[2013-08-21] A Google User: fits my needs |
[2013-08-19] A Google User: Went back to OEM app Can't believe I paid for this, I used it for about 3 weeks and ended up going back to the stock email app. The layout is difficult to get used to and I could not figure out how to sync sub folders for a different length of time than the inbox. My OEM email app allows me to do this. |
[2013-08-16] A Google User: Nearly awesome! This is the only app that I have found to work with our Exchange 2003 server. I was a little irritated because this app would not sync messages that were in my inbox prior to initialization. However, I moved all of the emails from my inbox to a temporary folder after my initial sync and then moved them back into the inbox and sync'd TD again and they were there. Five stars when there is a more modern UI, maybe even skinnable. Need better calendar display options, and more robust calendar widgets. |
[2013-08-15] A Google User: Excellent I was having problems with the android email client that was already installed where it would not connect to the server to send emails. Switched to Touchdown and no problems since. |
[2013-08-15] A Google User: Very good app! Works exactly as described. A solid and reliable app! |
[2013-08-13] A Google User: Great App This is a great app.. I had to download to comply with my work network system. I have only had one issue (user issue) and they promptly replied to my email with directions and a quick fix. Worth the $..recommend. |
[2013-08-07] A Google User: Does the job Prefer Android default app but that has corrupted. This is a good replacement. |
[2013-08-06] A Google User: Great app for those in need, but not updated since 2012... For 20 some dollars, this app needs to be kept up to date and given new features one in a while. Perhaps some additional features for those that actually paid for the key? I would like to see an interface facelift or more friendly usability? I use it everyday for work and I would change my review to five stars if the developers would improve the calendar accessibility and search function. |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: Conversation View No update to UI for long time, months, not friendly. Cannot File msgs into subfolders - nothing happens, boxes stay checked. Looking for a better Conversation View interface, otherwise the app is great - BB device conversation view or SIII built-in app as examples. Thanks |
[2013-08-03] A Google User: Good! Thanks for fixing my issue below- I can no longer use Touchdown anymore. It started yeaterday, it suddenly stopped and said No Activesync support! I did try reconfiguring/reinstalling the app, it will work firat time I run the app, but when I make changes to the setting, it always got stuck on Initializing activesync! please please help! I'll change my rating once this is sorted! thanks! |
[2013-08-02] A Google User: lost all my calender updates not worth....lost all my calender updates but rest of the things working fine. |
[2013-07-29] A Google User: Frustrating I've been struggling to use this app for work for over two years. I thought my problems were due to my employers settings. I have missed, or written but been unable to send so many messages you'd think I would have found a better solution. I was tearing my hair out. Some one put a lot of time into this, but I find it cumbersome and hard to navigate. Thank god I am uninstalling this app. |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Horrible Layout. Horrible Features. Horrible Integration. This application is not worth the money. The built in application for Android is better and its free. The only reason I am using this application is because my work requires it as part of our security package. Here are just a few list of problems: -- Calendar is not integrated into stock calendar application. (Not sure if I should blame Google or Nitro but it is probably a combination of both). -- Signiture editing for HTML has no ability to edit font type, style, and size. What exactly is the point of HTML then? -- The interface is clunky and antique design. For $20 I would expect an updated interface from when they first released this application for Android. 8-bit design in a 32-bit world. -- Price, $20... Really this has to be one of the most expensive applications in the Play Store. Unless work is paying for the application, it isn't worth it. I could go on but then I would lose credibility and just look like a whiner. If you have any option, avoid this application until they make it worth $20! |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Solid product; needs some attention Have used product for several months and am mostly happy with it The feature that drew me to Touchdown work great and are reliable (exchange integration, peak/off peak alerts and silent time) However, as others have commented, the 'new' interface is horrid and you constantly (every time you use it) need to change the setting back to 'classic' Would do wonders if the developer listened to their customers and made this an option you could toggle |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Disappointed No doubt that alot of great work has gone into developing this app, but in my experience the UI is not well structured to view emails on a phone, even on my Note 2. An open email should be full screen, not an uncomfortable, semi-readable pane. Would rather use Classic UI but it's a hassle. Also, I have not been able to access any email attachments despite what seems like memorizing the multiple, settings, options and advanced menus looking for a fix. This app needs improvement, I regret spending the money. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: good |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Purchase after using Demo Our company has switched to Touchdown, and after a month of use I do like the application. My biggest grip and I have not found a fix yet. is that my Smart actions application on My Motorola Razor Maxx does not work with Touchdown. I use smart actions to set my phone automatically for meetings, this includes sound, responses, etc. This works fine with the stock calendar. 5 stars if this issue corrected or if I am not setting up correctly please let me know.. |
[2013-07-16] A Google User: Great, it really is great! This works perfectly but some of the widgets don't work on my Asus Transformer or my Sony Xperia Z. Also, the whole thing looks terrible. Why does it have to look so dated? |
[2013-07-03] A Google User: Best alternative to adding business mail directly to phone Great app. Awesome updates. Great tech support! |
[2013-07-02] A Google User: The best of the best...Fantastic As of 7/2/13, this is clearly the best Outlook email application...great work! |
[2013-06-29] A Google User: Sort not working Sorting is fixed. Does what I need to do. Syncs with outlook and contacts aee in my phone. |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: Good corporate email client I would like to be able to set Classic View as default. The main functionality I would like is to be able to customize when a new email notification appears. As it is now, I can complete customize noise and color of flashing light but the email icon is always displayed in the notification toolbar for ALL emails received. I really want to be able to create a rule so that only emails with me in the "TO field" show a new email notification on the top left of my phone. That would make this app amazing! |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Great Exactly what I was looking for. Using native email for my works exchange locked my phone down. This let's me work around it. Plus has many useful features. Awesome. |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Best MS Exchange Client Some UI inconsistency leads to a chaotic user experience - so there's room for improvement. This said, it's still the best on the market. |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Best App for MS Exchange Works just like Outlook !! Very easy to set up too. If you use MS Exchange you must have this app. |
[2013-06-12] A Google User: Best for android yet I haven't yet found a better sync app for exchange and outlook. This one sometimes screws up small things in the calendar, like all-day appointments but otherwise works fine as long as I don't sync too many folders. |
[2013-06-09] A Google User: Better than stock exchange client While there is nothing necessarily _bad_ about the stock Exchange client, no one is going to write home to mom about it. Touchdown, however, is much easier to use, far more configurable, and just *feels* better. |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: Great application! Would give 5 stars if it didn't stop working. Hopefully this application will allow for exchange 2010 soon. |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: Limited customization Touchdown team is there a way to set default view to Classic? I paid $20 for this and have found it frustrating that I have to click on classic view every time I open the app. |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: Awesome, but needs ability to set out of office reply. Needs out of office reply capability. |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: Amazing functionality Mediocre interface , but because of the amazing functionality it gets 5 stars |
[2013-06-02] A Google User: Excellent!! The best Droid email client. Have been having some minor ongoing issues but dev has been very responsive to try and resolve. Overall, it is by far the best phone email client I have ever used. |
[2013-06-02] A Google User: Great app Have been using the app for a couple of years. Keeps getting better |
[2013-05-28] A Google User: Works great but Some of the features get lost when switching to tablet mode, for example the ease of switching profiles. In regular mode a new button appears, menu- profile, but in tablet mode, menu-options-advanced-profile-change profile. ... |
[2013-05-25] A Google User: 30 day trial... one request! ★★★★☆ For those that complain about paying, I simply lol! There is a 30 trial! Smh... It's great because it has almost complete exchange integration, great "push" service, full sync, custom vibration notifications, out of office, peak time and plenty of options to keep me happy! Now that I have the 5" screen, I notice that by default it starts into a preview pane mode and I have to chose "classic mode" since that's my preference. Can you PLEASE add an option to always start in "classic mode", for 5 stars? |
[2013-05-23] A Google User: $20 And unable to compose email This app sucks... The design blocks the text when a message is being composed... really 25% of the screen for 3 buttons in land scape... more than a year and no update... would have been better to burn $20... |
[2013-05-22] A Google User: Keeps me in touch This does a good job of keeping me in touch with my office e-mail and calendar. |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Not Pretty but Solid App Function over form is the story here. The UI won't win any awards to be sure, but the app does what I need it to do. No problems so far with CPU, battery, or stability. |
[2013-05-17] A Google User: Garbage! Crashes EVERY time I send an email! What is the point of an email apparently that won't let you send emails?! If it wasn't required for work I would have spent my $20 on postage stamps! The post office is better than touchdown |
[2013-05-13] A Google User: Has some flaws, but it's always improving It's still easy to get lost in it's myriad of screens, mysteriously iconed buttons and pages and pages of settings, yet it's still a great product and constantly improving. Here's why: They are always updating the app to take advantage of newer operating systems features and improve the UI. Some of these new features are immense time savers, such as being able to mark messages read from the notification bar. Also, depending on your Exchange Server security settings, if you enter your password incorrectly, your pictures and entire phone won't be deleted. Only the data stored in Touchdown. I actually had this have to me years ago. It's expensive, but if you need access to your Exchange email, I highly recommend it over the built-in client. |
[2013-05-12] A Google User: Frustrating It has stopped working and won't load any new emails. I didn't pay $20 for this bull. Fix it now or return my money. |
[2013-05-09] A Google User: Redesign required Very unusable UI. Low usability. Native mail client is better. |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Not up to par compared to BES The email platform works for utility purposes, and creating sub folders that sync works effectively. My biggest complaint, and why I purchased and installed over native email app was for out of office replies, and that feature is missing on my GSIII. Add OOO feature, as this is critical for business and I'll will update my review. |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Awesome! Been using this since I've had an android phone. The latest update adds functionality to the ics notification bar that makes it even better. |
[2013-04-24] A Google User: Best Mail App No better email app anywhere. |
[2013-04-22] A Google User: Missing feature Why was the feature removed to confirm messages before they were sentm |
[2013-04-22] A Google User: Recent update crashes my Droid 3 Nitro Desk was great ap for 2 yrs until the recent update last week. Now I get force close and freezy freezy 3 or 4 times daily plus the ap takes forever to open and close. How do I get rid of this rece t update??? |
[2013-04-19] A Google User: Fantastic! Bought this today because I needed to connect to a customer's system but did not want to allow remote wipe of whole phone; it works flawlessly! Great stuff devs! |
[2013-04-16] A Google User: Great business ap! I love this ap. I had to leave the blackberry as the newer ones didn't seem to have the great search of notes that I needed. This ap does it all. |
[2013-04-12] A Google User: Update broke app Got the latest update and now I can't move files to other folders as app keeps saying I have selected nothing. Now a useless app I have paid for. Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx user...please fix! |
[2013-04-12] A Google User: Best exchange app available! I just wish android was able to connect to exchange as easily, efficiently, and elegantly as iOS is able to do out of the box without having to pay $20 for an app like Touchdown. This is, however, an amazing application for android and I more than highly recommend it! If you use exchange this is the application you want /need! |
[2013-04-12] A Google User: Excellent! Great integration with Exchange. It's all there, mail, calendar, tasks, contacts, etc. |
[2013-04-11] A Google User: Deleting Trash This app needs an 'Empty Trash ' button. |
[2013-04-11] A Google User: Great App Nothing much to complain. |
[2013-04-10] A Google User: Fantastic Absolutely awesome and worth the money for full licence as I use the app for work. Well done. |
[2013-04-06] A Google User: Mediocre If it weren't for Android's horrible implementation of ActiveSync, we wouldn't have to use this. This one reason may move me to phone. :( |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: Just okay Can't search contacts, no support for attachments, old, inflexible UI. Apparently, Nitrodesk is no longer working on this app, since users have been asking for these features for over a year. But when there is no competing app, why should they bother? |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: Looks old Not updated in over a year. Looks dated, but still works. |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Notification issues Interesting new look. No longer receiving notification of new mail in the status area. |
[2013-04-01] A Google User: It Works Takes up an incredible amount of space on my phone (over 100 Mb). |
[2013-04-01] A Google User: Great App But Two Small Issues Updating my review. App is fantastic. Giving four stars for 2 reasons: 1) PIN screen should be set to the Theme settings. Currently bright white in a all themes. 2) Email Alerts: Use System Default Settings will vibrate if the phone is in Silent, Vibrate or Sounds are selected. Other than these two, 4 stars as this is actually a fantastic app. |
[2013-03-28] A Google User: Nice Interface could be better. Also attachments not downloaded. No sent folder. |
[2013-03-19] A Google User: Liked the trial. Bought it and am satisfied . Thanks |
[2013-03-17] A Google User: UI outdated Need a UI improvement along ICS/Jelly Bean's standards. |
[2013-03-14] A Google User: Great app but... The calendar widget doesn't update anymore. I have to reboot ny phone to force an update. Fix it for 5 stars. |
[2013-03-13] A Google User: Unusable e-mail landscape composition window If you have a virtual keyboard like most everyone does, Touchdown can be EXTREMELY annoying because they insist on putting a huge "SEND" button across the bottom of the typing window and huge "To", "CC", and "Message" buttons across the top such that you CANNOT SEE WHAT YOUR TYPING in the window when in landscape view. I have shown them the issue and asked numerous times for them to fix it, but keep having to use the Android stock e-mail app because of it. |
[2013-03-12] A Google User: This is a great program This is a great program. I don't think I have ever reviewed an app before but this one is so good that I feel compelled to say so. This makes email on the go very, very good and is in a league with Outlook 2010 for raw power and great design. Since Outlook is also fantastic, I think that's says a lot about the quality of this program. |
[2013-03-10] A Google User: App Nice tool for work outlook connection with mobile iron. Need to add option to link images to signature for emails. |
[2013-03-10] A Google User: UI is too old fashion |
[2013-03-10] A Google User: Best real time exchange sync for android Best feature is absolute real time sync on android. Tried other apps - this beats all. Fully functional app.. There are multiple areas that needs improvement though .. - the UI is very basic for the price.. Very soon other good looking and functional calendars on iOS will come to android.. - export to other calendar apps or at least import from other calendars with a good looking calendar - email scroll still is an issue.. In other words, this app wouldn't sell without its sync functionality.. |
[2013-03-09] A Google User: Archaic Poor and archaic. Hasn't been updated in ages. Looks almost like it should be on an old crappy blackberry... |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: Overall good Works well except when I selected show email when opening first I no longer can access classic view... more importantly, the tools section. Please fix. |
[2013-03-05] A Google User: Missing Functionallity LIKE the app, but it has a way to go before I love it. On my Galaxy Nexus, If I'm in the app and recieve a phone call at the same time, the app locks and I cannot access my call. It would be nice if it would drop into the background letting me get to my call. That is a huge pain in the keyster. A MUCH needed feature in contacts would be an ever-present search capability in contacts. It's really quite clunky the way it is currently set up. I sync using Microsoft 360 and that works very well |
[2013-03-02] A Google User: VERY SAD!.... This app is such a joke.... Been forever and still can't change default account name. The dev should just shoot himself in the face!.. |
[2013-03-02] A Google User: Clean and easy UI Does exactly what it says. Probably the best Exchange out there. |
[2013-02-27] A Google User: Not So Great I've been using this app for the last couple months. Every couple of days I would realize I wasn't actually sending emails. It would act like it sent, but if I viewed my sent emails in my email, they weren't there. Very fustrating when you send emails for 5 days and realize none of them were sent, then try to figure out what you need to resend. It forced me to stop using this App to send emails because I would have to resend them on the computer anyways! |
[2013-02-26] A Google User: It works but it is UGLY! Who designed this GUI? What's with the windows 95 icons? For the money that they charge the very least the developer could do is update the interface to the Holo standard. |
[2013-02-21] A Google User: Q support when chg'g phones? I had to upgrade phone which marked that i had purchased but after installing could not get email set up? |
[2013-02-19] A Google User: Does the job, nearly Does the job for synching with my outlook exch. for email and contacts but interface needs work. Agenda OK. Calendar is very poor compared to others on market. Check monthly view. I eventually went with other calendar app |
[2013-02-16] A Google User: Top Top |
[2013-02-15] A Google User: Great Very good application to work with MS Outlook Server. |
[2013-02-14] A Google User: GREAT TOOL! Touchdown's functionality was one of the biggest reason I decided to stay with Android at my last upgrade vs. becoming an iPhone sheep. I have never experienced any crashes or data loss with this app. |
[2013-02-13] A Google User: Great App Design a little nineties/noughties but great app. |
[2013-02-06] A Google User: Great App Only con: it only works with exchange. Would like to see multiple email acct management |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Great App Been using this app for about 2 years now and love it. I use it with exchange and it just works flawlessly. I would give it 6 stars if I could. |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Great This app is flexible and well made. More flexible and reliable than the the stock app. Well Done Nitrodesk |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Calendar constantly goes blank Then I have to uninstall and reinstall to fix. It's been happening several times a week. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Worth every penny |
[2013-01-17] A Google User: Pls add option to hide icon Hi double icons are annoying, please add option to hide from app drawer... |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Just what u needed I have many folders in my inbox. Couldn't see them all until I got Touchdown. Now I can view them and move messages into and out of them. A+ for what I needed! |
[2013-01-13] A Google User: Great for keeping connected to all things, but could improve some functionality. This is great for keeping me connected to all things that I care about such as my Exchange email contacts task as well as notes. However it would be great to see such things as minute intervals of your choosimg for reminders, like 15 minutes versus every minute of the hour. However, some people may want it by minute...let us choose. I would also like the ability to easily set up appointments and search availability of other global users/conference rooms/resources. Overall, a greaapp I cannot live without |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Nice features, but finicky I love the features that are added over the stock Android app. I was excited to see that outlook notes were even added, but that seems to have recently vanished. What I don't like is that this app keeps loosing it's activesync connection. I spend more time in the apps settings trying to make it work the way I want than actually reading mail. I'm an IT Administrator with 15 years exchange experience so I'm not completely clueless. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Signature Will be good if will be possible to change font and attach pictures to signature. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Excellent No issues works perfect |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Great email app, best of the lot This is easily the best email app available on Android, especially if you need to use Exchange, like I do. Easy to configure, intuitive and simple to use, and the features are powerful. I also love the fact that email, contacts, calendar and tasks are all integrated in one app, rather than making you switch to different apps like some others do. I've been using this for the past 2 years, and it has improved steadily over that time. Pretty close to perfect right now -- I really can't think of too many things I'd change with it. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Love it Almost a good as using outlook. Beats any other app out there and is worth every penny. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Can't get email notifications Had this on DROID incredible 2 and worked fine. Just switched to RAZR m and I can't get the email notification light to show up or image notification. Help! |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Works great I wish the developer would give an indication of whether they will continue to update the Android app. No update in quite a while. |
[2012-12-20] A Google User: Absolute Best Touchdown is hands down the best Email client for exchange email. Fully featured email client. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Good: PRO: Best app for replicating Outlook functionality. CONS: Some subscribed folders do not show, like "Outbox". Also, cannot show calendar items in android calendar widget like built-in Exchange mail app can. |
