On Air (Wifi Disk) (v. 0.9.2) Разработано Johan Cloetens |
On Air allows you to easily transfer files over your Wi-Fi connection by accessing it as if were a drive, from within your Finder.
Third beta: currently Mac is supported through AppleTalk,
Windows and Linux are supported through WebDAV or FTP.

[2013-07-19] A Google User: IPv6, really? This is a much needed tool, Although it would be a lot more helpful if it gave you the address in IPv4. Or have Bonjour (feature request for a pro version).. In the end, I couldn't get it to work on an unrooted Nexus 4. After pressing the power button it would turn on visually and give me the totally useless IPv6 address "afp://airon@gibberish.that.goes.off.the.screen - but I was unable to connect to it in the Finder. When pressing the power button again the app does not respond. Safe to assume that the process behind the GUI has crashed. Great idea. Shame about the execution. If this worked and had Bonjour announcing it I would definitely pay cashmoney for it. |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Does not work with ICS+ IPv6 address shown and goes off the page, unintuitive interface. It's been 2+ years since last update |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Trash AFP doesn't work with Lion, WebDAV doesn't do anything but lists the folder content like a text file (with FF). FTP works but that's it. There are much more sophisticated file sharing solutions eg. AirDroid. Thanks for the developer, he doesn't charge for this, at least. |
[2012-11-08] A Google User: No ICS or Jelly Bean support. It is now useless for me. It would be much better if it reported free space correctly. I i just bumped my review down from 4 to 1 star because it doesn't support ICS OR JB, so it's now useless for me. |
[2012-10-27] A Google User: Do not display IP probably Do not display IPv4 address, instead a IPv6 address is displayed, not sure if it is due to Android OS 4. |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Terrible Terrible. doesn't work with AFP at all. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: ftp link is cut App is not usable. ftp link is like ftp::/onair@fe80::... It's too long and doesn't fit into the screen. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Totally Useless on ICS or higher!!!! IPv6 address created on ICS or higher, so full address is cutoff on screen. App hasn't been updated in 2.5 years. Installed FTP Server instead - all needed options are configurable. |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Unusable Doesn't work on my rooted VZW Galaxy Nexus running a nearly stock ROM. It displays an IPv6 address that doesn't fit on the screen. I checked preferences and didn't find a way to change this. Uninstalled. |
[2012-08-15] A Google User: doesn't work it doesn't work on my galaxyS3. |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Lightweight, and well done It does what it promises, and it's simple, straightforward, lightweight. |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Works once you figure it out 3 stars for lack of good documentation and an unclear interface. Other than that it's great. For those confused about the operation of this app: select your OS first, then click the big power button; enter the ap, http, or ftp address into the relevant program on your computer; onair is the username and the unlabeled four digit number at the bottom that looks like a hit counter is the password. I'd suggest installing FileZilla on your computer and always running OnAir in FTP mode - less headaches that way. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Nexus 7: works fine but does not tell ip Works fine but you have to look up our IP address in your settings by clicking on your connected WiFi. On my phone (HTC amaze), the IP is displayed on the button screen. |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: App is not updated App seem to lack a lot of basic controls for a application that has been out for a while. Very much a none functioning app at this point. |
[2012-07-01] A Google User: Great program, too bad stopped working on Android4 Used it all the time before upgrading to ICS, but after upgrade it shows 127.0.0.1%2 as an address of my Galaxy S2, so no way of connecting to it anymore. |
[2012-06-03] A Google User: Simple, clean I use the FTP server, works well with Filezilla. Sometimes hard to get the initial connection but that is probably due to my phone. The big button should really let you turn off the server too (use the back button instead, or the home button to keep it running in the background). |
[2012-04-29] A Google User: Didn't work for me. It generated a link with IPv6 address, but ':' symbols are invalid in URLs, so I'm unable to connect to it. Also, app lacks of landscape layout. |
[2012-04-29] A Google User: Usually Don't works properly, no settings |
[2012-04-25] A Google User: Never could see full address Connection info was always truncated. I was never able to make a connection because of this so I switched to Air Droid. |
[2012-04-18] A Google User: Rey Ok |
[2012-03-18] A Google User: IPv6 doesn't work Can't disable IPv6 and it doesn't work. Total fail on Android 4. |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Mac OS X Snow Leopard & Lion users don't bother It should say so in description: Apple removed AppleTalk support from 10.6+, so the current beta is not useful to the users of the modern Mac OS X. |
[2012-01-26] A Google User: Works on GB Works great on my OG Droid and Droid RAZR. Unusable on honeycomb (ASUS eeepad transformer). Only shows Ipv6 address, which is weird, doesn't work. |
[2012-01-01] A Google User: Useful Mac Snow Leopard, Nook color-CM7 on SD Works as advertised. Copy 200 MB crashes 3-4 times. The last time causes Mac finder to freeze, forcing hard reboot. File sizes shown with On Air in Finder are inflated; my 16 GB chip shows 289GB unused, small text file are 4.3Gb. |
[2011-12-31] A Google User: Good App Seems like the Apple transfer protocol isn't supported on Lion, but you can still use the Windows option which works nicely. |
[2011-12-16] A Google User: Terrific app Would have liked the red button to be on off toggle switch racket than just on. |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: We miss your other apps, and this works great veryeasy to get my music onto my phone now without USB (lol I lost my USB plug) |
[2011-12-03] A Google User: Doesn't work on Mac Lion Whenever I try to connect to it, I get the following error (in Mac): "The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the problem" |

[2011-10-18] A Google User: Works well needs polish I've only used it as ftp and it does what is says on the box. Need to be able to turn session off by hitting the big button a second time. It's such a nice button please let me hit it more! |

[2011-07-01] A Google User: Works on rooted HTC Evo Works as advertised with Max OSX Snow Leopard. Only issues: I had to install a separate app to keep the Evo from going to sleep (No Screen Off). And file sizes are not being reported properly in the Finder. |

[2011-05-27] A Google User: Great app with Mac. Awesome app. Very simple to use. You must of course be on the same Wifi network. For Apple people, on Finder, click "Go" on the bar on top. "Connect to a server" then enter the address shown when you turn on 'On Air' then just enter the password given by On Air (4 digit code). Simple as that. No need to connect USB anymore. I do wish to use the phone while i'm using On Air, but it's not possible. Fix this? Nice Job overall! |

[2011-05-13] A Google User: READ THIS! it does work! Ok after trying and failing I remembered there are 2 types of ways for FTP: Passive and ACTIVE I use filezilla and remembered seeing these 2 types, by default it's passive in Filezilla all I had to do was change to ACTIVE in the settings and now 100% working Give that a try before saying it doesn't work...and please people do a little work and try to do things on your own...The effects of Windows......lazy people who want everything to work without even knowing why or how it does what it does. Great app!! |

[2011-04-15] A Google User: Works on Xoom if you fix address I found how to run on Xoom. The UI will give you an AFP link aftp://onair@XXX::macaddress:port and a password (4-digit number). From your MAC, connect to aftp://onair:4digitpass@xoom_ip:port Works ok with small glitches (wrong file sizes, problems with some filenames). Nice to have a wirelessly mounted Xoom. |

[2011-04-06] A Google User: Needs GUI Improvements It needs GUI and documentation improvements, For everyone who wants to know how to use it, (im on a mac) Open the app. Press the big 'On' button a 4 digit password will show in the bottom right hand side. then open a finder window press CMD+K type in the afp://etc..... and click 'Connect' use the 4 digit password shown on the phone Shazam! it shows up as a normal disk on the left hand side... pretty swish! But honestly, needs some major work on user experience :P |

[2011-04-05] A Google User: Works well! I had no problem setting up this app to work with my Wi-Fi network! It's very simple, but yet has some of the most crucial features other apps are missing.
