MaplePaint (v. 1.3.2) Разработано MapleWorks Technology Inc. |
MaplePaint is a vector based note taking application for Android based phones and tablets that can be used for journaling/note taking. It reads and writes standard SVG graphics so written notes can be consumed with other SVG tools (e.g. Firefox, Chrome).

[2012-09-08] dcoales: Great app - wish I could edit text The app is great. Love the razor. Love the ease of entering text wherever I want. I just wish I could go back to previously entered text and edit it. |
[2012-08-08] Seng He: Too good! I can't imagine how long it took me to finally find THE app for handwriting purposes only. This app is near perfect, only thing is the eraser that annoys me, regular users will understand. But all in all, still a very usable app and definitely practical in many situations... |
[2012-08-01] T-Bubbles: Can't see the tools horrible DELETED |
[2012-07-18] Brendan: I like it I was looking for something similar to bamboo paper on app store. This seems to work well. The but I need the setting options easier. |
[2012-07-09] Krister: Fun! No extra permissions, and it works great! Thanks for making this one :) |
[2012-06-27] Michael: Using pinching gesture to zoom? Great app, would be ideal if one could using pinching gesture to zoom in and out. Currently the zoom buttons are a bit tedious, requiring many presses as each press only zooms in or out a little. |
[2012-05-27] Aurimas: Aurimas The best there is at the moment and it does a really good job.In future could do with xtra tools like bucket, circle and rectangular.Thank you MaplePaint. |
[2012-05-27] op: Needs some tlc No file type selection (saves the the files a zip??), no directory selection, small icons, no settings menu, undo is only with the small icon(much better if it was with the volume key) |
[2012-04-29] semu: Vast and usefull Very fast and very responsive. Usefull for sketching especialy when it's come for straight line. Great apps. |
[2012-04-25] Madhu: Versatile Great for note taking in class and meetings, need a better stylus. Quite responsive. Overall satisfied. |
[2012-04-21] noneofmybusiness: So close to being the best Out of the couple apps I'd tested, this is better, but it's missing 3 things - 1) multitouch zoom/pan, 2) hide menu bar, 3) persistent page style. |
[2012-04-09] cK: Great vector drawing app Love the fact that I port it out to my computer to use it later |
[2012-03-02] vivek: Good I like it. |
[2012-02-27] Dragos: Simple & powerful One of the few vectorial drawing apps out there. Very simple and practical, you can view files with firefox. |
[2012-02-27] Matt N: Not close, shows promise Drawing separate lines and moving them to make shapes doesn't work well. Needs polylines, endpoint moving, polygons with fill and stroke, and maybe b-splines. |
[2012-02-24] Darius: Great It's really great, but needs improvements and more features like note export, sync or share. Also I cannot enter any text... Separate folder also needed for storing notes. Also I would like to see a small pages navigator and notes browser with thumbnail support. |
[2012-02-17] Pollag: Wow I love this just found it |
[2012-02-10] Chopramon: Great Notetaker Love for note taking and saving pages for school. Will never take paper to class again! NEEDS pdf support. |
[2012-01-31] Marc: 5 star app, with room for features. While this is an easy 5 star app, it is missing a few key features to be the hands down best handwriting app. Please add a way to export into something other than Firefox/svg, and a way to sync to the cloud! |
[2012-01-28] Ivor: Surprisingly Great Very, very responsive! Needs sharing and export file as jpg, PDF, etc. If it had import image and layers, it would be better than Adobe Ideas. Super useful and fast.... highly recommended. |
[2012-01-25] bassaian: Swype Always looked useful, now it is |
[2012-01-14] Justin: Good for Class Bought my Xoom so I wouldn't have to lug around notebooks and such. This app allows me to take notes in the classes such as linear algebra that are hard to do in an inline notes program. Additionally, it allows you to take multiple pages of notes. |
[2012-01-06] Jesse: Best sketch app! Only needs palm protection to get a 5 star :-) |
[2012-01-05] Amos: Fun Basic but fun |
[2012-01-04] Jason: Nice little tool... It's not bad, takes some getting used to. I don't think it is as intuitive for drawing, but it works well with my Sony tablet. Keep up the good work, I, look forward to future versions. |
[2011-11-26] kgingeri: Like Xournal Not the feature set yet but quite a bit like Xournal on Linux |
[2011-10-22] o: Love it. Would really like to see some object transformation instruments though. |
[2011-10-15] alan s: GREAT - I prefer this to the awesome Sketchbook Mobile. I'd pay $$$ for a pro version with opacity&saturation on colour picker & Adobe style pen tool |
[2011-10-14] Jining: Great Was looking for an app like this |
[2011-10-06] Shasha: I love it Love it!! |
[2011-09-21] JB333: Very good, would happily pay if it had feature to export/share pages with other apps. |
[2011-09-10] Jupiter065: This is a very good app, but what would make it great is some expanted text editing feeatures for those of us with blutooth keyboards. |
[2011-08-29] Andrzej Pronobis: Good, but missing several simple features! Just the ability to draw rectangles/diagrams would be a great addition. Also, how do I remove a page? Snap to grid? Save as a PNG. Export/share? etc. |
[2011-08-22] deaconb: Very promising... Great start. I'm really hoping the app will focus more on formal illustration and less on "note taking"... there are plenty of note taking apps out there. The Android platform really needs a solid vector illustration app to compliment apps like SketchBook Pro. Add support for point manipulation, bezier curves and stroke styling and I'd be happy to pay big premium bucks for a full tablet version. Muti-touch + bezier curves = nirvana! |
[2011-08-17] Omer: Wow, this the best app for drawing on android, on galaxy tab. Would be great if you could add predefined shapes |
[2011-08-02] jschall: This is amazing for a free program! It comes close to replacing pencil and paper. The menus are beautifully thought-out. |
[2011-07-30] Zach: Not optimized for Android By far the best app out there on android for taking notes. Drawing still a little annoying though |
[2011-07-22] Kaska: Great app, needs evernote integration Great application. Best note taking software for Android yet. Would be 5 stars with Evernote integration |
[2011-07-16] Lance: This is excellent for taking notes in a math/engineering class where its more than just writing! |
[2011-07-16] Lance : This is excellent for taking notes in a math/engineering class where its more than just writing! |
[2011-07-10] Charles: Problem entering text with some keyboards You can enter text with some keyboards besides the standard Android keyboard. The problem is that the app won't accept text from keyboards that enter the text as whole words. For example, Swype will work if you tap keys to enter text (not if you swipe the keys to enter whole words). Thumb Keyboard works like the Standard Keyboard, so no problem. FlexT9 doesn't work at all with this app because of its predictive text feature, I guess. Would be great if this were fixed. |
[2011-07-08] Adam: Great app I use this app on my Xoom in my advanced math classes so I can do all of the work and not have to use up lots of notebooks. Saving trees is always good, that and I pull off looking cool. The only downsides to the app are the lack of pinch zoom and the lack of an export feature to turn the stuff into a jpeg or png. |
[2011-06-22] Germinal: Great app This is one of my favorite apps, I installed on my acer iconia a500 and it works greats, excellent job guys! |
[2011-06-22] Germi: Great app This is one of my favorite apps, I installed on my acer iconia a500 and it works greats, excellent job guys! |
[2011-06-07] Andrew: I was beggining to think an app like this didn't exist! This will work as a drawing and note app and unlike the rest of either, can do both at once! |
[2011-06-02] Anonymous: works great on htc flyer! |
[2011-06-01] Usman: Great App How do you convert your writing to text? |
[2011-06-01] Usman: Great App How do you convert your writing to text? |
[2011-05-26] Ankur Kulkarni: Overall superb for taking extensive notes. Cons: Little slow in reading writing and saving files. Cant choose where to save notes. No palm rejection. |
[2011-05-20] Flip: Exactly what I was looking for Since getting an android tablet, I've been disappointed that I couldn't find a good note-taking app. MaplePaint fits that role perfectly, I'm so glad I've finally found it. Requests: OCR to transform my handwriting to text, and pinch-to-zoom or at least the ability to draw a box to zoom to. |
[2011-05-17] Sergey: Xournal like. Russian input doesn't work. |
[2011-05-10] Myra: This is a very elegant and intuitive app. Lots of potential for personal journaling, hope to see future updates supporting that. |
[2011-05-07] Violet: Fun, friendly, fab drawing tool. 1 permission-write to SD. Respects yr privacy & minimal resources. Brillant. Love it! Thanks! |
[2011-05-06] midtoad: Good for handwritten notes with doodles or sketches. Pen-size tool doesn't work in latest version. |
[2011-04-25] movein69: nice This app is great so far! |
[2011-04-16] Anonymous: There are so many note apps. Aim higher. This could be so close to Illustrator on Android. Need handles, transforms, fills, exports for now e.g. ai. |
[2011-04-13] zumzaitdracos: Extremely defficient app; I enter handwritten notes on several raws on the notebook-canvas of this app, saved, but when I next openned, was all a mess |

[2011-04-07] Mr. Bruce: Needs transform, rotate, grouping, spray gun, transparency, layers, transform, rotate, grip handles, vector points. |
[2011-04-06] Homer: Awesome! |
[2011-04-05] Migue: best note taking app for students I've found am using this app with my xoom and it works great, it lets just choose different colors, add pages, type, write and highlight and even has a graph paper option. The only thing that's lacking is a file organizer, right now all the files are put in one place. |
[2011-04-04] Li: Buttons should be bigger. Bottom bar can be merged with top. Make a tablet version pls? Make zooming and panning on page easier. |
[2011-04-01] alwaysfroosh: Seems like it has potential, but I couldn't get Swype to work with it so it's kinda useless to me. X10 |
[2011-03-30] Dustin: Things needed: save to cloud or PDF and multitouch zoom |
[2011-03-29] dharmin007: Just the thing I wanted. |
[2011-03-19] Renn: Lots of potential. But files are jumbled on reloading. Galaxy tab. |
[2011-03-19] r_kivari: Lots of potential. But files are jumbled on reloading. Galaxy tab. |
[2011-03-17] Eric: Best so far but problems saving Best note taking app I've found so far. Can write on it just like paper with a stylus. Only problem is that when I save more than one page for a note, it saves all the pages on top of each other. Motorola Xoom |
[2011-03-10] Darius: I downloaded 13 other notetaking apps and this is the best hands down! Dont listen to the idiots bashing this app it rocks! and no I dont work 4 them! |
[2011-03-10] Michael: Great app. Will be perfect for tablets! |
[2011-02-02] Koma: Has potential. Needs more work. Buttons too small on a DEFY. Buttons along bottom should be hidden. Want to edit & position points. |
[2011-01-21] Avoura: Limited and there seems to be no way to open files. It should work with svg files, but how?? Poor. |
[2011-01-09] phbenito: Good beginning & so far only vector-based drawing app I've seen. Would like to see the object handles when selecting + pinch zoom. Updates anytime? |
[2011-01-07] megmaltese: This IS a vector app, each sign is a vector element, you just can't edit it apart moving it lol. Anyway, app is average, i didn't find it that useful. |
[2011-01-06] Brandon: Nothing to do with vector graphics! |
[2011-01-04] Meg: UI is ok. But where is the VECTOR aspect? No pen tool, no vectors. |
[2010-12-23] budrow: Doesn't have any predefined shapes. UI is slick, the features it does have are great! |
[2010-12-08] Stuart Layton: No file chooser, you cab only open files in a single directory |
[2010-12-01] Reina: Dosn't work |
[2010-11-29] jmazz: Although it needs some more work, here is-finally- a serious note taking, vector drawing app. |
[2010-11-29] marc: Works well, even on this el cheapo zte racer. |
[2010-11-29] jake: Although it needs some more work, here is-finally- a serious note taking, vector drawing app. |
[2010-11-13] hevosenliha: It has potential |
[2010-11-04] Simon: Good app. but text only works with standard keyboard, not with other input method. (N1) |
[2010-10-28] Sanjay: Really nice for taking notes and drawing circuit diagrams in electronics classes. Text tool didn't accept input from swype though! |
[2010-10-26] Daniel: A very nice program, but I agree it's missing some necessary features at this point. |
[2010-10-17] Justin: good function and UI, but everything its jumbled up when open saved file. :( |
[2010-09-28] Pheuque: Maplepaint is a promising app, but hasn't delivered yet. There are no tools for the simple adding of a box or oval, or editing a line. |
[2010-09-24] SATIVA: Amazing I'm so glad I downloaded this.well worth it I'd even pay for it.great work. |
[2010-09-24] Sativa: Amazing I'm so glad I downloaded this.well worth it I'd even pay for it.great work. |
[2010-09-23] Marissa: Great to waste time, ha. - vibrant |
[2010-09-15] pnjunction: Really good when making a new file, but on my Vibrant files are jumbled on opening. Also text doesn't appear. Fix these it's a 5 for sure |
[2010-08-24] trioxin245: Works great...HTC Evo |
[2010-08-22] M: I was looking for an object based drawing program & I think I'm gonna like this one! |
[2010-08-17] Janis: Text works for me on Vibrant. Handwritten notes jumbled on reopen; groups of lines get moved. Get error when overwriting that file exists. Way cool. |
[2010-07-27] the 8/17/2010 Works really well -moto droid |
[2010-07-27] Scuba Steve: Works really well -moto droid |
[2010-07-18] shokunin: It would be great if the app never more of vector drawing software such as inkscape Add shape tool, not only pencil |
[2010-06-18] damuffinman: Cool app but text input doesn't work. HTC Desire |
[2010-06-01] regulardan: Awesome app plenty of options and works well |
