[2013-01-12] A Google User: Crash on my 7" tab.... fix it please.... Can't open this app on my 7" tab.... Please fix it.... |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Quick Response! Is there an EXIT button anywhere or must I back arrow out? |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Fantastic PIM, but missing some usability Try out Pocket Informant, if you're looking for a full-featured PIM that offers more than just checklists. PI has had a long life on other platforms, and the Android incarnation offers a single integrated and usable UI for managing contacts, calendars and tasks. However, the UI stinks for creating tasks and events, and the widget is junk. The only thing keeping me from using this all the time is that there is no Quick Add or Smart Add feature for creating new tasks, not even in the widget. I can live with the contacts view omitting Facebook & G+ activity streams, etc. PI Online syncs well (and syncs to Outlook with Fieldston's GSyncIt) but still needs work as a tool by itself. ToodleDo sync is great, and WebIS has their own cloud sync service now, too. It's not perfect (what!?!) but I haven't found anything quite as comprehensive for Android. For those unhappy with the widget, take a look at Pure Calendar, which is great. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Need task sync & fix event time shift Tasks do not have sync ability and event time changed when in different time zone |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Solid calendar task and contracts alternative. Missing lots of the bells and whistles of the cheaper competition (voice input, calender icons, better widgets, more sync options, skins or themes to name a few). If they build on this however they will reach 5 stars easily and be worth the price tag. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Great effort The best calendar app on the market. Excellent categorisation, alarms, custom repeats (better than native), day/week/agenda/month and much more. A few different types of each view too. Outstanding. Widgets need to be improved - like scrolling. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Fixed!!! Great app, great support. Very responsive. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: A great app, that keeps getting better |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Google task sync stopped! Was working very well. One of the better integrated PIMs BUT latest update has broken google task sync'ing - PLEASE FIX. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Continues to improve |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: What happened?? Since the last update, error occurs and can't even open app. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Can't open!!! Since last update can't open...please fix!!!! |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Disappointed Used PI for years with my Axim and with great anticipation installed it on my Droid Bionic. Sadly disappointed. Not even close to what I had been using. Haven't bothered with syncing with Outlook as it won't sync contacts (and has no plans to). PI giving max efforts to IOS and not much to Android and it shows. Have switched to DeJa and it does all I had hoped PI would including syncing contacts. Sorry PI, I think you've lost me. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Good but... Still unable to link a contact to an event, can't sync google tasks anymore. Needs improvement, hence the drop from 4 to 3 stars |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Getting better with each version Poor support, should have support button in app, they rarely respond and take forever if they do. Even though Android devices outnumber apple, they still insist on developing the apple products first then making android users wait 12 months. Still no notes or voice input. |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Bad Experience with Samsung note 10.1 I have never been able to use this application as it keeps on crashing on my note 10.1 my repeated complaints to the developer have not been attended to. It's not worth the price I paid. I am in agreement with the other users that the developer is no longer concerned about the complaints made. I would not recommend this to anyone. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Only 1 thing missing! If this app gave the option to choose your own sound 4 the alarm notification it would b perfect. The built n default sound is easy to ignore which i do often. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Replacing my Franklin covey I really love PI to replace my Franklin planner... only thing I'd like to have is ability to add more tabs to the right side.... one for notes, one for school specific items, just random things that aren't really tasks |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Nice on my tablet Nice clean PIM style interface. Perfect on my Acer Iconia A500. It syncs with Google Calendar Contacts, and Tasks. Had a problem where it wasn't updating tasks, but an email to support brought a quick reply and fixed the problem easily. |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Good and bad Great app, but after over a year of use on iOS and Android I'm sadly moving to something else - every PI update would erase my ToodleDo settings without warning, and forcing me to set up again, once I noticed it was no longer syncing, and sync from scratch. Such a shame. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Still at bottom Been following since first beta a year ago and still not many improvements. Go with Calengoo. It's got everything u need. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Everything in a planner I'm running an old school nook and had some conflicts early on but staff was excellent in putting in fixes. Excellent replacement for any recovering Franklin Planner users. Everything syncs great. Very customizable...buy it! !!!. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Best App Use everyday for all my needs. By far the best calendar and task management app |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Sync account lost with every update Every time the app is updated the sync account is lost. Very inconvenient. You have to re enter all again. No support for syncing goals with Toodledo. Used it on win ce it was awesome. Get better on Android. Apple is not the only cell phone maker. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Pocket Informant malfunctions I would give this app 0 stars if I could. Pocket Informant' repeatedly crashes on my LG Optimus and has deleted some of my information. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Hasn't worked since the last upgrade. Used to work but now it won't even open, even after a factory reset. |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Task sync is still a big problem! I dont know why it cant sync google tasks between two devices immediately. |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Shuts downs do much. I can't use it anymore Junk |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Can't live without this app Far easier to use than the version I had for my old windows phone but not nearly as customizable (hence 4 stars not 5) UPDATE: Features are improving all the time. The best thing about this app is the ease of creating and using event templates. I have a LOT of appointments with the same few people and it is a godsend to be able to tap a button or two and have all the basic info instantly appear... I only have to adjust the time and hit save. I love this app! Now giving it 5 stars! |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: The iPhone app is better I've been using this app on my iPhone for ages. Now that I got an android, I was really excited to buy this app for productivity, but sadly, the app is way different than its iPhone counter part. Especially the lack of the "getting things done" is the most pinching. I don't recommend the app if you're an android user, but definately do for iPhone users!!!!! |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Needs work on to-do list sync Syncing with Toodledo is painful at best , one that problem is fixed is a 5! Been using since BlackBerry days. |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Getting better I have used PI on WM devices for years. It is the best PIM I have found since the Psion organisers. This is a good start for Android. Needs scrolling widget. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Almost there... I would love a widget for my tasks as well. Let me show my most urgent tasks at a glance on a home screen. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Sync did not inreal time When I tried to sync Google task between two Android devices, it could not work inreal time. And some task is not sync to another device, like importance or folder. It’s really bad to purchased this kind App. The screen is beautiful, but functions are not work. I think simple is good. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Task sync problems Very good. Looking forward to continued improvements to put it on par w/ older WM versions. Well, while I'm still a big fan, this no longer syncs properly with Google Tasks at all! Would also like to see the return of icons some day! |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: cannot sync when I touch the button When I touch the button of sync, no any job did. I don't BH know why. No sync, what's the usage PI. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Incomplete |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Finally got a Widget Still needs improvement |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Essential app! One of the first few apps I downloaded when I swapped fr iPhone to Samsung. Still using it for iPad. Works great! Thanks! |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Nice, but... Task sync account (Toodledo) repeatedly removed on Galaxy Note II. |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Worked well on iPhone, Android not so much I loved this app on my iPhone. Now I have Android, and it crashes on me several times a day. PLEASE FIX. HTC one X on at&t. |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Time zone says Bogota Until the time zone problem is fixed 1 star. |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Tasks When are you going to fix this so you can filter on folders again?? At the very least support sporting on folders. |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Excellent Thanks for the hard work on PI |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: My most important app Pocket Informant is the first app I download for a new phone. The Android version isn't as flashy as the IOS version but I haven't had problems with it. And in my experience, the developer and his team is quite vigilant about bugs and are always improving the product. |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Much better Much better job with the new widget. Moved from 1 star to 3. Will try for 30 days to see if you get 5 stars. Edit: Not liking it much so far. Went back to Calengoo. |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Beta Worked Great Too many sync problems. Very flaky and unreliable, can't be trusted. I loved PI on Pocket PC but this is bad. Type in an event, and many time s it does not sync to Gcalendar |
[2012-11-06] A Google User: Pocket Informant Seems to crash quite often |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: Consistency across platforms I am using Pocket Informant with all of my devices : ipad, iphone, and Android. And I am satisfied with all of them. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Awsome app |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Best Appointment App Add Weekly 7 day layout as widget option please. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: PI Review The ICS version is a real improvement & works great on the Google Nexus Galaxy. I would like to be able to have contracts functionally integrated with the calendar & tasks |
[2012-10-27] A Google User: I love the app, HATE the widget! I love this app, but I need a calender system that has a great widget- the current one won't even fit on my phone... Much less show me any scheduled events. Do a complete overhaul on the widget and I will give the app the other 4 stars it deserves... If you need widget ideas, look at Jorte's widget. |
[2012-10-27] A Google User: Good app |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Best Organizer for Android. The addition of direct sync with Outlook has made this a 'must have' app for me on Android. No longer any need to trust a cloud provider with my data! And the UI is simply the best available. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Garbage Doesn't sync with google calendar. Want synching that will cost extra Have been a faithful user since windows ce aCalendar does everything AND syncs with Google calendar for free Don't buy |
[2012-10-21] A Google User: Drag and drop events in calendar would be usefull for my ever-changing schedule |
[2012-10-20] A Google User: Indispensable Used it since Day1 of its release. Allowing icons in events n task would be good. Miss this feature from Agendus in Palm platform. |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Works, but lot of space to improve This app works and covers what I expect to PIM, however overall performance is quite slow. Also needs more UI improvement, hope to have more sophisticated UI. Nice to have widget. Expecting these points will be covered in the future release. 3 stars for potential of this app. |
[2012-10-18] A Google User: Cooks my Nexus 7 Tried using this on my Nexus 7 and it fried my battery. Whenever I run it, it instantly starts to us up around 97% processor time. Not good, sorry can't use it. And support was non existent too... |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: DeRue This app is always evolving and getting better. Once you work with it a while you will be very satisfied with this outstanding tool. Would not use another calendar application! |
[2012-10-16] A Google User: Almost there! I recently heard from tech support that the next version will allow conversion of a task to an event--an important step in task completion that I believe was baked into the original Window PI. Will definitely release that last star then! |
[2012-10-15] A Google User: Tasks not Syncing in New Phone I love this app and have been using this app as one of the main app, however I upgraded to Android 4.2.2 in my new Samsung Galaxy Note II and I can not get the tasks in my google tasks to synchronise to Pocket Informant. I had to install another tasks app to synchronise the tasks. but I could not do it from PI. Unfortunately, the google sync does not seem to sync the tasks to the new Andorid version, and i can not see the tasks in PI anymore. |
[2012-10-12] A Google User: Good but widgets don't work They appear zoomed in too far and I can't read what they say |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Good, can be better. Pls improve alarm on notification bar. Alarm should be turn off after "Dismiss All" is pressed in PI. Furthermore notification is being "cleared". It shouldn't keep prompting for few more times. Kindly fix this! |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Utter tosh Complicated to use on HTC incredible S. |
[2012-10-06] A Google User: Google Task sync Syncing with google tasks still doesn't work properly. Very sporadic or not at all. Why can't webis get this fixed! Update: 4stars now since google task sync seems to be working and stable. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Best in Class Couldn't live without it. New awesomeness: RELIABLE syncing and integration of ToodleDo tasks, thanks to a custom sync account type that circumvents Google's dreadfully inadequate support for iCal. Well done, PI developers! |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Annual Events Well all seems to be working now. Syncing Outlook using Gsyncit to PI Online and syncing Android and iPad to PI Online and after an issue of syncing never ending annual events being addressed and corrected in future updates all seems to be running as it should. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: MUST HAVE APP I began using PI on my Windows Mobile phone years ago. When I switched to Android it was one of the first apps I looked for and acquired. Initially it did not have the features and polish of the Windows version but it still served my needs. Over the last year or so there has been a constant stream of improvements released and it is now back close to the Windows version and in some respects even better. Without this application I would have a difficult time managing my meeting schedule and tasks. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Disappointing. Now ex fan. Disappointing compared to win mobile version. As good as most android offerings, but development too slow in catching up with winmo (lack of macros on templates) or fixing deficiencies eg No tentative appt type. Sick of waiting for missing features. Have switched to Pimlical (not on play store). |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Best calendar task apparently! Using PI since it came out on pda's. Good job, glad you're on Android. Works great! |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Loving it now Just loving it now. A joy to use and looks great. |
[2012-10-02] A Google User: Need better Google tasks sync I like the UI of the app. However for 9.99 I would expect it to do a better job syncing with Google Tasks when compared to free apps like Tasks N Todo. Fix the sync issues and I will give a better rating. |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: categories not copied very good planner. been using for almost 2 years. but recent update caused some problems. when events are copied, categories are not copied. please rectify. loading of calendar in month view is slow. Thanks. |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Performance is good on dual core ICS. Rating = 2. On Droid X, opening the calendar can take more than 30 seconds. Scrolling the day view can take 10 seconds. Eventual display is much better than Google calendar, but when Pimical is available from Android market, I will try it. 2012-09-30 update: Rating = 4. On Droid 4, PI performance is very responsive. |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Ain't Syncing!!! Used this app for months. Used to be able to sync w/ Google Calendar & Tasks seamlessy. Now it doesn't, especially after the latest OTA update. Tried everything. Syncing is sporadic. Very disappointing. Have to look for a different one. |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: almost perfect On my new Sprint Galaxy S3, it won't keep the sync settings I set up under accounts / sync, PI Toodledo. Each time I reboot the phone the settings are removed and I have to set them up all over again. Is it because the phone is rooted with Cyanogenmod 10? |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Was great, now it's messing up my life This app was great. It had its quirks once in a while, but overall was good. Since a recent update, I enter something and it looks like it's there until I need it again, and then it's gone. I can't rely on it for anything anymore. I've missed appointments, been late for birthdays, and more. Like I said, instead of helping me, it's messing up my life. People think I'm forgetful and unreliable now because I have to call them back and ask them when something is happening again and again. Beware of this app! |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Superb |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Events to tasks & vise versa On my Black Berry I could switch a event to a task and then back to an event, also make a contact into a calendar event. Please figure it out on the droide! |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Best PIM I've been using this for a couple months now and think this is the best app out there for managing both calendar and tasks. Perfect sync with google. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Terrible disappointment After having used the iOS version for years I was bitterly disappointed. Very rough. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Dissatisfied Stopped working after last update. Sent loads of reports no answer. Pity was good |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: new release great improvement, still need widget I'm a long-time use of PI on WinMo. Was very happy to move away from WinMo to Android, but have really missed the mature PI app on WinMo. Latest release has really helped move it along. The most glaring omission at this point is a widget to enter new calendar and to-do items. In a brief scan of reviews it looks like this request is oft-repeated... If we say "please"? |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Update - finaly figured it out. I have been using this for awhile, and it's not bad, but not great either. UPDATE - I finally figured out how to change the settings so it the month view "shows mini text". Much better now, but I'm still deciding if I want to keep this (I paid for it) or go with one of the other two I am testing. I am leaving some of my first review up, to show how frustrating it was to not have this as the default setting, like every other app does. I am fairly tech savvy, but I forget annoyances when they aren't annoying me. Double checked the screen shots, and then was able to find the menu command in under 2 minutes. Doh! - Original- I would give it a higher rating if the month view actually showed anything. Scheduling appointments is frustrating since I work different hours and locations daily, I have to keep opening up the day view repeatedly to see what is on a specific date. On the plus side, it has never frozen or anything like that. I have had difficulty with edits to repeating events creating mirror events and not being able to delete them, but they are on the same day/time, so it's not a big problem. Syncs great with google calendar on my computer and looks nice beyond the month view. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: I cannot do any thing on task I use HTC ONE X. The tasks always show on all calendars. When I clicked complete button on android task or google calendar on the website they were still in the PI calendar on. The task always show although no tick in the setting menu. The app cannot add new task or edit. The calendar is mess by tasks. Please solve the problem. Also The PI oline is look good, but the events and task do not synce with my phone. I have used PI on win mobile before every thing was very okay and there's nothing to be blamed. |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Widget does not fit screen. What the big widget is going on?? Can someone help me fix this!! |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Loses Sync Account Every time I reboot. Poor. |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Resolved errors Started out with one star, back up now that errors are gone. FYI, you must delete trial version before full version will install. Had to figure that out myself. To get events on month view took me a week to figure out, settings, calendars, month view toggle to mini text. Not intuitive at all! |
[2012-09-11] A Google User: So much better on other OSs I've been using PI for years, dating back to when I had a Palm(!). When I moved to iOS on my iPod, PI moved with me, and was superb. But now that I am on Android, I have to say I'm disappointed with the app. Where is the view of each day's items in the monthly calendar view? Where is the intuitive interface? Where is the freakin' SETTINGS button? I was excited to find PI in Android. Now I wish I'd downloaded the free sample so I could have saved myself ten bucks. |
[2012-09-11] A Google User: Sub par Used this app on my iPad and old iPhone. A let down on my android, useless in this format. Make as good as the apple version for a higher rating. |
[2012-09-11] A Google User: Finally I've owned this program for years on multiple operating systems and haven't used it because of limited sync ability. Finally the ability to sync online both tasks and calendar events. A little buggy to start, but I plan on a yearly subscription if it gets better. |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: No customer support I've sent several support requests through their "ticket" system and never get a reply. There forum is a joke. Their CEO's posts are usually condescending |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Great but please read and fix. The app is great. Two problems : a category only lasts for the one event, but something that repeats itself should have the same category. Also, please provide a PIN to see private events. Something should show the event as private. If selected, a PIN opens it. Otherwise a great app. |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Need a WIDGET!!! Been using the PI since January 2011. Would really like to see a widget for home screen with a list of events. Thanks! Love the app! |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Loved it in win mo, now I think this is some other app Used to be so much better in win mo. Now there is no comparison. Don't you guys know what to do? I mean who designed and made pi for windows. It's all there. Means you're great, so I can't understand what are you doing. If I rate well this app, means that I'm offending all your work for pocket informant in win mo. Sorry! |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: good for toodledo tasks the best app I have found to manage a complex todo list. I run my life using this app! |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Crashes Constantly crashes when adding new event out task. Unusable. Uninstalling |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Thanks for this great update Excelent work. Thanks all of you. |
