[2011-12-02] Zacc: Cache a local copy of these docs on the friggin phone would ya? I have to walk around like an idiot looking for signal to open a text file. |
[2011-12-02] cartguy2: Very handy |
[2011-12-02] Kitty: Works really well but huge file. Can you please have it moved to SD? EVO 4G |
[2011-12-02] Hadi: ... Needs the editing capabilities of the desktop version. Think an office suite with an integrated Gdocs experience, so we can actually stream edit. |
[2011-12-01] Casey: Rules. Been waiting for this one. Have had no problems. Synced multiple work/personal docs. Editing works well enough. It's FREE. |
[2011-12-01] Cochise: Lacking... I really tried to like this, but there's other apps that runs circles around this one... |
[2011-12-01] Enrico: Sucks. Loop when try to open a rtf document. Waste my time. |
[2011-12-01] roger: say hello to your new "big brother" G! Say goodbye to your private life! |
[2011-12-01] bluekitten: Fine for quick spreadsheet additions I'm just plugging in a little data on the go. It worked as expected, and it's nice to have access from anywhere. |
[2011-12-01] Q: #fail An app exclusively for americans. When the phone and spreadsheet are set to British date format, DD/MM/YY the app forces confusion by changing it. |
[2011-12-01] JacJavJac: Would nice to be able to preview a document on the widget! |
[2011-11-30] Anonymous: Absolutely sucks! Google Docs is limited only to plain text formatting! No bold text, no italics, no change of font size, etc. Wtf? Use QuickOffice: it syncs with Docs. |
[2011-11-30] Bradley: Works great on xoom Does everything I need it to. |
[2011-11-30] truello: Needs better editing functionality |
[2011-11-30] Mikhail E: Can't zooming new Text documents This app can't zoom new version of Documents while zooms documents created in old version format. It's not comfortable in small screens. |
[2011-11-30] the 11/30/2011 Ok but need better edditing functionality Very difficult edditing for text documents. Browser version is much much easier to use. |
[2011-11-30] Scott: Llove Love |
[2011-11-30] bram1028: Left it running for 10 minutes, never stopped syncing or loaded any files. |
[2011-11-30] Chang: You can do a lot better than this :) Pls, Google, you can do a lot better than this. Let's do it :) |
[2011-11-29] Sherri: My docs are always available, but updating my excel doc on my phone was a challenge & I got frustrated & decided to wait for the computer. |
[2011-11-29] Matt: Would be great, if it would work. Unfortunately, every time I try to advance a page while viewing a PDF, the app crashes. This makes it more or less useless to me. |
[2011-11-29] Beanie: Very useful Great app for viewing documents. I like it best for monitoring documents I am collaborating on with a group. I can even view presentations I created. |
[2011-11-29] Vina: ehhhh its ok |
[2011-11-29] Mad_Man_Moon: Terrible Terrible I won't get into the AS card thing as I don't really understand, but this is a useless application. The 'documents' section is a plain text notepad, and a bit of a silly one at that (two layers deep before you can start typing). The 'spreadsheets' section is laughably simple, and patently unusable (I actually couldn't find a way to added columns easily). I just didn't even bother with the presentation bit. Save your time; find a wifi signal and edit online with a desktop user agent setting on your browser. |
[2011-11-29] Lyle: Excellent for accessing documents you have stored in your google docs. |
[2011-11-29] Black, The Business: Exactly what I expected for accessing my Google docs. Perfect. |
[2011-11-29] Alex: Your SoC intern got it rolling, time to pay for some developer time Can't download an image file from docs into Gallery? Maybe I'm just a power user. |
[2011-11-29] John: Very good. Motorola Atrix 4g |
[2011-11-29] will: Cant configure for different accounts I already have a google account that I cant link to the phone account. Need a way to hook this app to that account and the hundreds of docs there. |
[2011-11-28] Juliet: Interface works in HTC, quite poorly and is ugly as hell. I prefer using docs to go to access Google docs instead. Juggad, go troll elsewhere. |
[2011-11-28] Rahul: 0% good, 100% bad- Can't change font. Can't underline or bold font. Sometimes can't find my documents because of some "server error" that happens everyday. Horrible. |
[2011-11-28] Ali: So so No offline option |
[2011-11-28] Pham: Very good Very good app |
[2011-11-28] bassist_guy: Awesome! Google docs is great even without this app, but this is icing on the cake. It is really handy to check and update and share information. |
[2011-11-28] Miles: Web based app Theme needs updating for ics, but my main problem is that it edits in the mobile web page. It's really tacky. Nothing on iOS' pages. |
[2011-11-28] Nathan: Half lovely Whilst the document navigation UI is lovely, having all the editing features appear in a webview and being reliant on being online is a real shame; preventing any proper offline work and completely changing the UI paradigm once you move into an individual document. |
[2011-11-27] Vu: Eye candy. Looks clean enough for me. For now, I only having viewing needs so it should suffice. |
[2011-11-27] Neil: What happened to sort-by-title? The Oct 6 upgrade removed the ability to sort document names by title. Really? That's a basic from the 1980's. Please put it back! We were using this for meetings, but can't now. |
[2011-11-27] TiagoAlmeida: Slow HTC desire. Very slow for editing. Good for reading |
[2011-11-27] peihao: collections unable to create collections using apps version |
[2011-11-27] Artom: Artom This is a really nice app it works perfacly other than the fact that you cant pick your own font and size |
[2011-11-27] V.: Way to go google First let me say I'm buying more shares of Google. Google Docs is an amazing tool for sharing real time and the best part its stored in your mail. |
[2011-11-27] jules: Spreadsheets don't display properly. 0 functionality. Existing spreadsheets show no content. New spreadsheets do not show newly entered data in the cells. Completely useless. |
[2011-11-27] Keef: terrible! Great interface on the tablet to get to the documents, but the editors are using the browser. The browser part is where this app is let down. Frustrating to even type a short list, this is a good idea let down by the execution. |
[2011-11-27] Anonymous: spreadsheets are useless clunky and counterintuitive. spreadsheets look like something out of a 1990s website, not an android app--certainly not one by google itself. |
[2011-11-27] Jugaad: :) . Amazing .. James buy a real phone please ...im sick of reviewers like you.... |
[2011-11-26] Johan: Great I love this app. Very useful. Droid Charge. |
[2011-11-26] Diane: Font Changes This app doesn't let me set font color showing my edits to docs. Galaxy S II Epic 4g |
[2011-11-26] VoltVisionFrenchy: Quirky & Unstable Editing presentations was a joke. This app is a wasteof time. Wouldnt let me move a text box, wouldnt let me resize a text box, very poor. It also crashed the first time i used it. |
[2011-11-25] gadlor: web version better overall Editing definitely needs some work. Layout is kind of ugly as well. Agree with other commenters - the web version is definitely better. |
[2011-11-25] Warren: No download option? Would be improved if it allowed you to download and save files to your Android device. |
[2011-11-25] Juan: Frustrating Takes forever to open a doc, editing is clumsy, just doesn't flow well |
[2011-11-25] Kelaine: Editing clumsy Editing sentences appear as fields..very awkward and time consuming to use web site is awesome. App not so much. |
[2011-11-25] Matt: Weak Weak Google, I have such higher expectations. how could you release this in your name? I will give some credit for the camera to document feature. |
[2011-11-25] Oliver: Could be awesome. Too clunky. Come on google, where's your A game? |
[2011-11-25] Hetal: Can't even move to sd card. Bad. Google needs to update this soon. |
[2011-11-25] Kelly Tubridy: Limited functionality does this app no service I am a huge Google Docs fan, but this app just doesn't do it justice. It's fine for viewing documents, but the editing capabilities are so limited it's hardly even worth downloading. |
[2011-11-25] Trevor: Eh. Mobile version sinks Wish it did not rely on network to open. Evernote is better, for mobile use. |
[2011-11-24] Andreas: When opening docs it just hangs. This has been the case for every version since release - motorola defy. Still the same with current version |
[2011-11-24] tom: Great Love the app easy to use able to edit on phone is great |
[2011-11-24] huck: Better than nothing Unstable - closes on heavy documents. Pathetic UI, very limited features. Actually you just can open and view documents from your Docs. |
[2011-11-24] Ruslan_SM: Yeap. Better then nothing. |
[2011-11-24] Dan: Very nice Very nice and easy to use, Syncing work files between a range of devices has never been easier. More options for phones though, like create folder... |
[2011-11-24] Ozzy OG Kush: Good app but it won't uninstall and I need the space |
[2011-11-24] Jon: Barely useable. Ok for viewing, but editing is buggy and incredibly frustrating. Web version is better. |
[2011-11-23] Tim: Downloaded for spreadhseets..created one followed by frustrations. I could see this being useful for sharing docs but that's about it until interface is improved. |
[2011-11-23] Alex: Can't edit Can't edit document in my nexus s |
[2011-11-23] DannyDPX: phone UI on Galaxy Tab 7 plus (honeycomb) on my galaxy tab 7 plus, the tablet UI never gets used, looks pretty shoddy to me |
[2011-11-23] Patrick: Destroyed my document Don't use this to edit : it destroyed my document. |
[2011-11-23] Dean: Glitchy, garbage Evernote absolutely destroys this for word documents. If Hopelessly embarrassing. |
[2011-11-23] indeo: Suck |
[2011-11-22] Nitin: Super! |
[2011-11-22] Jojola: Great |
[2011-11-22] Jokerhen: Copy entire doc? How can you copy the entire document? |
[2011-11-22] jaswinder: Practical EXCELLENT. |
[2011-11-22] Joel: I wanted to edit spreadsheets, this looks like a good app until you create a spreadsheet, then it is just a horribly made website that edits the sshee |
[2011-11-22] Kasper: Please add a download feature. Batch select files and folders and then 'download selected'. Overall usability could use boost as well. |
[2011-11-22] Rex: Quite good It is impractical / awful experience in editing spreadsheet document. Was expecting more from google. SGS2 |
[2011-11-22] Terrell: Google Cloud Print I am unable to find the Google Cloud Print facility that Google Docs claims to be available . Either it is missing or badly lost somewhere in the UI.. |
[2011-11-22] Will: Very handy for me |
[2011-11-22] AJ: Terrible This app is practically useless, viewing documents is the only reason to use this app. creating docs is a pain in the neck. Barely passable as a note taker. Font is way too small. Looks terrible on motorola Xoom. |
[2011-11-22] Su Won: Save as. Doesn't have option to save as a file, such as docx or html. I really need html option |
[2011-11-22] Tom: I love it I can always get my docs |
[2011-11-22] Arielle: Good •_______• Whale |
[2011-11-22] GiFi: Still needs a bit of work - I'd like to be able to download images I put on gdoc on my phone - I get the connectivity error a lot even on wifi |
[2011-11-21] Xavier: Nice start... Make it an app2SD and I'll give it 5 stars. |
[2011-11-21] Bill: Why?? Still no save gEmail attachment right to docs?? Still no Email as attachment?? |
[2011-11-21] kevo: Pretty good. Good part is sharing docs, although other users need google accounts to share with. The excel editor on this app sucks |
[2011-11-21] Darius: wud be awesome if Excel editing didnt suck horribly |
[2011-11-21] Cian: Flakey, unreliable. Infuriating to use...seldom opens docs, no offline cache is ridiculous. Why always authentication errors?Really poor devs on this project... |
[2011-11-21] Mikael: Wow how pointless Everything looks great but editing spreadsheets is dreadful. A 15 year journey back in spreadsheet editing time. Expected way more from google. |
[2011-11-21] Acitta: Refuses to sync I can't get this program to sync. It cannot access any of my documents. Perhaps it has something to do with 2-factor authentication, but there is no password field specific to this program, so I cannot create an application-specific password for it. |
[2011-11-21] Opie: Great app Works great for what I need it to do. I'm no tech wiz, but its simple enough for an app. |
[2011-11-20] Ben: Awesomeness |
[2011-11-20] Jo: Useless, can't get anywhere. Won't even open my list of documents, let alone any documents. Completely useless. |
[2011-11-20] bikerbob: Looks good wish it worked ... This app messed up my Google Documents. I has lots of duplicates and a note I had never seen before. I uninstalled cleaned up my GDs using my desktop. After reinstall on the tablet it seemed to know about my notes (My view is that this should have been clean.) but I could not remove notes it still thought should be there but were removed on cleanup. It seems to take a long time to sync. Finally NO SORT button!!! |
[2011-11-20] Dino: Things I wish it had. Wish I could download my files from it. Pointless when no internet. Also It would be great if we could just link/shortcut to one doc. |
[2011-11-20] Thinus: Internet reliance I wish this app was much less reliant on the Internet, and specifically the browser. Offline storage and sync would be awesome. |
[2011-11-20] Thomas: Shame Menus etc are fluid and remarkable as you expect from Google, but the document editting is a huge pain, slow, featureless and browser based, shame :( |
