My Effectiveness Habits (beta) (v. 0.7.10.9) Разработано AndTek |
We all want to be happy in this life. To reach happiness, we have goals. Different, some conscious, some subconscious. To reach them, we do take various steps. Making these steps we spend our time, effort, other resources. Life is quite limited in those resources, so we believe that it is important to spend them effectively. Important to be Productive.
"My Effectiveness Habits" helps increase your productivity.
!!! Can't attach Picasso images at this point - thanks for the reports and sorry for this bug :)
Find the short instructions below, more info on our blog: http://andtek.blogspot.com/.
Exclusive, 5-Star app.
It's not just a simple Todo list or Task manager, nor is a pure GTD-style app - it gives you MORE. The Habits have what other GTD and productivity applications are all missing: it helps you define your priorities and vision of your goals, overview and motivation of your deeds, plans, actions. Using it, you create a hierarchy of actions to reach your goals, where Actions of one Goal are totally separated from Actions of Another Goal, thus helping you concentrate much better on the current Goal and Action.
Don't stress yourself, AND do not procrastinate.
If you have just any issue, feedback or a simple thought about the application that you want to share with us, we are very happy to get that. Please, send them to ksasdk@gmail.com, or, write them anywhere in the http://andtek.blogspot.com, or within the review comments (don't forget the 5 stars ;). The feedback from You is very welcome!
The principle is as follows:
High level:
1. Write what is your mission in life. Your mission is a general guideline to how you will live your life, is what you see as the meaning of life for you. It is a constitution, a foundation that will govern your actions and goals. Writing your personal mission may be not a one-time action, you will need time to write it, re-write it, re-think it. You may return to it time to time.
2. Write down what concerns you have and which ones you can influence - visualise them in the circles. This will help you identify what you should concentrate on - actions you have influence on. Proactive, effective people increase their circle of influence. This page helps you visualize your worries, and concentrate on what you can change, what you can influence, not what you don't have control over.
Lower-level:
3. Define your roles. This helps you look on your life from different points. You can have different roles at the same time, the role may change depending on your priorities during the week. Example: at university you are a Student, at home you are a Husband/Wife or a Son/Daughter. Attach an Image/Picture from Camera or Gallery to better visualize the Role - visual information is better perceived by brain. To do so: Open Role -> Long-click on human icon in the top-left corner -> Choose source of image/picture
4. Set the goals you want to reach for each role. You can set long-term or short-term goals.
5. Define concrete steps - actions. You can have a single step actions, or you can define complex, multi-level project, or simple checklists.
6. Proritize your actions using 2x2 matrix (a.k.a. Eisenhower matrix).
7. Assign tasks to week days (use weekly planning).
For the matrix, your main work should go into Square 2 - you're more productive if you have your Important actions planned and under control. Remember: to be more productive, you have to do what is IMPORTANT, which might not be easy or pleasant, rather than urgent things.
We hope this app helps you (and me :) in reaching your goals in life. It is written inspired by the Great book by Dr. Stephen R. Covey "The 7 Habits of highly effective people".
The application is in the beta now, so, please, be patient to some flaws you might meet.

|
[2012-07-01] fo3cus: Good Work My partner introduced me to Mr Covey's teachings. She got excited when I showed her this app. Thank you :) |
|
[2012-07-01] Mia: Amazing Works absolutely great. I haven't read the book yet but I have been familiar with the priorities quadrant. To the developers, great job! have a request though. Can you make a large widget making the to do list / first things first already visible from the screen? Instead of me having to click the link etc etc to add or see the tasks. |
|
[2012-06-25] melody: Thank-you so much! |

[2012-06-19] Jeffrie: Almost there I would be willing to pay for the final version of the app if sync with google can somehow be added, also better widgets would be helpful. Not yet perfect but getting there |

|
[2012-05-31] erwan.charlier: Invert Important axis Interesting and useful app BUT maybe it's better to change Important / not Important order in a more logical way ( most important and urgent things on top right corner) |
|
[2012-05-30] Mike: Listening to the book now Good to see there is a tool to help with the 7 habits book! |
|
[2012-05-29] improve: Amazing Finally someone wrote an app to support Covey's book!! I think the "add concerns" feature is inspired. I've read about the circle of influence, but never put together making a list and reviewing it for ability to influence. Covey's system is sophisticated and it looks like this apps has the ability to make covey's system, clean, and easy to use. I'd like to see a web sychronize so Mission/Roles/priorities and the weekly plan could be worked on with a full computer. Organization and priorities is difficult for me and reviewing on a computer with a great visual format for the weekly plan would be helpful. I'm very jazzed about the possiblilities. Best of all the app can be moved to SD card! Thank you. |
|
[2012-05-23] Corey: Weekly Planner I had downloaded this app 3 times and cannot open the weekly planner and input anything! Advice please???? |
|
[2012-05-16] Charitable Giving Answers: Just started I haven't read 7 habits. But I liked the look of the app. Would be good to have examples of things like a mission or my influence. |
|
[2012-05-16] Andrew: Great. But it would also be good if the weekly tasks could be imported to google or android calendar. |
|
[2012-05-13] Samantha: This is neat I hope it continues to improve. |
|
[2012-05-13] Ivan: Finally! Although I am very happy that somebody finally made 7habits app, unfortunately somehow I can only see the full content of the app when in landscape. Please fix for immediate 5*! |
|
[2012-04-29] Misao: Very handy and useful It is getting better and better. Very useful and helpful to planning my day and week. Wonder if we could start color coding our something to indicate work vs personal tasks? Thanks. |
|
[2012-04-28] Bharat: Really good! Just what I was looking for. Gave it a 4 star as a monthly n yearly planner should also be included. |

[2012-02-25] Chasten: They best has finally arrived!! I have been searching, in fact, dreaming, of an app like this one! I have used the Franklin Covey method for years and find it to be the most effective way for me to work. There are tons of task list apps here in the market, many using the GTD method. I would often think: "Where's the love for the Franklin Covey / 7 Habits people?" Well, finally, here it is! And in brilliant fashion! Great UI, active development, a robust application (supports not just tasks, but projects as well). Thanks for a GREAT app! |
|

[2012-02-04] Arcenis: Good idea, but needs improvement The app looks great and appears to have a lot of promise, but it's not very intuitive and it comes with no guide. Also, alerts/alarms would be a huge help. Great start, but can use some work. |
|
[2012-02-04] kath: Fabulous. A great way to visualise and plan but it took me a little while to work it all out. I wouldn't like to be without this app now. |

|
[2012-02-01] Norberto: A little bit dissapointed It needs a widget and also the option of scheduled notifications for everyday improvement. Without them I'd rather use an agenda, there's no difference. |
|
