[2013-01-07] A Google User: Scrolling horrible.GUI not attractive. I don't know what is happening, GUI looks very bad after the update to 4.0.3! Cannot recommend it anymore. It looks completely different than the desktop version.Scrolling from one page to next page is horrible.Could think of max 3 stars if the GUI turns back to original version than before the update. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Unexpectedly unfunctional. The page turning is ridiculous. The annotation options are a fraction of those on the ipad and desktop. No transparency, no underlining. only black, yellow , blue for marking and noting. Would be ok for a free trial version, but I can't believe I paid for this |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Has potential, still a long way to go. Surprisingly slow, even on a Nexus 10. Sometimes there are rendering errors on the tablet which make it look like it was designed with only phones and smaller screens in mind. That was a bit disappointing as it is not up to the standards that I would expect from a Foxit product. The only reason I did not request a refund is that I hope/expect that this will become a useable product in the future. If it does not then color me disappointed. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Page turning sucks I had great expectations for mobile version as desktop one was great. But page turning is so annoying that I had to uninstall it. Now I have to look for another pdf reader. Tried to accommodate it too long not even refund is possible. Not gonna reinstall it. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Great, bit laggy Very good interface with good capabilities for editing pdfs. Not great on my s2 due to lag when zooming in. Bought to see how good would be on a galaxy note 10.1, and I think it would be great. |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Poor I would have considered this a mediocre app should this have been free. This was a waste of money. Little to no freedom in editing anything. Even the things that can be done (ex: underlining) have 2-3 ways to go (ex: colors) at best. I would have loved for my document to open where I left it, but if not that, at least make the bookmarks functional. Even flipping pages is unpleasant (not smooth at all). The search is useless if the document is bigger than 3 pages and the list could go on. I love the pc version, but this was a waste, should have read the comments first. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Good program, needs improvements. Love the ability to highlight and write on any pdf, even if it s protected. However, I would like different highlighting colors. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't use the system brightness. There is no need for me to manage the brightness of the reader. I find my self blinded at night and unable to read during the day. I would recommend this program but would like to see some refinement. |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Needs much more work No update? Seriously? Adobe has the top slot.Foxit may make great desktop pdf apps but this is mediocre. Even handles pdf viewing better. Commenting is useful but page navigation needs improving for all round usage. Not worth the cost over Adobe Reader. Come on Foxit, you're better than that. (HTC DesireS) |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: Not fit for purpose and author ignores feedback I've been really struggling to work with this software on my Nexus 7 tablet. I'm unable to view / add / edit comments made with the PC version of Foxit and the performance is shocking - pretty much making the app unusable. I've emailed the author on a number of occasions but had no response. Not a great product nor a great customer experience. |
[2012-10-15] A Google User: The worst application I ever bought. I read all the negative feedback from the Google play, however I couldn't believe. Foxit reader is a amazing tool in Windows desktop, but this application for Android is terrible. Too slow, to ackward anda extremely buggy. It is not worthy. |
[2012-10-12] A Google User: Galaxy note 10.1 awesome |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Very disappointing and slow Do not even waste your time with this one. At this point in time this application is slow and sluggish. The UI gets in the way of viewing the PDF. Some of the features are nice but its so painful to wait for pages to render. There are better, faster, smoother apps and those happen to be free. |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Not happy Didn't like it |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Not able to rotate documents or tun off autorotation. Works well except for landscape format documents. |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Disappointing Have used Foxit on PC and is my favorite but Foxit Mobile does not measure up to even free Adobe Reader. Wasted money to find this out. Needs upgraded to PC functionality. |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: A little dissapointed Having used the Fox it PC ap, I am disappointed that the Android version has no text box or typing tool. It needs much more functionality to be useful. |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Is there no pdf reader which will reflow maths equations sensibly? This does a much better job than ezpdf, but it's still a mess. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Not as good as PC. I thought the android version of foxit reader was going to be just as great as their PC version but it's not. Page loading is so slow and there's no "go to" page button. Tools are neat but nothing much different then the normal Adobe Reader app. Page rendering is so slow and pretty disappointing. I hope this gets updated to the right performance like many of the other FREE pdf reader apps. |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Terrible Do not waste your money on this unresponsive garbage |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: No simultaneous touch and stylus. Does not allow simultaneous touch and stylus. Users cannot scroll through pages with their fingers while writing with stylus like they would with an actual book. This application forces the user to choose between inking with the stylus and touching with the finger - - you cannot do both without changing 'modes'. This is both unproductive and unnatural. Also, inking and page scrolling are choppy. |
[2012-08-18] A Google User: Dog slow Page rendering so slow it is useless |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Foxitt PDF reader works as advertised |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Good but needs more. It does provide the ability to draw and highlight text, but I would give it 5 stars if the notes appeared directly on the document as text instead of a little icon you have to click on to read the note. The desktop version allows you to type right on the document. Hoping it comes along in a future enhancement on the Android version. |
[2012-06-27] A Google User: Shameful Horrible, compared to the Windows version of Foxit reader. Slow, few options, ugly interface -- needs a complete overhaul. Until then I feel cheated. Zero stars. |
[2012-05-24] A Google User: Bookmarks and Good Navigation The ability to create bookmarks is why I purchased this. I work with large PDF docs every day and need to be able to create bookmarks on the fly. Not quite as polished as adobe PDF, but adobe withholds too much functionality on account of them being evil. |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: nothing occurred when invoked via other app I tried to open a PDF file attached to Evernote note but nothing has occurred. |
[2012-05-14] A Google User: annoying toolbar I'm unconditional fan on PC Disappointed on Android with that toolbar you can't hide on normal view (sq. cm2 are precious !) whereas there's none on reflow view where it wouldn't be so annoying. |
[2012-05-11] A Google User: Amazingly slow Foxit mobile is not fast as claimed. Its horribly slow and unresponsive. Very disappointed. |
[2012-05-05] A Google User: No refund? I have tested out a few PDF writers, all of them had the option of accepting a return of the software. This one DOES NOT allow a return. DO NOT purchase it unless you have seen it in action and have verified that it has all the options you need. |
[2012-04-29] A Google User: Fantastic speed, fidelity and functionality. |
[2012-04-24] A Google User: Not so good for android Whilst I was keen to use foxit reader, the results, I must say, are rather disappointing. Text in many of the academic journals I've tried reading through this appear jagged beyond recognition. In addition editing features particularly rotate page would be a good incentive to use this but are sadly lacking. I hate to say it but for android adobe's reader has the same features better text rendering and a nicer interface, I couldn't recommend this to anyone as it is. |
[2012-04-21] A Google User: HTC vision |
[2012-04-17] A Google User: Not worth the money Even though pretty cheap, it's not worth the money as compared to Adobe...kept crashing all the time and even corrupted some files so they could not be opened with other readers anymore. |
[2012-04-14] A Google User: Quite bad Horrible rendering compared to other readers |
[2012-04-10] A Google User: Shocking Slow even on a dual core.. |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Easy highlighting Other PDF readers require a long tap before highlighting, while this one has a toolbar to stay in highlight mode and change attributes. The opacity could be more transparent. |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Refund option not avaible I am not satisfied with the application. Do not read good Croatian characters in pdf files and what surprised me after the purchase was not available refund option as was the case with other applications. Twice I sent an email on this matter at the address given in the description of applications and have not received any response. In the future I will avoid the application of this manufacturer. |
[2012-03-20] A Google User: Great on Galaxy Tab 10.1 except page turning Has all of the features I need to take notes, highlight etc while reading for uni. Would be 5 stars if only it scrolled from one page to the next more smoothly. |
[2012-03-17] A Google User: Superior to adobe |
[2012-03-17] A Google User: Foxit renders ok, but annotation ability poor Version 1.1 fixes the problems 1.0 had with failing to work on Primes with ICS. PDFs load reasonably quickly and render well - certainly better than EzPDF, which has a particular problem with Times New Roman for some reason. Annotation tools are pretty rudimentary compared to EzPDF, however. Highlighting is awkward - it's too easy to miss what you're aiming at. There are no adjustable selection guides - it's just pick the tool and select the text you want to highlight. Once you have added an annotation, there is no editing of properties or resizing. It's add and delete, that's it. Nor is there any list of annotations within the document. Nor does it seem to be possible to copy text - in fact, there is no selection facility at all. This is a pretty big omission from a paid product! |
[2012-03-17] A Google User: Slow Slow and awful. Cannot scroll down without accidentally scolloling sideways, big ugly toolbar, cannot figure how to turn it off, etc. |
[2012-03-15] A Google User: Great PDF editor! |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: Works for ASUS Prime now & good support Initial attempt did not work with the ASUS Prime, but this version does. Support was good in sending me updates to test and work out the crashing issue. |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: Tabs? I Just started using Fox It for Windows mainly for the tabs feature. Any plans too add this? I am not seeing t as an option |
[2012-03-09] A Google User: Slow Good editing but very very slow loading of pdfs. Unusuable. |
[2012-03-09] A Google User: Poor Very poor quality compare to ezPDF reader. |
[2012-03-07] A Google User: Doesn't work with Asus prime Crashes on loading every pdf document |
[2012-03-02] A Google User: Broken at the moment Bought this to replace the free reader that has been removed. Does not play well with ICS. Refuses to load documents and options are not accessible from outside a document. Wait to buy until they fix this. Per Foxit Support - does not work with android 4.0. It actually says this in the description now. No date given for a fix. Again, wait to buy |
[2012-02-29] A Google User: Broken Won't open any pdf on my transformer with ics. Just crashes. |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Worked great, needs update Little to no function after Ics update on my transformer. Before that it worked great. |
[2012-02-18] A Google User: Earned my $2.99 I don't always buy apps, but when I do..it's Foxit Mobile PDF all the way. |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Better than I expected. This is a fast and easy to use PDF reader. The annotating tool helps alot with putting notes on my PDF's while I'm out of the office. It renders PDF documents smoothly just like the PC version.I was worried at first because of the 3 star review. The low rating is mainly because this product doesn't work on Android 4.0, but in the product description it clearly states it doesn't work on those phones. So people should actually read the description instead of posting bad reviews. |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Fast and great commenting tool Pdf documents are becoming very popularly viewed file formats for mobile devices, specifically tablets. foxit reader for android delivers a parallel fast and easy to use pdf reader experience on mobile devices as seen in foxit reader for desktop. Looking forward to future versions! |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Great PDF APP Bookmarking and highlighter tools work great. Easily worth more than 3$. . Great App |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Spectacular product I use this reader everyday and it works great every time. Best purchase I have made for Android. Worth every penny! |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Smooth y practical Runs faster and renders better than Adobe. Highly recommend to try it out. Keeps its desktop slogan of fast, reliable and secure. Great product!!! |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Man! This app is great! I use foxit on desktop too. Fast and easy! |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Works as advertised (HTC Evo). |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Fastest loading speed I use Foxit everyday for my life. This app's page loading feels the fastest among all PDF Readers and its saving my time. I never think about other type of readers. |
[2012-02-13] A Google User: Better than most but needs work. Pretty good start but the navigation bar needs to be able to hide and the page number (i.e. 1/15) annoyingly pops up in the middle of the screen every |
[2012-01-21] A Google User: Dislikes Android 4 After an OS upgrade on the Xoom, FoxIt can no longer open documents. Crashes everytime. No further information available from developer. |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: Sam It's not bad. Syncing with dropbox would be great. Remembering where I was in file navigation would be good too. That's a personal pref, though. |
[2011-12-11] A Google User: Half way there Great but, Doesn't display full file names while browsing even on a tablet. Navigation bar doesn't hide so no full scene reading either |
[2011-12-07] A Google User: Very Slick My workplace uses pdfs for reviews and comments all the time this application is very professional and slick on my Asus transformer. Fully compatible with the commenting and annotation system from adobe. Thanks! |
[2011-12-06] A Google User: Doesn't work Won't open attachments to emails. I will try to get a refund. |
[2011-12-04] A Google User: Sloooow.. The slowest thing ever |
[2011-12-01] A Google User: Brilliant Thank God, at last an android version of Foxit. Fast and with annotation. Very happy. |
[2011-11-30] A Google User: Excellent uninstalled the useless adobe reader ;-) worth 3$ spent here. Love this app.. Bookmarking hilighter etc are very good. |
[2011-11-30] A Google User: Don't bother It's a joke compared to ezpdf. How can i refund this think? |
