Keyboard Manager (root users) (v. 2.3) Разработано ne0fhyk |
ROOT USERS ONLY!!!
Keyboard Manager allows you to customize what keyboard appears based on your phone orientation.
It displays the keyboards you have enabled on your android device, and let you select one per orientation (landscape/portrait).
As your phone switch orientation, the app automatically switch the keyboard.

[2012-12-20] A Google User: Sweet Finally. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Good.. It does exactly what I need it to do, but force closes often on several different ROMs. Verizon GNex. |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: great app, few bugs though the app worked flawlessly on 2.3 if I remember correctly, however on my stock 4.0.4 it tends to misbehave. sometimes there's a lag when switching from soft keyboard (SwiftKey in my case) to hardware keyboard (to which I assigned stock Xperia keyboard), sometimes I'm not able to text anymore and have to minimize and kill the SMS app, and sometimes it doesn't switch from SwiftKey to Xperia keyboard at all. although the idea is great and I hope it'll be still developed! |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Awesome Does what it's supposed to. Love the control of Android. Don't think the pro key does anything, but everyone should give the dev a buck |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: FINALLY!!! This should be a stock option, instead this developer had to create this for us... FOR FREE! Works like a champ so far with limited testing. Will give it some time and update this review, if still a 5 Star Apk, I will be "buying" the Donate version! This ALONE is worth Rooting! |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: thank you this solves the major issue I had with my tablet |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Since the last update program randomly would stop working . |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: NOT HAPPY,AT ALL It failed to open de,app n now I hav to wait for it to,open n most of my other, apps, must force close |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: I once rooted a phone, just for this app It's one of the most useful apps on my phone. Such a simple idea, but it's ridiculously nice to have |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: Excelente Ahora si puedo usar swype y SwiftKey al mismo tiempo |
[2012-10-21] A Google User: Wow freaking genius Fixes the problem of having to use swype wide screen! |
[2012-10-18] A Google User: Great Concept. When I first got the application it worked great. Now it doesnt even work waste of time please fix, Thanks. Samsung nexus s 4G. |
[2012-10-13] A Google User: Worth a try Doesn't show gamekeyboard app as a keyboard. Hard keyboard option is grayed out on xperia play. App doesn't work for any purpose I needed it to. Please fix that then I'll give it five stars |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Excellent - Transformer Pad w/ keyboard dock This is exactly what I have been looking for. There's an issue with 3rd party soft keyboards when us Transformer users plug in our keyboard dock. With this app we can automatically switch back to Asus Input Method when the dock is plugged in, then back to our cool soft keyboard when we unplug it. Nice work, thank you. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: force closed |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Its OK, but could use some work Transition between keyboards is too slow on the physical keyboard on my Droid 4. I sometimes start typing then it switches keyboard after the first word and the whole thing gets screwed up. So basically I have to wait about 4 seconds each time after sliding out the keyboard. Kind of annoying... |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Functional but slow Wish the switch process was a bit quicker, but does what it says |
[2012-09-21] A Google User: It's been improved It's gotten a lot better since I first started using it about a year ago, but I still have one complaint. Every time I update my ROM I need to redo all of my settings. I wish it could remember them through the update. |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: Sidekick 4g This app did absolutely nothing.. I wanted the keyboard to pop up in landscape so I didn't have to open my keyboard but this app doesn't do that.. |
[2012-09-10] A Google User: Need Improvement I need a Keyboard Manager that should choose a keyboard depends on the application. |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: A must have app! This is definitely become my new must-have app for any android tablet users that also use a physical external keyboard (i.e. the TF101's Keyboard Dock). This app does exactly what it states in that it changes what is the current input method according to NOT ONLY your tablet/phone's orientation but also if an external keyboard is attached. So now I can use ASUS English Keyboard when I use my keyboard dock but Swiftkey X Tablet otherwise! |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Auto rotate issue The app stops running whenever I toggle auto rotate, often showing the wrong keyboard in landscape mode. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Good idea but too slow Takes too long to change between keyboards. Not worth the hassle unless the transition is seamless and instant. |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: Samsung Captivate Cyanogenmod9 Doesn't allow swipe |
[2012-08-25] A Google User: Very useful! |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Almost perfect... 4.9/5... a dock (default) keyboard option would make it perfect! |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Won't stay where I leave it Keeps changing back |
[2012-08-14] A Google User: Force closes everytime Can't open Force closes. And i am rooted |
[2012-08-12] A Google User: Solved a issue I was having! I rooted and flashed a jelly bean rom on my kindle fire and I use swift keyboard but I would have to go in settings each time I booted to re activate it... This solved it and loads it for me! I'm a happy camper... Thanks |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Such a simple app BUT very useful for large screens like the One X or Galaxy Note. Thank you Dev. |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Youtube work perfect now! Awesome, last update fixed the issue on my Samsung GS3. Thanks! |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Awesome Great app |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Perfect with hard keyboard I have a Motorola XT860 (Droid 3 or something) with a physical keyboard. Prefer the Motorola implementation for predictive text for hard keyboard, but prefer T9 layout of Smart Keyboard for portrait typing. This awesome app is the solution. Thank you to the developer for brilliantly simple solution to a complex UI issue. |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Amazing! Just what I wanted! Only problem is, I can't figure out how to send my money to the developer! :-P |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: Great app Love it now I get Swype and stock jb predictive keys :-). This app makes switching perspective lag a bit on gnex 4.1.1 - look forward to faster switches in future updates :-) |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: JB Update Crashes in android 4.1. Worked great until then. Will try in another ROM then update rating. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Works well Does what it says on the tin. |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Used it for years now, love it |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Works ok on gnex but great on other devices A few rather large bugs on my Galaxy Nexus. Works perfect on my Bionic though. |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: He haw> MOOOOO |
[2012-07-05] A Google User: Great for Appradio 2! I came across this while looking for a problem I was having with my new Pioneer Appradio 2. This radio forces you to use the keyboard that comes with the radio rather than being able to use yours like (Swiftkey) for example. Since when I hook up my radio to my Galaxy Nexus it puts my phone into landscape mode this app works perfectly. I doubt this was any where near your intention but I would let people know because anyone who has this radio is pulling their hair out trying to figure out a solution. Many many thanks! |
[2012-06-24] A Google User: Great little app This feature should be standard on all android devices. This has a couple bugs, but they are pretty minimal. Thanks for putting together a great app. |
[2012-06-20] A Google User: No root access on Galaxy S3 Despite a rooted phone, the app says it can't acquire root access and then shuts down. I have the Galaxy S3 and I use SuperSU for root access. This is an amazing idea and I wouldn't hesitate to give it five stars if I could get it running. |
[2012-06-18] A Google User: Gaebage A complete waste of sim space. Although engaged and my choice of keyboard selected for both the vertical and horizontal, Swype rears its ugly head every bootup. Wasn't this supposed to prevent that? |
[2012-06-04] A Google User: Must have This app is a must have, it allows me to swipe while in portrait and use SwiftKey in landscape. My only gripe is that it does not play very well with screen rotation animations, though that me just be my rom. Evo 3d on ZR3D 4.1 gt. |
[2012-05-24] A Google User: Ace |
[2012-05-21] A Google User: runs three keyboards! Epic 4g with keyboard, rooted to cm9 android 4.0. this app allows me to use the hardkeys when open, swiftkey when closed landscape, and swipe for one handed portrait mode. |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: works perfect just what i was looking for |
[2012-05-15] A Google User: Great except Since I installed it on my Galaxy Nexus it seems to lock up the main thread and screen input making it so I can't get past the lock screen. All hardware buttons work properly in a standard timely manner. If I wait long enough or do enough with the hardware buttons eventually my phone will accept touch input. Otherwise I have to pull the battery and power on the phone to get back in. This is a huge problem that may only affect ICS devices? |
[2012-05-09] A Google User: Brilliant Works very well! Thanks! X10 mini pro, MiniCM7 |
[2012-05-02] A Google User: Perfect A bit sluggish, but does excellent and everything I want |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: Xoooooooooo Coool |
[2012-04-10] A Google User: Awesome Love it. Just what I always wanted. |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: The best... Just works. Cause it makes no sense to have Swype in landscape. |
[2012-03-21] A Google User: This app is good ! I switch between smart keyboard (portrait) and thumb keyboard (landscape) because the smart keyboard portrait is the best and the thumb keyboard landscape is exceptional! |
[2012-03-13] A Google User: Solved my only gripe with the xperia mini pro Thanks for the work in it. Works good does what I want from it. Nice. |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: Perfect for Transformer Prime |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Butler Prefect app. Does exactly what I want. |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Works well but conflicts with my camera When the service is running my camera app cannot launch. Would give 5 stars otherwise. |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: Thank you so much! I love being able to use Swype in portrait and Swiftkey X in landscape. Wasn't sure if it was ever going to be possible. Thanks for making it happen! |
[2012-02-21] A Google User: Great Really useful for switching to Hackers Keyboard for landscape terminals, and back to Swype when in portrait mode. Also, on my Transformer Prime. allows me to set TouchPal keyboard when I am not using the dock, and the standard ASUS keyboard when I am. Unobtrusive, and just works. |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Been wanting this! Works perfect on EVO 3d. |
[2012-02-16] A Google User: Works great on ICS Now that Swype is working on Android 4.0 again, I set this to use Swype in portrait mode and Thumb Keyboard in landscape on my Galaxy Nexus. I love this! |
[2012-02-15] A Google User: Works great I use Swype in portrait and Thumb keyboard in landscape. |
[2012-02-10] A Google User: What I've been Looking For Works great! I needed this because I really like Swype, but I can't use it while lying down. And my stock keyboard works much better in landscape anyway. 5 stars EVO 3D. |
[2012-01-28] A Google User: great for Transformer Prime |
[2012-01-10] A Google User: Noticeable lag. Somewhat convenient, but very annoying lag when I try to switch from swype in portrait to swiftkey x in landscape. |
[2012-01-05] A Google User: Does what it says, great. |
[2012-01-03] A Google User: Idk what happen, but the bugs have been fixed and works beautifully now! Used to work great but doesn't work at all on liberty gingerbread. |
[2012-01-02] A Google User: Perfect One of the first apps I install after a fresh wipe and flash. It's an answer to Swype users' prayers. |
[2011-12-30] A Google User: How did I not know about this before? So useful -- got Swype running in portrait and Swiftkey running in landscape... works like a charm. |
[2011-12-27] A Google User: Works exactly as described This is very useful for small tablet users. It is easy to configure, and does exactly what it is supposed to. One feature that would really improve it would be to also have per-application keyboard overrides. |
[2011-12-23] A Google User: Need fix... Doesn't work well on galaxy nexus... |
[2011-12-19] A Google User: Problem. Doesn't always run on Galaxy Nexus. Works great on every other device I've used. |
[2011-12-16] A Google User: Perfect! Does exactly what it says it does and does it well! |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: Awesome. Works perfectly on my Razr. Automatically switches even when the keyboard is already open. Changes are instantaneous, and I have never seen it fail. |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: Awesome! Awesome! |
[2011-12-13] A Google User: Cool but a little buggy on sgs2 Sometimes the individual keyboards will force close. Also for some reason the zxing barcode scanner won't open the camera while this service isrunning |
[2011-12-03] A Google User: Using on a Droid Bionic. Great app! Love being able to have a different keyboard w/o having to switch it manually all the time. Infrequent force close but manageable. |
[2011-11-29] A Google User: Thanks Great job on latest update. Made this fantastic app that much better! |
[2011-11-27] A Google User: Good Very nice, so worth it. Sometimes slow loading certain keyboards. |
[2011-11-26] A Google User: Works |
[2011-11-18] A Google User: Works perfect!!!! Exactly what I needed. |
[2011-11-05] A Google User: A must have for rooted users wanting 2 KB Options Works perfectly on my Nexus One, Nexus S and SGS II. No force closes at all. This app is a must have for rooted users wanting 2 different KB options based on screen orientation. Running Swype in Portrait & Stock GB Keyboard in Landscape w/o a single issue. |
[2011-11-02] A Google User: Awesome! Great idea, works like a charm, one of those 'why didn't I think of that' apps. |
[2011-10-25] A Google User: Good app Awesome, some force closes, but it works very well for free |
[2011-10-24] A Google User: Yayyy! Its freaking awesome. Just what I wanted. Swipe portrait and multitouch for landscape. Awesome job! |
[2011-09-26] A Google User: Love it! Been using the swype keyboard so long I forgot how nice the stock is in landscape :p |
[2011-09-24] A Google User: Bionic: Works great. No problems switching swype and stock keyboard |
[2011-09-22] A Google User: Works Perfectly Droid X I am switching between swype and swiftkey x (portrait/land), and this is awesome! FC's every now and then for the keyboards, but only when a keyboard is being switched. Doesn't effect use, and rarely slows the system down. Swiftkey is sweet for dbl thumb typing and predictions... swype is amazing for one handed portrait use... |
[2011-09-15] A Google User: Seems to work great on Bionc This is working perfectly on the Bionic. No issues as of yet....switches every time. |
[2011-09-13] A Google User: . Works but bogs down entire system when returning to GoLauncher after rotating phone. Rooted deodex'd G2x. Used to be amazing on old MT3G. Uninstalled. |
[2011-09-06] A Google User: It works, but.... It works, but it still causes a lot of force closes with swiftkey x and thumb keyboard |
[2011-08-25] A Google User: Does what it says (most of the time)... Unfortunately, there are a few FC issues every now and then, and I just don't find the app as useful as I thought I would. |
[2011-08-01] A Google User: Love it! Works perfectly if you are running a Rom that has root, su, and busybox. |
[2011-07-27] A Google User: Crappy, dose not work steamy dog log in the yard refund now please |
[2011-07-26] A Google User: Great but causes hbo go to close when playing shows |
[2011-07-24] A Google User: It's worth it Only app which does what it says.very useful. Sometimes it force closes but it works fine most of the time. Galaxy s2 |
[2011-07-09] A Google User: After the update to this and SwiftKey X Beta, I can run Swype/SwiftKey perfectly without FCs. Definitely worth the money. |
[2011-07-09] Parker, Centric, Akulamenuri: After the update to this and SwiftKey X Beta, I can run Swype/SwiftKey perfectly without FCs. Definitely worth the money. |
