This app is for those who work with lubricants.
There are four formulas:
* calculating the viscosity index (having the information of viscosity at 40 and 100 degrees Celsius);
* calculation of the viscosity at 100 degrees Celsus (having the information of the viscosity at 40 and Viscosity Index);
* calculation of the viscosity at any temperature (taking information from two temperatures and two viscosities);
* calculation of the blending of two oils to achieve the desired viscosity.
Mineral oils are Newtonian fluids, but in some cases, especially because some additives -like the one that increases the viscosity index, they do not behave as such fluids . For this reason the formulas of this application can generate inaccurate values. Thus, the results are more accurate for viscosity ranges between 5 and 1000 cSt, viscosity index between 60 and 180, and temperatures between -10 and 150 degrees Celsius.
But, in any situation, the results of this formulas should only serve as a reference and they will never replace the manuals and Descriptive brochures of each product.
