This calendar software works completely without google servers keeping your private stuff from the eyes of all-seeing google. It is a fork of AnCal and is also released under MIT license.
It fully supports portrait and landscape orientation.

[2012-11-16] A Google User: Not usable on 320x240. Can't scroll to see whole month for setting appt. Wont rotate 90 if keyboard slid closed and that's the only way to see 'set'. |

[2012-08-07] A Google User: Not optimal for Nexus 7 All features seem to work, but the display makes poor use of the screen real estate of the Nexus 7. Calendars are very tiny and leave large amounts of screen blank space unused. |
