[2013-08-02] A Google User: Swipe down to sync like gmail would be kinda cool. |
[2013-08-02] A Google User: Incredibly useful The gift that keeps on giving. Great further development over the years that I've had the app. Very useful voice reader function |
[2013-08-01] A Google User: Recent problems with article layup Within the last month or so I have noticed strange behaviour when reading articles within gReader using "open link". Quite often when I scroll through the article, the layup of the article suddenly changes to something more elementary with all pictures reduced in size. The article automatically scrolls back to the top so I have to find my place. Because the layup has changed, this |
[2013-07-31] A Google User: Very bad offline cache... Makes separate folder for every little thing... you will be left with a severely fragmented sdcard with 1000's of folders and subfolders...need to seriously improve the primitive method of offline storage they are currently using...what's the point of clearing cache when it will build up again? It's the caching method that needs fixing rather than the user constantly having to clear cache... |
[2013-07-31] A Google User: Wonderful Great news reader with plenty of options to accommodate... |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: Smooth scroll Better than feedly. Thank you |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: Best one I've found Minor problems with offline support, simplified mode and images. Sometimes read articles don't sync and I end up reading the same stuff twice |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: Excellent but cache storage problem Great reader, coordinates with feedly well. SD card storage (on Samsung Note 2) does not work-bloats up main storage quickly, so can't use cache as I would like. |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: The only news reader that works I tried, and bought, the most popular readers. I thought this one was way too expensive. That would be true if the others worked. One only has "looks" and features jerky scrolling, lack of basic features and is definitely over priced. Another has a terrible"magazine" mode. Sometimes there are images, other times not, and it also has jerky scrolling. All of the free readers had horrible jerky scrolling on my LG Motion. This one is flawless. The mobilizer is amazing too. Buy this, the others don't compare. |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: Configuration unbearably complex |
[2013-07-29] A Google User: Moving on I wish you could just allow opml import or add directly without having to join any third party services. Podcasts doesn't work with TOR, and feedly is making money tracking people. |
[2013-07-29] A Google User: Paid for a service that is being closed I paid for this app two days ago and now I find miself unable to use it because The Old Reader is going private. I only hope that you support more readers than Feedly (unusable for me), like SilverReader, so my 4$ are not just trashed. |
[2013-07-27] A Google User: good reader Very useful. Keep on upgrading, and regret on user experience. |
[2013-07-27] A Google User: Sweet reader! |
[2013-07-26] A Google User: Works great Even better than google reader.. |
[2013-07-26] A Google User: Getting better Update: the app is much better now Still not as fast and simple as original reader but it's improving a lot thanks devs. 5 stars for more simplicity. Update 2: the app is getting more attention from devs, five stars hand down. |
[2013-07-26] A Google User: Perfect Fits my needs perfectly. |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Not bad Not very flashy which I like. Gets the job done unobtrusively. |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Upgraded to pro version Have been very satisfied with this reader. Used the free version for almost 2 years but went for the pro recently as it is my favourite app on android. |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Very Good I can not say anything bad about it. Nice UI, podcast management almost perfect. The transition from google reader to feedly, although with some problems, was quite fast and the developers solved the problems fast. |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Minimalistic and the best |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: My Go-To RSS Reader Together with The Old Reader This was my app of choice when using Google Reader and continues to be my app of choice now with The Old Reader. Easy to use and hugely effective in helping me stay abreast of the latest news updates. |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Great app. Nice interface, efficient reading. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: NewsRob Pro was my favorite, but I'm quickly coming to like this reader just as much |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Very similar to the old Google reader app |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Nice interface |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: FINALLY! Has everything a reader should have. Happy to reward the designers with my five bucks. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: The best Best Android reader out there. Works wonderfully with Feedly. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Dynamite Been my go-to for many years now. Can't be beat. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Data parse error Unable to copy and paste a web address into the search engine. Keeps displaying" data parse error". Doesn't return many search results anymore. Just a page worth isn't much. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: ace great app |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Great simple feed reader! |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Great functionality and a clean GUI ... plus Feedly integration. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Pages Loading... Some pages stuck loading. Reload doesn't work generally. I have to use "show in browser" at this situation. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Excellent |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Feedly tags just fixed |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Excellent but needs more feed sources Love this app but I will start using it again once it gets feed bin support. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Amazing RSS reader I held strong to gReader during the transition between Google Reader and Feedly, and while it was bumpy, I refused to use another app. Now it's just as awesome as it was. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Great app! This is awesome and great updates |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Don't bother with this non-reader |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Super věc Doporučuji fakt dobra čtečka :-) i teď s feedly furt dobrý. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Best reader IMO Just works, clean UI, good offline support, sensible options. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Lovin' it. Worked great with Google Reader and now with Feedly on an Android phone and two tablets. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Good, but does not suit my user behavior I had written quite an elaborate review which I lost when I clicked Back one too many times... So I'll just say that this app is decently bug-free, but definitely doesn't have the wealth of functionality and ease-of-use I'd expect from a Pro version. |
[2013-07-21] A Google User: Functionality over flash makes this one a winner. |
[2013-07-20] A Google User: Good but Minor bugs like feed image failing to load, cache not synching, etc are very annoying, especially when other readers just work. |
[2013-07-20] A Google User: Really sweet guys !!! |
[2013-07-19] A Google User: Shame. Think before you pay lazy android devs. You should all see now how things are done on Android. We got this reader with 2 services supported in a 7$ app, while its developer is making yet another app to sell with other services. It's fun though users help him make that app work! Read forums, it's freaking hilarious. Then we got some other crappy readers with limited choice of services supported. Then look at iOS. Mr.Reader, for example, supports a shitload of 6 (six!) services and is asking for 4$ (four) bucks for it! Then it has beautiful design (yet this app I review looks like crap comparing to aforementioned Mr.Reader), even SOUNDS. Not to mention there are other apps on iOS with comparable features and just as good in every way. Still we call iOS users iSheep. Wonder who is really the sheep after all? |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: Offline notifications Awesome app, but offline notifications are irritating; I don't get connection everywhere. |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: No more podcasts Podcast player is not available anymore, why??? Podcasts cannot be played, no playback button. |
[2013-07-17] A Google User: Best reader app Great layout |
[2013-07-16] A Google User: My information utopia. This app was my favorite and most used app when we still had Google Reader. When things got shaken up I tried every alternative. None of them gave me what I had before. I settled on feedly because of the desktop and app support. I was a huge fan of The Old Reader, but there was no app. By adding TOR support, gReader has remained it's throne. Especially love the one click Pocket save and Instapaper reading mode. |
[2013-07-15] A Google User: The Best I am big news hound..I have tried them all..this is the one app that truly combines the best of Google Reader with Feedly. Great work! |
[2013-07-14] A Google User: Good reader which does all I need smoothly. |
[2013-07-14] A Google User: frustrating and not very useful I've been using this reader for years. It used to be a reasonably functional RSS reader, and I used to give it fairly high marks. Unfortunately, the world has changed and this reader hasn't changed with it. RSS feeds these days mostly contain teasers or snippets, so preloading, reformatting, and caching of the actual article content is essential. gReader fails to do that reliably. While it provides a large number of options for customizing feed reading, for many feeds, no combination will work reliably. Misformatted pages, "gateway errors", and even blank pages are frequent. Trying to find a combination that works is made even more frustrating by the cumbersome user interface that requires several steps to change feed options, the confusing and large set of per-feed options, and the lack of immediate feedback when changing feed reading options. An RSS reader should give me a quick overview of headlines and then let me read the target articles quickly, reliably, and without constant fiddling. gReader can't do that for many feeds, and it ends up being an exercise in frustration. |
[2013-07-14] A Google User: Love it! Too much to love, not enough space to write it all. Simple. One touch switch between Web and feed versions. Inverse (dark theme) feeds AND Web pages. Dev cares. Work of art getting better and better! :-) Samsung unrooted Galaxy IIIs |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: The. Best. Ever. Google can suck it, greader has us covered with whatever alternative services tomorrow may necessitate |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: Great A great reader and perfect to replace Google Reader. |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: Extremely supported app This is a Great app. And on top of it, developers are always improving its functionality, and the fact that even after google reader is closed and it kept working with a great alternative as feedly just makes it superb. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Very nice app. There is no way to choose readability mobilizer to open article. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Very nice. The free version is pretty good, but the additional features of pro make it worth the purchase. Handles content better than free version. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Perfect I've been using this for a couple of years, and loved it. Was extra-impressed when they were able to make the transition to feedly cloud so seamlessly. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Easily The Best Simply great. Worth paying for. Now that Google Reader is gone shouldn't you guys change the name of your app? |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: I don't even miss google reader This app was excellent with Google reader, but I was afraid of what would happen with the demise of reader. I shouldn't have worried. Using Feedly as the back end and greader pro, my rss reading experience hasn't changed at all. Great work. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Love the new double tab feature Definately worth the money I paid for. I appreciate the dev's effort to make this truly one of the best RSS reader in Play Store. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: One reader to rule them all It works. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: It not working It not working |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Better than feedly Better even than the web version of feedly in my opinion. Wish there was a web version of greader (is there?) |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Greader made me ditch feedly I was really excited to see greader isnt shutting down due to google reader's shut down. Didn't like the "too" modern look of Feedly, thought I have to rely on it. Fortunately, greader supports feedly syncing. This is the most google reader like rss reader. Simple and elegant. Nothing to be complaint about really. |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Thank heavens I can stop using that Feedly Reader |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: One of the best RSS readers The best RSS reader I have found, and I have tried them all. Does a great job viewing your feeds and articles. If you are switching from Google's Reader to feedly this should be the only app you look at. |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Feedly Won't sync with feedly as of today was working perfectly yesterday |
[2013-07-10] A Google User: Very good Thanks for updating feedly after reader shutdown. |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: Add high-contrast theme? Thanks for adding support for more back-end services. Would it be possible to add a high-contrast black-text white-background theme? The greys don't show up as well on some displays and in some conditions. |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: no frills but solid as could be greader isn't particularly fancy but it works consistently unlike another top rss reader. it has never failed me and I plan on sticking with it for the duration |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: First class reader The differences between the paid PRO and the free version are small, but why not support the development of this excellent RSS reader. This is a must-have app. Highly recommended! UPDATE 2013: It works perfectly after Google stopped their support of their newsfeed! I use the Feedly feed, but don't like the Feedly Reader. |
[2013-07-08] A Google User: Jay Great app |
[2013-07-07] A Google User: Indispensable app. Can't live without it. Easily the app I spend the most time in. Even better with the Feedly integration. Worth the money! The best part is that its built-in browser appears to be the only browser on Android I've seen that allows me to read HTML img title attributes. |
[2013-07-07] A Google User: Such a relief To have an android RSS client that agrees with my tastes. |
[2013-07-07] A Google User: Excelent reader |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Fixed All the problems I had were with instapaper. Turned it off, all its good with the world again |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Yay! I'm not good at writing reviews, but this app is great! |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Crap After going through the Feedly website to subscribe to all my feeds, the app works as well as it did with Google Reader. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Go to RSS reader Probably my most used application. Clean, easy to use interface. Well supported by the Dev. Few if any bugs left. It just works and works well. Feared the Google Reader to Feedly transition but it went off without a hitch. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Awesome Was totally worth paying for, like having Google reader back |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Still working brilliantly Use Feedly as service. This app works brilliantly. Worth every cents. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Perfect front end to feedly Feedly's own app is a little... odd. While it looks pretty the UI choices seem to favour form over use. gReader on the other hand gets it right. It looks good without letting that get in the way of its intended purpose. Well worth the price if you want something that works and works well. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Easy transition to feedly Good job |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Meh Was great until I started getting an error and no updates. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Simply the best. Yes, this is by far the best feed reader there is but it's not perfect. Some feeds don't display correctly instead you get a screen of 'garbage' characters, photos don't always appear in articles and the widget is slow to update. There's no option to unsubscribe from feeds and the app could integrate with your podcast catcher. This is the best front end to Feebly even with all the bugs. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Great app. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Htc Why there is no delete for asingle subject by pressing subject menu |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Good reader - widget might use some improvements The app is great and it successfully replaces the Google Reader app. But I would like to see a better widget, meaning a bright, solid color on the background of the widget and differentiated displaying of read and unread articles (with shadows or colors). Thanks! |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: It works. I'm using gReader Pro to pull through Feedly. It's not exact, but close enough to reader, and offers a lot of customization options for the GUI. However, I do wish it had an option to go straight to my feeds and bypass the left screen "preview" pane. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Best RSS reader Vast number of features, organizing and support. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Still one of the better readers... especially for feeds that are better displayed as the original web page. |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: Almost perfect Best rss reader. Helpful developers. |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: TOR shared support Add support for TheOldReader's "share" and for following other people in TOR, and this app will be the perfect companion for TOR. |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: A+ excellent developer.. fixed the issue in no time |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: simply the best |
