEVERSHARE..... Wish I could have left no star. Netgear Tech support is the worst ever also. They tell you you need third party support which costs you. Try POGOPLUG... Fantastic Device with Great Online access and a great app for the Android... |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Got 'cannot get list of share' |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: Useless Just remove this useless crap if we cant use it. Netgear's really crap, ever. |
[2013-06-15] A Google User: Security flaw On my Motorola Droid Maxx the app does not allow access to password protected shares. I have to enable anonymous access or not password protect a share. Company has been aware of issue for several months but has not resolved problem. |
[2013-06-11] A Google User: Can't see readynas Accidentally removed my ready as from my network when trying to change to ftp access and I can't find anyway to re add it. |
[2013-05-28] A Google User: Worked first go. |
[2013-05-05] A Google User: Promising but too many flaws Very slow and regularly drops the connection. Photo upload either generates "force close" or gets to 100% then says "upload failed". Use Dropbox instead as this app is useless |
[2013-04-23] A Google User: Worthless Finds my router, then spins around and says: connecting. Forever. |
[2013-03-31] A Google User: Terrible Crashes, unintuitive |
[2013-03-25] A Google User: Very poor App indeed Very flaky bit of Software, it will see my Readynas Duo v2 but crash when trying to open a directory. Installed on my Samsung Galaxy S2 running ICS. Installed / uninstalled 3 times but still not any good..Shame minimum rating is 1 star not ZERO |
[2013-03-08] A Google User: Cannot log in Nuff said |
[2013-03-04] A Google User: Does not work After successful login it does not show up the folder and gives an error. |
[2013-03-01] A Google User: Don't waste your time This SW is trash, unstable how do you post a ZERO;? |
[2013-02-22] A Google User: Poor App Won't even work trying to browse with cifs and crashes on directories with a number of files when using ftp. |
[2013-02-22] A Google User: Basic but it works Works for me. No problems connecting and viewing content off the nas. |
[2013-02-19] A Google User: Does not work. Crashes phone Will connect. Browsing folders locks the entire phone. Not even the power button responds. Have to force reboot. Also summoned a nether beast from the firey depths of Hades which appeared on my desk spilling a cup of Nesquick. 1 star, can't recommend |
[2013-02-14] A Google User: Good and works in a pinch I don't use it very much but when I do its there for what I have set it for. I should give it 5 but since it doesn't allow streaming of media and it could have some more customization on where the files go when you download I have to leave space ;). Keep it coming Netgear! |
[2013-02-14] A Google User: Hard to setup Lots of single stars and bad reviews claiming app doesn't work. It does, but setup is not intuitive. Took me about an hour, searching for setup guide that worked.. Netgear remote forum was the key for me. Works grest once installed. If it enabled streaming and set up easier, would be five stars. |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: So far it is rubbish. Can't connect, with either adm, or any of the other users that connect via the web interface without issue. Quite useless Uninstalling, delaying purchase of 2 More OF THESE NAS boxes if the developer offers no solution here. |
[2013-02-02] A Google User: Very poor I wish I could have given this app a half star rating. Does not work keeps crashing and shuting down. It gave me two chances for refund. I thought I might be doing something wring. When I figured out it was note a configuration issue it was to late for a refund. My rating is very poorly made product. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: Epic FAIL |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: Good |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Invalid credentials Don't work. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Perfect This works on mobile network, or wireless just fine... Everytime. Just make sure the shares you want to see are set for ftp access or you won't see much ;) |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Not available on Nexus 7 What to say- t least one of the Android lead devices (Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, ...) is not compatible? This app is compatible with some of your devices. ASUS TF300T (4.1.1 JRO03C...20121122) Galaxy Nexus (4.2.1) Asus Nexus 7 (4.2.1) <-> This item is not compatible with your device. |
[2013-01-13] A Google User: Works great Took a bit of tinkering but works great after a couple of tries |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Has potential Not very useful. Could be. Since my username on my server is different than my ReadyNAS Remote login, I cannot connect over CIFS. I'll go back to WebDAV and Dynamic DNS. When long pressing the server, the three choices are "Browse with CIFS [X]", "Browse with FTP [ ]", and "Leave Network". When Browse with FTP is selected, FTP login options are available. When Browse with CIFS is selected, no options are displayed. Leave Network just deletes the server from your device. There is supposed to be a CIFS fix, but the options aren't available for Android devices. It works for FTP. I know that ReadyNAS Remote encrypts the traffic, but I don't want unencrypted traffic over my network if FTP is used locally. |
[2012-12-20] A Google User: Useless Don't install. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Works perfect for me I know a lot of people are having issues but it works for me. Could have a better interface but I'm glad i can access to my readynas data. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Keeps saying credentials are wrong. Won't let me use it for 1 of the reasons I bought a NAS in the first pace. |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Piece of crap! Companies make marketing claims and technical blunders! Waste of time! Need a no star rating! |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: POS Nothing more needs to be said. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Very hard to download/istall I give this app a 2 star on documentation to get it running and a 5 star once you do get it working. Ready Nas tech writing department should all be fired immediately. A group of 10th graders could have done a better job. Alot of figuring out the download and settings is left up to the user. After 3hrs and 3 re-installs it works beautifully. Very pleased. Don't forget to restart P2P in the Frontview. That is what got this thing working for me and now it doesn't have any bugs or problems that I can detect. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Stopped working. No reason. Incredibly arcane |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Be nice if it worked It's a shame that a software/hardware co. can't create working apps for their own products. Hopefully they actually read these lousy reviews and make these apps actually functional. *promptly deleted* |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Hopeless Piece of junk |
[2012-11-11] A Google User: Not compatible with Nexus 7 tablet Cannot install on a (non rooted) Google/ASUS Nexus 7 tablet. This review is based on an HTC Rezound phone. The latest version now has an option for CIFS connection, however it does not work. The FTP connection still works, but I don't like adding FTP access to all my shares. Ability to delete old/misnamed NAS entries is finally available. Update - CIFS works if you add 'Guest Access" to your shares. What's the point of having user based shares if the only way to access files is to allow anonymous guest access? |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Nice idea I guess Wont work on either my tablet or phone. I know my login details are correct but it wont recognise it. I would consider this false advertising considering the amount of troubles everyone seems to be having. |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Good but could use some improvement Once you follow the setup instructions it works fine. I wish I could stream music and videos though. |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Worked without a glitch Would be nice to be able to stream media rather than downloading it. HTC Sensation, ICS 4.0.3 |
[2012-10-23] A Google User: Doesn't work Uninstalled |
[2012-10-14] A Google User: what are you wainting for ??? doesn't work ! like on ios !!! wake up ! I took a nas of your branch also for the mobile app !!! |
[2012-10-10] A Google User: Useless. NEVER connects. About the only thing this app does effectively is download and take up space on your device. After that, it's completely useless. I can see the shares but can never connect. Also, application crashes if there are "more than a few" files in a folder. Complete waste of time. Uninstalled. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Not good Can get into my Nas but the folder names are absent, in chinese or jumbled. Not useful |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: On a Galaxy note ftp works ok buts cif does not. |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Why this app is still here? Total crap!!! Not connecting to shares using FTP or CIFS. No stars for this app. |
[2012-09-22] A Google User: 1.2 defaults to CIFA Once this was switched back to ftp. Everything works fine. |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: ready nas ultra 6 access? Don't think so. Crappy app. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Marius Can't even get the list of shares... |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: Blank screen After login the application does not confirm logged in and simply provides a black screen under remote connection. Application does not work. |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: It works |
[2012-08-13] A Google User: Nice to have access realtime combined with the remote desktop this makes for a nice setup! |
[2012-08-02] A Google User: Poor Quality IMHO Downloaded this twice when became available. Lame compared to other apps, which are miles quicker and stable. Knowing what I know now, would not download and save £1.85. Best product so far used is ES File explorer . Hugely better, easier. Stream media to multiple tablets, smartphones silmultaneously, thumbnails for all pics, quick scrolling, quick copying to/from NAS , media player.LAN,FTP ETC. AND IT'S FREE, SO TRY FIRST |
[2012-07-13] A Google User: Terrible Less than 1 star! |
[2012-07-13] A Google User: Not good Quite frankly there are far better ftp clients out there. |
[2012-07-08] A Google User: Won't work with Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 I have had variable success on my Galaxy S2 but the app is "not compatible with your [Galaxy Tab 2 10.1] device". Have emailed Netgear but have yet to receive an answer. Come on, Netgear, get it sorted! (please :-)) |
[2012-06-30] A Google User: Needs Android Improvements Ok, to start, I installed this app many month ago. I have patiently waited for updates however I'm not one of those special apple people so... I'm not important. There have been no updates and the program is full of issues. 1) Every time I've logged on then come back to use it again later, the log in always fails. I have to go into my applications and force close it. Then I can go back and log in. This really bites. 2) Try uploading photos from your phone to your network... 3) you wanna upload a photo or any other item, you have to download it then open it. No quick view. Ok, maybe I can accept #3 as a nature of the system but the fact that you pull a document from the network, go open it find you want another one yet to get back to it you have to go force close the program and re-log in it terrible. The amount of frustration with logging and failed user issues keeps me from using it. |
[2012-06-21] A Google User: Bad Absolutely worthless trash. A bad FTP client, that should be free. Money grab. |
[2012-06-14] A Google User: Not compatible with ARCHOS 80G9 Very disappointed working on my HTC mobil with Android 2.3 but not on the Tablet running Android 4.0 |
[2012-06-04] A Google User: Ok Not bad, could be updated and a bit fine tuned. Good effort though |
[2012-05-31] A Google User: Didn't work Error couldn't connect ftp , ready nas is set up for ftp I can access from a mates house using there pc but not my HTC incredible s or my HTC EVO 3d |
[2012-05-12] A Google User: Doesn't work 221 Goodbye |
[2012-05-07] A Google User: Very disappointing First, it constantly just exits when I try to browse to a folder with a lot of files. I'm not sure what the threshold is, but some of my folders have hundreds of pictures, and browsing to them causes this app to exit. Also, it is disappointing that you don't get the option to open the remote file. It recognizes that a file is a picture or a video, but it doesn't allow me to open it in an app such as gallery (this app should be able to download to a tmp directory, open the file and then remove the temporary file). Instead, I have to download the file. I should have a choice. Even the Pogoplug app is better than this, and the Pogoplug is a lot less expensive than the ReadyNAS. For what is a glorified FTP client using a proxy, this should be a lot better. |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: Update Please UI is lacking and how about support for ReadyNAS Duo v2? |
[2012-03-08] A Google User: Doesn't seem to work Was unable to get readynas to show in app. App pretty bad. Set up is long and complicated. |
[2012-02-29] A Google User: Poor It always says 'file transfered successfully' but they NEVER do !! |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: Crashes a lot Directory has 600 subdirectories, browsing that folder will crash netgear application. |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Crab Useless!!! |
[2012-02-16] A Google User: I can see my NAS name but... Can not establish a remote connection :( |
[2012-02-15] A Google User: Permissions? Why on earth would this App need access to the camera? Other than that it does what's required and well, if very slow. |
[2012-02-07] A Google User: easy setup, please add more controls! took 10 mins to setup, good speed, just wish it can control readynas ultra frontview, and stream photo and musics. plz also add some instructions for newbies, too many neg feedback due to this....but still a great addon! way to go! |
[2012-01-25] A Google User: Remote broken Nas shows up Every time i try to logon i get 221 goodbye??? Am i missing something??? |

[2012-01-20] A Google User: Not for me Would like ability to connect to LAN ReadyNAS without having to use remote. Perhaps using SMB? |
[2012-01-17] A Google User: Doesn't work Was unable to get it working. |
[2012-01-09] A Google User: Difficult to set up This app is unpolished and too difficult to set up, especially for just a basic FTP client. Sub par. |
[2011-12-27] A Google User: Not too bad, basic FTP client Would be 5 stars if : better interface View photos withoiut havig to download everything Better tablet suppot, icons thumbnails etc Music, video streaming Good but needs improving |
[2011-12-13] A Google User: Buggy/unstable Works/connects sometimes. If/when connects it crashes as manuver directories or dl/upload files. |

[2011-10-31] A Google User: Nas remote yes it does work ! A little perseverence setting up the server, enable ftp access, download latest firmware, cross your fingers and youve got acces to all of your files! |
[2011-10-21] A Google User: Cannot connect Login is perfectly fine, but cannot ever connect to NAS. Love ths NAS, app is weak. |

[2011-09-06] A Google User: Great app now I can access my file anywhere in the world. For those who have problem with this. you should install the latest ReadyNAS remote v1.0.9.78 copy/add-on otherwise you will have problem connection |
[2011-09-04] A Google User: Not much functions, more is possible..... |
[2011-08-22] A Google User: This app is great you have to manually update the remote addon on the nas to get this to work. It works flawless. 5 stars. |
[2011-08-19] A Google User: Piece of JUNK!!!! Do not waste your money on Netgear NAS. I kept this app on so I can always remember how worthless netgear is and remember the $2.99 I spent. 0 Stars! |
[2011-08-13] A Google User: Ugh What the .... rubbish... don't waste you $ |
[2011-08-10] A Google User: Does not seem to work |
[2011-08-10] Mark: Does not seem to work |
[2011-07-08] Justin: Absolutely worthless trash. A bad FTP client, that should be free. |
