[2012-03-15] bookman: Best Simplenote client there is During the recent update to 5.06, I experienced the synching problem others referred to. But this is simply fixed by un-intstalling and re-installing the app and re-entering the password to sync with Simplenote. You are then back in business. I think those experiencing Tags problem will see that resolved as well. I really like the elegance of this App. (I bought the unlock key) I literally take all my notes in Flick Notes and I can use the free Resophnotes Windows client for my Windows Laptop if I need to add or edit anything on my laptop and they sync beautifully. Would like to suggest a couple of enhancements : 1. The ability to insert the System Date (user define) and time anywhere in a note by say a long press which now only brings up a Paste command (which is very good too). 2. Clickable numbers in Markdown mode. Somehow the telephone numbers are not clickable in Markdown mode For anyone who has not tried the markdown mode, it's fantastic - try it. |

[2012-03-08] deep: Some feedback on latest version 1. Homescreen widget no longer loads corresponding note. In previous releases this worked, now it seems to bring up the notes list instead of the note displayed in the widget under "Single Note" mode. 2. Drag and drop, swipe to cross out, and pop up menu lost in List Mode. These features made Flick Note more usable than other note apps for To Do Lists. Drag and drop reordering is very useful for prioritizing lists and the swipe to cross out an item is too valuable to just get rid of. There is a new application for IOS called "Clear" that is receiving a lot of praise for using gestures to manage to do lists that might provide an comparative model. The pop up menu was useful in List Mode as it gave the option to remove a list item instead of just checking it off. Now you have to put the note back into text mode and delete it character by character. 3. Some notes can switch to list mode, others can't - this seems to depend on length. 4. Text entry on List mode is somewhat erratic. A new list item should be created by tapping an empty space below a list. 5. When editing notes in landscape mode, the background changes to white instead of using the Dark theme. |

[2011-08-08] James: Best simplenotes app out there I wrote a review on the free version. Careful - it truncates long notes. However, this seems common to all android simplenotes clients I've tried so far. The list-style notes is amazing, though the tap/buttons presses should be changed (tapping once brings up a menu, counter intuitive). The single-note widget is amazingly helpful - now I can have my todo list on my PC & phone, and also show up on my phone's homepage. Finally!!! |
