Joooid в Android Market

Joooid is an Android client for Joomla: it has been created to manage and publish content in your Joomla installation.

Note : this application require a component/plugin installed on your Joomla site, see http://www.joooid.com/index.php/getting-started, you can test the app without a Joomla installation with the demo account already present in the site manager.

Create or edit articles with Article Editor, you can change title, alias, category, status, access level, frontpage and you can also schedule publishing. Create content with the WYSIWYG with html markup and links, in full screen!

Add images and galleries using pictures from your sdcard. Add youtube videos simply copying the video url in the youtube layout or share images and videos with Joooid directly from Image Gallery or Youtube App.

Geotag your articles, embed maps with your current position using GPS/Network or set the map coordinates with the handy map picker. You can also share a location to Joooid directly from Google Maps application.

Use the article manager that allows to browse, preview, edit, edit local copies, publish or trash articles and an utility that uploads files from the Android device directly into your Joomla website.

V1.2 is a bust on my Atrix First of all, I have been loving this app! I've used different versions across three different devices. The only real problem that I have had to this point was the GPS hanging on close of the app. V1.2 however just isn't working on my Atrix. The category field is blank except for "Uncategorized". There appears to be a list there, but I can't read what each is. Now, Each time I click on settings I get the force close or report option. So at the moment, this app is a no go for me on Atrix.

needs work for tablets States tablet supported, yes it works but only in portrait mode. Kind of difficult to use on my Transformer Prime when docked on my keyboard! So I would say not really supported more that it runs only in portrait. I will be waiting for a better tablet version, even be willing to use a paid version if it has full tablet support. Joomla Admin Mobile has landscape mode!

Not working for me (Joomla 2.5) Well, I really tried. Version 1.4 and 2.0rc1 return a 404,403 or can't parse the response. The odd time I was able to connect, I didn't see any categories. Shame!

Security issue...?!?!? Generally spoken, for the testing I did with this app, it worked pretty well. However, about 3-4 weeks after I started testing this app, both websites on which I tested this app on got hacked and blacklisted for phishing content. I don't have any actual prove that the app facilitate that, but the following facts sure are pointing to it: - I've been running 6 websites for over 6+ years now and NEVER had any security issues - Only the 2 websites on which I used this app on got hacked. - These two websites got hacked and phishing content was placed on them within 3-4 weeks after I started using this app > AFTER NOT HAVING HAD ANY SUCH ISSUES FOR 6+ YEARS BEFORE TESTING THIS APP. I will certainly not use this app ever again.

Works as intended Will review 5 stars once it supports video. I impressed the hell out of a client that was insisting that joomla was difficult to blog in (something his idiot nephew no doubt seeded in his mind) when I whipped out my Android, took a picture of his bewildered face, dictated text and posted the whole thing to my test site within a few seconds. If you don't have A.D.D., instructions are easy to understand and implement.

One small issue I do have is that if you have set up your site with search engine friendly urls and then attempt to preview articles on your droid, as it uses the default joomla links you will end up with a 404 error when it opens your browser to show you the page. hopefully this will be fixed in an update.

Thank You very much I've used this app for while now and must say I use it often. I've found it a perfect way to share mobile photos on my site as well as edit existing articles. The only problem I have had with all versions across two devices is when I exit the app, the GPS continues to function. I've been solving this by using a Task manager to totally kill the app. That is my only complaint! Great work and thank you so much! I very much appreciate your efforts Stefano!
