[2011-11-10] Tahir: Drains battery The app has ridiculous wake lock activity... Makes it almost unusable for my battery to last a whole day! |
[2011-11-09] octopus.tentacles: Works well, high wakelocks though. Requires ROOT While it's not mentioned in the overview, this app will ONLY be able to initiate a SSL VPN if your device is ROOTED. Once rooted, it works fine. I use it on my tablet with 2x Client to RDP into my work computer without a problem and on my handheld to access my intranet. yay! Downside? Even when not running (disconnected) Junos seems to trigger quite a high number of wakelocks (via betterbatterystats) which keeps your device awake for no reason. Temporary removing sudo/root may alleviate that problem. |
[2011-10-29] Bhaskar: Cm7.1 nook color Finally L3 VPN working on my rooted nook color running cm7.1. It does require root access though. |
[2011-10-28] khajster: Works Just Fine...great app I am used to connecting to office network using Junos Pulse. Googling with the keywords Junos and Galaxy, I got to this app on the Android Market and it works like a charms. It loads a little slow over my GPRS connection (3G still expensive!!!). But on Wi-Fi it is fast. I am using this on the GT-I9003 with 2.2. |
[2011-10-28] Geert: VPN ???? Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100 2.3.4 Gingerbread -> NO VPN! Useless |
[2011-10-27] LeadPro: Good Seems to need root access to work. Rated good now that it's working. |
[2011-10-27] lynchnigel: No back button appearing when going somewhere |
[2011-10-27] Alex: IMHO: Beta grade AT BEST!! Apart from managing to bring up the login screen from the firewall - nothing else seems to work properly if at all. GUI seems to assume you're going to be using a tablet as it fills half the screen with stuff you don't need to see while trying to log into the firewall. If you attempt login in landscape mode, the entire login screen is hidden from view while trying to enter credentials. App doesn't work, crashes, and even when running is clunky and glitches. Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9000 2.3.4 Gingerbread. |
[2011-10-22] Damjan: Working great on Samsung Galaxy S You have to insert VPN module (tun.ko) into the kernel! # insmod /lib/modules/tun.ko Your Juniper admin must add you into the Junos Pulse Role! Working great ower 3G and wifi! |
[2011-10-22] jafar1978: Fantastic application I have used this app to connect to my company network. |
[2011-10-17] JC: Needs more testing Crashed my SGS 3 times in a span of 5 minutes. Needs some proper bug fixing. |
[2011-10-09] orsinijj: Still no vpn Enough said... |
[2011-10-09] Chris: It's googles fault there is no network connect as they won't allow access to their API |
[2011-10-09] Johnathan: Works with cyanogen 7 L3 support is working for certain gb roms This software works on some gb roms I have used. It works well when it works. If you don't see the icon a |
[2011-10-08] Rémi: Don't be fooled. This is not a VPN solution. It just open the browser. |
[2011-10-08] Aries: Work Onlu work with cynogenmod. I use zte blade |
[2011-10-08] Dejan: It's only possible to use included editor. Without options to use terminal/ssh clients on vpn servers, this app is practically useless for me. |
[2011-10-06] Jérôme: No support for Honeycomb 3.2... Disappointing |
[2011-10-06] Andrew: Yay! The update makes it work like network connect on my flashback8.1 gtab and Evo 4g now. i.e. doesn't require the use of the integrated browser. |
[2011-10-06] idanz: VPN disconnected I installed the latest update and still same problem VPN DISCONNECTED version 3.0.0.13945 :( samsung galaxy GT-I9000 FW-2.3.4 gingerbread |
[2011-10-06] Justin: VPN Stopped working It worked when I ran CyanogenMod, but not stock 2.3.4 & 2.3.6 on Nexus S (i9020T). When it did work, had to be on wifi for browser, SSH over 3g was OK |
[2011-10-05] jimbob: VPN tunnel fail Doesn't really work, even when rooted. |
[2011-10-05] DrTechy: Still not functioning correctly on honeycomb Good if it works Disappointed,On honeycomb 3.1 rooted however it will not prompt for root access. On my thunderbolt though which runs gingerbread it w |
[2011-10-05] Wawan: Droid X Great app, I can connect to my work VPN now |
[2011-10-05] Thomas: Works great - fast too! |
[2011-10-04] Vijay: This is not a VPN solution Does not work like the Junos pulse app on the IPhone. On android, this is not a complete VPN solution. The browser on the android, doesn't use this VPN. Juniper, you need to have Network connect for this app to be any good. |
[2011-10-01] ionic: Finally supports L3 VPN This app finally supports L3 VPN. Yes, you can use it to create a VPN which works for any data application on your phone, but it took a long time for Juniper to implement it. Still, it does its job good enough. 4/5 stars due to the fact it doesn't always stay in RAM but can be killed (and thus your VPN too.) This applies to the *newest* version only - older ones could not establish L3 VPN connections and are somewhat useless. Thumbs up for the newest version though. |
[2011-09-25] Grant: Not work |
[2011-09-21] Evan: Almost there... Time for an unrooted solution. |
[2011-09-21] pexji: Vpn VPN doesn't work |
[2011-09-19] T3k: Not ready for prime time Utterly useless without (unrooted) L3 SSL VPN/Network Connect! |
[2011-09-11] Bert: I would like to connect over Juniper's VPN solution @work but while app says "connected" I can't access a single server. Not even an internal website. |
[2011-09-08] Scott: L3 VPN working perfectly! SSL VPN working perfectly on my Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab P1000, and Acer Iconia A500. All rooted, and Iconia required installation of a compatible "tun.ko" module. Samsung worked after post install reboot. |
[2011-08-31] binarypower: Disappointed Layer 3 works on my rooted G2 for a bit then stops, loses connectivity and the wifi has to be restarted. Only stays connected for 30 seconds or so. |
[2011-08-26] codeX: It says connected, but VPN status is disconnected. Can't access my files via samba. Rooted phone |
[2011-08-22] Andreas: Not more than a web browser |
[2011-08-10] Inbar: I have a rooted nexus s but can't tunnel... Anyone has any idea why? |
[2011-08-09] Adam: Useless as is This does nothing my browser can do... Add network connection like iphone app has |
[2011-08-08] Rahul: Works with L3 VPN on rooted device.. But whats the point when it disconnects after sometime and your wifi suddenly stops working. I had to turn off and on the wifi to get back on. Never encountered this on iOS so i believe it has to do with the android app. No response on the support email. |
[2011-08-08] slogic01: What is taking so long for VPN support, Juniper??? This doesn't even support your own crummy Network Connect solution? Ridiculous! |
[2011-08-08] HKing: Missed the Mark WAITING FOR FIX "Agreed" add L3 support!!! Connect to VN just fine, but can't RDP/SSH. THIS IS NOT A FULL "SSL VPN" client needs to establish tunnel? 2 Starts until they add L3 support. |
[2011-08-06] John: Better than all the other ssl clients i installed |
[2011-08-04] brandon: L3 vpn L3 vpn finally works... if you have root access... |
[2011-08-04] Storyteller: YOU CANT VPN - Period. Would be useful for Salesforce web based apps. Otherwise, with no Network Connect option, you can't remote desktop to anything with this app. It's useless to me and the fruitless search continues... |
[2011-08-03] rmrfslashbin: No L3 = fail This app is useless to me without network support. I'm a Linux SysAdmin... I need to be able to connect to the VPN and then ssh directly to systems. |
[2011-07-30] FrancisT: Crashes all the time. |
[2011-07-29] David: RDP! L3 VPN, FINALLY! (You will need to download an rdp app to use it) |
[2011-07-29] William: Ugh no L3 Really..almost a year and we can't tunnel yet..? What's the point right now it's just an app layer slowing down the already present web interface. |
[2011-07-26] Timothy: No network connect. This app is completely useless. |
[2011-07-26] Prarry: No connection. May be Junos. May be the phone. |
[2011-07-26] Benjamin: Useless without network connect. IPhone version includes it. |
[2011-07-25] john: I will NOT give you that much access! |
[2011-07-23] Aaron: Awesome ... L3 VPN FINALLY! |
[2011-07-22] Kody: Fail Useless in it's current state. All it offers, I can already do via a web browser. C'mon Google and/or Juniper, you really cannot do what has been possible on ios for some time now? |
[2011-07-21] Kdracco: EVO 4G, rooted, No Layer 3 tunnel. I still cannot rdp like you lucky mofos. I told my coworker and he can vpn and rdp on his galaxy. |
[2011-07-20] Cathy1911: Thank you for adding Honeycomb support. |
[2011-07-20] Naipaul: App is recommend. This update seems to require way too much control for the required task, I am not providing such control without good reason. |
[2011-07-19] Peter: Now has layer 3 for root users. Don't like the lack of network connect? It's Google's fault that there is still no layer 3 vpn support for non-root. |
[2011-07-19] tekrytor: Works great on myTouch G4 running 2.2.1 OS. I can work wherever I am. |
[2011-07-19] Scot: Still no true vpn support. |
[2011-07-19] Josh: Still no honeycomb support The what's new section claims the app has Honeycomb support, but market is showing that it's not compatible with my XOOM :( |
[2011-07-19] mybecktum: Wow Layer3 enabled |
[2011-07-19] Nate: Full tunnel now They've added full L3 tunnel with the latest update, but only if your phone is rooted |
[2011-07-18] srini: No layer 3 support |
[2011-07-15] jamesdev: Still no layer 3 support (now available from other vendors), and a clumsy portal ui that is no better than regular browser access. |
[2011-07-12] Cougar: permissions? I never give so much permissions to any app! |
[2011-07-12] Kieron: Not yet compatible with Android 3.1 Honeycomb Not yet compatible with Android 3.1 Honeycomb running on my Asus Transformer which is needed for remote access to the work network from my tablet, not really that useful from my phone as too small!! |
[2011-07-11] David: Behind the curve While the portal capability is ok, its not much above what you can do with a browser. Without full SSL VPN capability this product is pretty much handicapped for enterprise users. Is it helpful? Yes but much more is needed such as the ability to integrate Pulse clients into the native Juniper VPN system profile groups. Otherwise this even with layer 3 VPN this will not be a full enterprise tool in my opinion. |
[2011-06-23] TheAlteredState: Would be nice if there were a VPN icon in the status bar so that you can see that you are connected to a VPN when not in the app |
[2011-06-15] Joshua Manring: Useless without network.connect. |
[2011-06-15] Stephen: Massive overkill on the permissions, uninstalling. |
[2011-06-06] falz: Works great at what it is supposed to do! I've tested this app on several different SSLVPN boxes and it works great. Use to access resources reachable via web bookmarks and it does a great job at this. It does not do network connect as everyone mentions. In my opinion Network Connect is a less useful thing for SSLVPN than the general bookmarks are so I have no complaints here. |
[2011-06-01] Dereck: Needs to support VPN on Android. VPN Work great on my IPAD |
[2011-05-30] tbellenger: Doesn't allow connecting to vpn for Rdp (or even web). Useless... |
[2011-05-30] liquidbreeze: Yes just sslvpn. Android does not support l3 via sslvpn yet, unlike ios. Expecting l3 support for sslvpn sometime soon. |
[2011-05-26] Kamran: Doesn't work with my nexus s. |
[2011-05-23] the 5/24/2011
[2011-05-21] masayang: it established an ssl vpn session with our juniper gateway, however, there is no tun interface created. useless. |
[2011-05-19] Christoph: Useless without network connect. URLs dont even dana. |
[2011-04-29] Michael: No Xoom support? Will download when Android tablets are supported. |
[2011-04-27] akerintr: not support ipsec |
[2011-04-22] THM: Only does SSL VPNs, not IPSEC (like their firewalls support). Ok if you have their SSL VPN device and licenses. Not so useful otherwise. Removing.. |
[2011-04-19] Christopher: Would be a 5 star if it had "network connect". |
[2011-04-15] Dwayne: With actual VPN (i.e. Network Connect) this would be five stars! |
[2011-04-13] MayyasE: Its connect to vpn. But nothing to do like rdp or access to our intranet |
[2011-04-10] Ben: No vpn rdp :( |
[2011-04-05] the 4/8/2011 : Useless app. No vpn. |
[2011-04-02] Paul: Same issue as the rest...useless without L3 NC. Works on iPhone, Ipad, but not Android. Epic failure in my book. |
[2011-03-30] Diana: No network connect feature...which is really usefull...waiting for it!!! |
[2011-03-24] Chettawan: I know you guys can make it. Will leave this app on my phone for alert me when network connect version release. |
[2011-03-18] Chris: Awesome, cert auth works great with secureauth! Hope 2 factor is coming soon like pulse on iOS! |
[2011-03-16] tarekahf: Slow and need to have network connect. |
[2011-03-11] Paul: this software is pointless. There is no SLL VPN just web proxing which fails more than half the time. As a juniper ssl vpn admin Im quite disappointed |
[2011-03-10] Andre: No VPN, no use to me without it. |
[2011-03-05] Brandon: No VPN. VPN was the whole reason I needed the app. |
[2011-03-01] Sean M: Buggy Slow Stinks |
[2011-03-01] ram: Doesn't have network connect. Not much useful - moto defy |
[2011-02-28] ArchieWinter: NC won't be available until there is an API for it on the Android OS, allegedly coming with 3.0 |
[2010-12-10] Tristan: VPN. Please? I manage a network infrastructure and use of our vpn while on the road would be wonderful. |
[2010-12-09] John O: One star until it supports L3 SSL VPN. NC. |
