It provides a business class user experience that allows employees to get business done on-the-go. From a single application, employees can access corporate email, calendar, Intranets, documents, an enterprise app catalog and more. It also integrates device (MDM) and application management (MAM) capabilities, giving IT complete visibility and control of the mobile deployment.
For employees, Good for Enterprise lets you work when and where you need to. Get more done with mobile access to critical business applications and information. Because Good for Enterprise cleanly separates personal and business data, your personal content stays private. You can freely use native device features and personal apps while complying with corporate security requirements.
For corporate IT, Good for Enterprise protects corporate data in motion, in use and at rest on Android devices using government grade encryption. With a unique container-based approach, it allows IT to set granular security policies at the application level, such as strong password requirements and control of data sharing with other apps or cloud-based services. IT can also remote wipe or lock corporate data while preserving personal information.

[2013-01-25] A Google User: terrible app I wanted to give 0 stars for this terrible app. Hangs all the time..have to reinstall each time it hangs! but i have no other choice for my company emails..pathetic |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Un-finished product Many bugs and the text is too big when opening emails, when try to zoom out it is very tricky and crashes a lot during zoom out |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Cannot install Package file is invalid every time :( |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Barely Usable Yes, corporate has installed correctly. Yes, I've had to use Good for last 18 months. Yes, it keeps getting incrementally better, like a sharper drill makes a root canal a bit less painful. It's usable, but there are too many really smart people in the world for this to be the best solution. Buggy. Clunky. No tablet-optimized version. LTE Moto M on 4.1... |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Aggravating... The worst part of this app is that it takes up a TON of space wo the option to move to SD card, making my personal phone less useable. Icon constantly on my status bar whether or not I have new emails. If I didn't HAVE to use it for work, I wouldn't! Please guys, fix the SD thing & that would improve this app immensly! Thanks :) |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Acceptable if Required by Company Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.1.1) This is the 3rd time I've installed Good and tested it for my company. It has gotten better over time so I won't go over past failings. It has become a little more robust with options and no longer forces you into syncing things you don't want like contacts and calendar. They've also added the ability for separate notifications on high priority emails which is a deal breaker for someone who gets hundreds of automated emails per day. Here are the remaining issues that I've found so far: 1. Battery life is still awful. Basically halves what my normal usage is. 2. Does not sync all email. Addresses not in company directory (SystemName@company.com) do not show up in Good even though I'm looking at them in my Inbox right now. 3. Secure browser doesn't work on most (any?) Android phones. 4. Verizon requires a $15/month feature to use Good. No other carrier requires this for activation so beware! Other email apps I've testing that tie me into corporate email are somehow able to get around this. |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Can't fully disable notifications Needs lots of enhancements. Too many to list here. Biggest issue is you can't disable notification bar alerts. |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Pathetic application The application hangs and does not function after this. Have to uninstall and reinstall to keep my mails going on samsung galaxy s advance. Have no alternate else would never use it. Further application cannot be moved to sd card |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: i can't access to the app after the update, i am using galaxy note 1 please solve it asap. |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Worst app If not my corporate forcing me to use it. I will stay away from this app forever ! |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Poor speed and aplication hang often. Agenda location info almost hidden. File attachment take forever. |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Inconvenient I have used many Exchange servers over the years and this is the worst. First of all the setup took me 8 to 10 hours of back and forth between Verizon Wireless, good, and my IT department. Secondly is extremely limited and features and handicapped in functionality. Choose anything else but this for your company. |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Good, is not!! Our company have been using Good for several years and still!, the software is junk. Constantly having issues connecting/sending/receiving. The software can be counted on to fail, and to fail regularly! Previously used it on an HTC device, currently on a Samsung. People with iOS also complain all the time. |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Battery Drain The battery drain is terrible. 10% an hour. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Not upgrading. I'm sticking with v1.9.1.220 Read too many issues with newer updates here. There really should be an easy way to downgrade. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Good for nothing So poor it's name is ironic! Haven't been able to get any emails since November so one star is for security!! Work paying for this crap but using internet browser to open emails, which is free!?! |
[2013-01-17] A Google User: Failure to sync across all applications I fimd that the limited support that Good offers for other applications such as Goggles stock calendar is horrible. Please create alternatives to make good integratable with stock apps. |
[2013-01-17] A Google User: Behind the Curve Its OK for mobile email; some UI niggles on that side but nothing terrible. For calendaring, the UI is abysmal; no week/5-day view and finding free slots is painful. There's no differentiation between tablet and phone UIs. Browser performance is also painfully slow. It is clearly based on a port from iOS. Really, this is not good enough - it is ignoring 50% of the user base. Oh, and iToy users get Tasks while Android doesn't? Why!? Good need to up their game for Android users or risk losing out to other, more flexible competitors. |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Good |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Works The concept is great, the device remains unlocked to use as you want and you still have access to work email and calendar. The blackberry I had befoe my S3 was locked down to a huge degree by an IT policy. The android version works much better than the iPhone version, which has real problems with persistence. Not as good integration as blackberry but not bad, I'd like to see access to your notes for example. The secure browser which sounds like a great idea is non-existant, where's that? |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Needs updated Application needs updated to meet new Google guidelines for the menu key. Please update application to include a software menu key for devices running android 4.0 and later. |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Slow development Very long delay in the development of the JellyBean update which hinders the use of the internal internet browser |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Good app but can be improved Search feature missing. |
[2013-01-14] A Google User: This sucks Android 4.1 users are left in the dark...build a WebKit that works with future versions of android.. This app is terrible compared to iOS. |
[2013-01-12] A Google User: Won't work after android firmware upgrade?? Had an Android firmware upgrade on 10 Jan now GFE no longer works. Android 4.1.2 |
[2013-01-12] A Google User: Battery killer Cm10 |
[2013-01-11] A Google User: Big Power Drain/Recent Crashes I agree with other users that even when application is not active, it's a big power drain. Only way to resolve is to work offline. Haven't been able to load the app since 1/10 without crashing after login screen. Very disappointed... |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Setup complete d |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Really poor execution I am an administrator and deployed this on to my handset. I think that this software is great for the I phone given the limitations of ios but on Android Market it is absolute shite.... It's a plain rip off from the ios version icons do not line up on higher resolution phones. It's worse than many mail apps out there namiley touchdown things like searching for email then deleting it can not be done on this app please make it better. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Gets the job done! |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Unreliable Syncing works on average one week out of 4. Terrible... |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Not working It crashes as soon as i launch it. It doesn't seem to be working correctly for me. I will adjust my rating when this gets corrected for me. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Good, could be better... When I first installed this application to synch with my work email, it allowed me to swype in my password. The newer version doesn't and due to regulations I have to manually key this in multiple times each day. Please bring back the swype feature for password! Otherwise the app works great... |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Badly designed The worst interface ever.. they need really good developers to bring it on.. its a very useful app but in vain due to tons of bugs. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Battery juice drinker Major power drain when not in offline mode. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Poor Poor app |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Notifications Please can you allow users to turn off the audible alert. This should be a basic function of any app to allow it be be run silently. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Well this isn't too intrus*buzz* For what it does I'm fine with the interface. It's doesn't wow me, but it is functional and not too cluttered so no complaints. It does need to sort out the notifications, hence the low rating. 1. It doesn't respect the no vibrate on e-mail option. I have this unchecked and it still vibrates on EVERY EMAIL 2. There are far too many notifications. Given the persistent mode keeps a notification present that I can't dismiss, this should be re-used to then report new e-mail / calendar notifications. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Fab No problems |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: NA Please add copy paste feat |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: worked until 4.2 This app worked somewhat successfully until I upgraded my GNex to CM 10.1. I've used this app consistently up to now with custom ROMs, so that's not the issue. Maybe the issue is related to Android 4.2? I'll raise my review to four stars if/when I can access the app again. I've emailed the dev using the Play Store link, but the auto-generated email doesn't lead me to believe the inbox is monitored. Back when it was working, it did an okay job of getting my company email on my personal device so I didn't have to carry that awful Blackberry. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: RUBBISH And USELESS I think the tittle says it all ! |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: The slowest email app I have ever used |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Poor Unable to install - always cite securing channel takes too long error! Is this app not compatible on jelly bean? |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Copy/paste?? Why can't I copy paste text from the body of an email? |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: Pathetic SW Doesn't work where I need it ! Doesn't work outside my office network ! When I install/reinstall it, pulls old emails immediately and works for a day. After that always shows either 'connecting' or 'disconnected'. |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Tablet UI? Any chance an Android Tablet UI will be released soon? Also the Good infrastructure needs to be improved!! Cache corruption causes device to stop syncing? Geez.. |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Updated My last phone software update took away the browser icon and I can no longer get to intranet for my job! |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Mark all as read. How hard can this option be to add. |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Good...for Blackberry"s future The only reason I used this piece of junk is because our IT mandates it. It is so bad that I am giing back to a blackberry tomorrow and I am using a nrand new galaxy s3 with 4.1.... |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Early problems but has potential Using a glaxy note 2 with GFE as a safe corporate solution having migrated from blackberry which I had loved in diffrent guises for last 10 years. The big screen does show this app off and despite all the bugs I can see that a rapid development from group feedback will result in a better final solution. The begood forum has some great ideas if the developers pick them up. You loose a star because of the missing basic functions and daily crashes. 4 stars as I'm optimistic for the future. |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Bad Eats battery according to Watchdog with process sometimes taking over 30% of system resources. LED notifications are annoying. What the heck is persistent mode? |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Attachments won't open With the new update, my attachments will no longer open. This app should be better since my company actually pays for it. |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Good. I find it a lot better than many other comments, it works reliably for me and I find its calendar and email implementation works well. Only gripe stopping it from getting a 5 is that you can't change your default font for emails. It would at least be nicer if the default font was something sans serif! Overall though I'm a very happy user |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Improving but still lacking Doesn't save calendar zoom settings. Email notifications are very irritating! Still lacking a few things. |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Could be better The good thing is that the developer is responsive, promptly fixing a bug that prevented the app from running. The bad is there is no way to set how often it syncs, and by default it's a battery hog, easily the most battery draining app on my phone if running continously. I end up firing it up, checking mail, and then shutting it down. Finally, it could use an Android style interface, not a iOS port. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Terrible application It's unbelievable that Good doesn't spend a few minutes and add the ability to toggle notifications for the two priority levels on or off, and thinks setting the sound to silent and disabling all notifications for the app in the system settings is sufficient. Also, Good partners with Verizon to require you to pay absurd fees to use this application, otherwise they block your device. |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: Flakey and the Verizon up charge is BS |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: Pain I'm the butt to uninstall I found out after the fact that gfe would not run on my rooted phone, so I tried to uninstall it. You have to go into security and deauthorize it to then be able to uninstall fully. I clicked on uninstall from app store, and it acted like it worked but left the service running and grayed out the ability to uninstall in app mgr. |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: Poor Terrible piece of software |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: InTolerable - needs competition to motivate fixes Were it not mandated as the only app I can use for corporate email it would have never been installed. For the same reason it remains installed. A terrible application that really needs a competitor. Crashes when I open most attachments, cannot export the attachments to the Android app that actually created the attachment so I can edit/view it. Will not work with many other Android apps for the "send to" style of integration. Hangs a lot. I send in a few crash reports a week in hopes they will be active (obviously not "pro"active) to make it useful. If I had a choice I'd use any other app, but; my employer is pedantic about using only this terrible app despite the 1.3K one-stars associated. Where is the competition!!!! Where is the quality!!! OOPS - for lazy developers quality is not needed when there is no competition it appears Good tends to apply this "style". |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: Always 1 star Due to the headaches this has caused me over the years this App will always be 1 star. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Broken. I received a cryptic message about my Verizon data plan and then it stopped working. Neither my company or Verizon had a clue about what it's talking about. Unexplained error codes do not make for a good experience. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Not Supported Can't use. Device not supported properly. Not Certified. Plus it has too many administration loop holes in it. Would be too afraid to use it even if it only worked half the time. No thanks. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Not so bad but unacceptably unstable Many complaints but basic functionality not too bad. Reading mails is ok, calendar needs some work but good enough for daily use. What I don't like is that this app can access every piece of info on your private device! And more, it hangs and fc's a lot, really a lot. Crashes during watching or foreboding PowerPoint etc. No clipboard also very annoying. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Good! Yea Good! |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Not Good I had multiple issues: 1) Notification icon is always in the notification area (no option to hide/remove). 2) A lot of times my email would not sync up (it seemed like it was working). Would never show I had new mail even though I did. 3) Uninstalled it then reinstalled it to give it another try, but would never accept my email/password (even though it was correct). -- Overall, I don't have the patients to deal with these issues. I can't imagine someone trying to manage multiple phones in an enterprise environment. GOOD luck people... maybe the app will be updated and work better for you. For me personally, I removed it. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Give More Lockout Timeout Options! For Goodness Sake! Give more options for the lockout timeout! My phone is already protected by default lockout every 30 seconds. I want 2 hour, 5 hour, 10 hour options! And update your GMA for the lates version of android more often. Doesn't really copy text well. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: I can't believe o didn't read the ratings before installing. Argh! |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Power issue The battery is drained even when my mobile connected to charger. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Hooray I have finally figured out how to remove! Couldn't uninstall, auto-loaded, and didn't ever work. Use with caution... Rarely have I had such problems removing software from any computer or similar device. To delete, you need to remove Good's admin rights over your phone. It never worked in the first place, got stuck on synchronising stage, and was set to auto start in what's called persistent mode, making it very hard to remove or deactivate. Despite 2 attempts, Good support never got back to me. I had been part of a pilot for a 20k+ employer. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Eat battery Awefully slow on single core phones and battery drains out. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Average I would like to turn off push notifications. The app constantly is notifying me about new emails then I have to log back in..then when it automatically logs out, it notifies me I'm logged out! Ugh, so annoying please update!! |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Good app but everytime they release a new version, the stupid thing stops working and I have to delete and re-setup. Overall a good lotus notes client |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Icon? I think they are trying to have the worst icon in the Google play store and Apple iTunes. Works. But don't try to put it on your home screen or people that see it will cry. Secure browser doesn't work with 4.2. |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Too many notifications There is no way to turn off notifications for new emails. It is possible to turn off the notification sound but I still have to dismiss them. I don't want to have a notification on my phone for every single work email. If Good is locked for a long time it repeatedly notifies me that it is offline, which is just as bad. This constant demand for my attention is distracting and unwelcome. |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Frustrating app It is our corporate email provider and it is awful. If the phone shuts off data for whatever reason, I've got to uninstall and reinstall to reset the app. I only give 2 *s instead of 1 because it generally works, when it can be bothered to work at all. Functions are fairly weak, particularly for calendar activity. |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: consumes roo much battery once you use it ut consumes so much power that your phone is fast empty.. i think for email nothing beats blackberry |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Pitiful More 1 star reviews than 5 star reviews. |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: ICS Can we get certification for ICS on LG Optimus G? |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: Zooming issues Text automatically gets zoomed on my GS3 running JB. UI is not upto mark.. need changes in UI and also need text formatting or support html or rich text. |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: good is good |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Last update sucks No more Swype integration, requires password everytime the app closes. Now it's not able to open attachments. wish I could give it a minus 1 |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Horrible The only reason anyone use this awful app is because they have to. Must be nice to have a captive user base so you don't have to produce a quality app. |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Could be a lot better Every time I scroll down in an email I get a massive grey bar appear and increase in size making short emails impossible to read, also make the from/to list expandable rather that always displayed! |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Application needs to be a device administrator :( The application would not work without being a device administrator. I understand that this would be desirable for corporate IT on devices they own. But folks who wish to use personal mobile devices just to check corporate emails are SOL unless they give up all control of the device to this application including ability to wipe the entire device, not just the corporate data, without any notification to the user. |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Horrible The latest update absolutely kills the battery life worse than before!!! This is a poor excuse for an email app. As long as Good as been around you would think they would've added more functionality than what is there and at a minimum have a stable app! |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Pretty display, poor editing in this version The feedback I sent to my company's Good deployment team is below. I've just verified with a colleague that he's now seeing these issues after reinstalling to latest version: It looks promising. I like the amount of data I am able to see on my Nexus 7’s screen, it’s significantly more dense than what I used to get on the iPad. The software does appear, however, to be very early in its lifecycle. First of all, they seem to be trying to write a custom select-copy-paste handler. I can type text in, and select that text, and paste it – but after that operation, I wasn’t able to get it to select text normally to do it again. They also seem to have a very mistaken notion about how forwarded email should be handled. When I get an email that I am replying to or forwarding, I very frequently select a small bit of the text in the email I received, and paste it at the top, and then respond just below that. Since I could make it select the text I was forwarding, it appears that they’ve decided to treat the portions of the window differently. The app has also stopped responding for seconds at a time. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Reminders For some reason you have to dismiss all reminders or none. That's pretty dumb. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: OK, but needs more config options Seems more stable now after the last 2 updates. I really do wish that we had more notification options, like turning them off altogether for low priority email. My phone's LED indicator is constantly lit iPhone, making it virtually useless. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Pretty Good Best feature: being able to include access codes when dialing into a teleconference directly from your meeting invite. |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Worthless. Literally. Good for Android requires Enterprise data plan on Verizon. It doesn't work at all with my personal unlimited plan, which I won't give up to use this app. Delete. |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Good hangs for note2 Majority of times the app hangs. Kindly look into ... |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Enterprise??? This is possibly the most terrible method of getting your email....I can't believe companies pay for this.....marginally better with some later revisions however simply scrolling within an email left an right is terrible. I wish I didnt have to use this app |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Not compatible with Droid DNA Unfortunately, this new phone is not yet compatible with Droid DNA so please be aware before buying this phone if you plan to use it with GFE. |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Better than iOS version! But... It consumes a lot of resources, apart from the fact that it's that only one application that hogs the power, too. Why is this better than the iOS counterpart? The fact that it can stay online even in the background is just sweet. Maybe you can give us the option to remove the persistent icon to free up the notification bar? Cheers! |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Needs a couple of things Needs re-sizeable widgets and context input to allow increased timeout if you are in your place of work. |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Great Awesome app. Dumped my blackberry. |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Not trustworthy Constantly fails to notify/sync with new mail. Wish I had my BB Storm back...at least it kept me up to date with things |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Tablet Support?? When can we expect good for the android tablets opperate like good for the ipad??? |
