(EvenBetter)NumberPad Keyboard (v. 5.0.6) Разработано Matt F |
Please note - working on Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) fix :-)
This is the EvenBetter, NumberPad Keyboard! No other keyboard comes close to it in giving you the best T9 experience on Android.
Reviews:
"Best T9 keyboard, hands down! I've tried them all. Creator does a nice job fixing glitches and making upgrades. Great program. Keep it up!"
"Frickin genius! This is so much quicker and more enjoyable than poncing around on a tiny little qwerty keyboard! 5 stars my man. Very happy :-)"
"Love it! :)"
"Dev emailed me right away and help fix purchasing issue i had. All is well. Great support."
"Amazing. So much better than the android qwerty onscreen keyboard, and i love how you can add words easily. The big keys are helpful too."
"By far my best app purchase yet. Have not had one issue. Droid x 2.2 rooted"
It's the best T9 style input and keyboard for Android! Also great for popular messaging apps such as Handcent and ChompSMS, and gives the old style phone pad experience on the phone's keyboard, as well as the ability to use the normal keyboard.
Prediction languages supported are English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, German and French.
Key Features of Keyboard:
Add word button in abc mode
Tap (abc) and predict (T9) modes
Learns word prediction order while typing
Next button in predict mode
Full keyboard in landscape
Supports Better Keyboard Style Skins!
Some keyboard usage tips:
1.) '1' key is for the apostrophe in words (so in predict/T9 mode, the word don't is spelled 3-6-6-1-8)
2.) The 'next' button (button 0) in predict mode becomes the 'Add word' button in abc mode, for easily adding new words to the dictionary.
3.) It learns your word prediction order as you type, so if the suggestions aren't right at first, it should improve as you type.
4.) If a word is not being suggested first, try typing it a few times in a row (without picking the wrong suggestion each time :-) ).
If you have any trouble, please email. I'm excited to help! I can't reply to comments down below, so if you have a problem, you really, *really* should email me.

[2013-10-13] A Google User: Best keyboard I have found It does exactly what I want it to and nothing more. |
[2013-10-06] A Google User: Great addition would be "mic" button to open up google voice typing I love the app... Developer has had the best response time ever! App keeps getting better and better. Would love size options? |
[2013-09-10] A Google User: Doesnt work Wont let me switch it on. Cant find developers email address. Wont give me the opportunity for a refund now. Now realise ice cream sandwich is not yet available. |
[2013-08-06] A Google User: Great! Needs update Love this keyboard but I'm having an issue where if I select a word from the list of available words, sometimes it takes 3 - 4 times before it'll change to that word. Example: I type "bar" but want "car" instead. When I select "car" the current word remains "bar" and I have to keep tapping "car" until it finally takes. Does this on Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: Best keyboard app around, happy to give it 5stars thanx! ;-) |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: Great app Would recommend this if your after t9 keyboard I have had it for months and really like it |
[2013-07-17] A Google User: Improve Needs the emoji 6! |
[2013-07-02] A Google User: Brilliancy To be honest i was a bit scared to spend that much cash on a keypad but its brilliant ! Just what I needed after playing around with other keyboard apps. One question how do you get to settings? |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Even better Can't change language. |
[2013-06-06] A Google User: Please fix it for the Android 4.2.2 Kind of buggy for the 4.2.2 please fix it soon. |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: It is great Best app ever |
[2013-05-16] A Google User: I I |
[2013-05-12] A Google User: wat happened? this was fast on my old HTC now on my galaxy nexus it's SLOW and doesnt recognize all the key presses...??? plz fix |
[2013-05-02] A Google User: Sort it out This used to be great but since last update it is crap takes me ages to type as it has a mind of its own skipping letters switching keypads I cant take it anymore time for a new one |
[2013-04-21] A Google User: Great but.. I've been using this app for years and the retarded first default suggesting words really have worn me down. I mean "aping" before "bring"?? Seriously fix this I am about to change programs |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: HTC DNA I have had this app for two years. When I got my first smart phone, droid x, I nearly stopped texting till I found this app. I love it. Then I got a razr maxx hd and it worked great but I had to text somewhat slow or it couldn keep up. Now I have a HTC DNA and I can not get the app to work at all.:'( I hope there is a fix for this really really soon |
[2013-03-22] A Google User: Best t9! Works great! Simply cant put up with qwerty. I miss the smiley button tho. |
[2013-02-22] A Google User: Not bad I have had it for a while an loved it.. recently it will stop working.. and to make it work in the first place you have to go an make it default.. |
[2013-02-15] A Google User: Great Its great except there are still glitches, when I go on the internet, after typing the keyboard won't minimize. Droid incredible two |
[2013-02-15] A Google User: Perfection! If it hadn’t have been for this app I would never have moved to Android. I just cannot use a mobile tap-tap QWERTY keyboard and I simply can’t get the hang of alternatives such as Swype. The only slight gripe I have is that it doesn’t always come up as the default keyboard on some apps or processes but it’s no big deal to toggle to select it. Using the space bar to select the highlighted word in the prediction box is an excellent feature and I can’t recommend this keyboard enough. Thank you! |
[2013-02-12] A Google User: Use to be the best for T9 I got this app years ago, thru 3 phone upgrades and it worked perfect but since ICS update it is very frustrating. Says working on update but has been a long time. Going to look for another T9 :( |
[2013-02-09] A Google User: Does not work Could not activate the "even worse" keyboard. Disappointing! |
[2013-02-07] A Google User: Almost Lacks spanish dictionary.. that's very bad. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Can be a perfect 5 stars if it didn't suggest words that aren't real words. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Great app I use it all the time never had any problems with it. Nothing else like it |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: BEST T9 KEYBOARD EVER!!!!!!! This is the perfect keypad, I gotta have a T9 number-pad, and this one goes above and beyond being a good one. I've used this keyboard for over 3 years now. Word suggestion is VERY easy to customize and add your own words to it, and it NEVER FORGETS the words you add. It even knows when to switch to a full qwerty keyboard for passwords which makes it incredibly easy too. EVERYTHING about it is so easy and convenient, its AWESOME and I dont know what I'd do without it! |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Keyboards |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Makes me sad Because it used to be awesome, but got all weird when I went to ics. Letters won't always input correctly and sometimes when I tap on a suggested word, I have to tap it a few times before it will put it into what i'm typing. Still my preferred input method though. Please fix it! |
[2013-01-13] A Google User: Poor T9 function And the developer never emailed me back. Not worth the money. Poor functionality and usability. |
[2013-01-11] A Google User: Buttons don't work After contacting the developer and receiving no response I'm forced to leave a negative review here. This keyboard would be perfect for me since I'm a huge T9 fan, but the button sensitivity is not right. You have to really press hard in order for a button to register a keystroke. This causes a lot of mistakes and wasted time. |
[2013-01-11] A Google User: Does it work with HTC Incredible 4G? I have downlaoded the app but I am unable to set it up. When you press and hold the text box on the HTC Incredible 4G LTE nothing happens. Is there a workaround? |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Just not responsive enough Have been texting like this for a long time. Lag is not this apps issue. It just is unresponsive when you hit the key half the time compared to other phones i've owned. You have to concentrate to hit each key perfect each time. Disappointing compared to the htc incredible's (1 or 2) built in features. Slows my texting down to that of full keyboard. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Still no fix for ics Since ice cream sandwich update this is not good at all. Was perfect before. Please fix. Emailed developer but no help. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Favorite app on market Love it! Best app EVER!!! use it EVERY DAY!!! I've had several android phones and this app is the very FIRST app that I download every time I switch phones!!! |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: Best so far The best numberpad keypad that I had ever used. Option to disable the show of Peediction option in the main key would be a great advantage |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Used it for years. I purchased this app for my first android phone, the cliq xt. Now I am still using it on my galaxy s2. Great app. My only complaint is that while typing a text message, the app vibrates and lights up but sometimes no text shows up. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Razr I Used it for years on my defy now useless as keeps missing letters and is very slow on ICS |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Dan Don't like it. Too many reasons to list. Main two are word suggestions suck, and no microphone key. I downloaded it for t9 and that's a pain. Not happy. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Not so good since ice update I have had this app for years and loved it but since updating my bionic to ics lots of issues. There are lots of times I hit a key 3,4,5 times it vibrates and lights but no letter is added to my text. Have to type really slow for it to work at all. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Best way to text This is by far the best of all my apps. I find the Qwerty keyboard much more difficult because you have to navigate your way through 3x the options when inputting any letter--T9 is simply sooo much easier! If everyone used it there would be far fewer accidents while texting because you don't even need to look at the screen. Just wish there was a mic option for speech-to-text and then it would be perfect! |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Nope Followed instructions several times over & never worked on my s3. Went back to big finger keyboard. Sent messages to support with no response. |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Pathetic Not much better out there, but this doesn't compare to pre-smart phone T9. Doesn't have basic words like dave etc. Doesn't let you add words to your vocab. On and on. Hate it. |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: ? ? Update? |
[2012-11-06] A Google User: Awsome app This is the best app around for all you two finger sausage texters like me!!!!! Keller |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Awesome |
[2012-10-16] A Google User: Works well in Xperia. Easier to send text mesages. Can add words to dict also |
[2012-10-13] A Google User: Lacking features No easy button to activate microphone. No support for Samsung S-pen. |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Should be five. I will give it five *'s once you make the suggestions better and when you can turn the "next predictive text" on and off. When using t9 you get use to the next button and how many times you'll need to press it and if it keeps changing for more frequently used words then you'll never remember. I love this layout and everything else. My main keyboard now. But please at this. I don't want to go keyboard hunting anymore! |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: Only missing the mic button Love this app! Please improve with the mic button :) |
[2012-09-22] A Google User: working great on S3 i can type uber fast on it. no problems at all. no lagging or delays like others are reporting. best part about it is that it's the old style of T9 prediction where it remembers your most frequently used words (of the same keypad combinations). the most frequent word will be the one that's displayed first. the bar above the keypad will display the 2nd most frequently used word, then the 3rd and so on. last time i had T9 this nice was with my LG VX-10 (whoa ancient) my enV generation 1 had a crummy T9 that didn't have a frequency setting i have a galaxy S3 SGH-T999 (t-mobile) |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: I use it... ...but only because I need to. I'm just faster with a T9 keyboard, but I wish it had all the bells and whistles of the big dogs like Swiftkey. Auto cap for I'm, I've, I'd, etc. Would be nice. |
[2012-08-31] A Google User: No multilingual option Despite explicitly mentioning the availability of 8 languages in the app description the software does not come with multi-lingual options or dictionaries. Moreover, I received no reply from the developer even after e-mailing twice. |
[2012-08-31] A Google User: Too slow Used to be great. Now I can't use it since ice cream sandwich. |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: ICS SLOW had htc incredible 2, worked great. now with samsung s3, fast typing misses letters. BUMMER. FIX THIS FAST! |
[2012-08-23] A Google User: Useless as constantly misses letters Used this for years but unable to use now as most words miss a letter as you type. Annoying as good paid money for this app and am now having to use a different t 9 keyboard. |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Droid x2 Love it |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Cody I have had this for a few years and it has been perfect. Now out of nowhere it won't even let me use it!! >:( |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Love it! I would not be able to Text so fast without it honestly! Definitely worth the $! |
[2012-07-27] A Google User: Number Love it!!!!! |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Better One Out There I'm always looking for better apps. But this one is not it. I'm going to go back to SLIDE IT KEYBOARD it is much better than this. Maybe when they get the bugs worked out on this I will try it again. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Not what expected Would work better he it didn't lag trying to text fast does not work with this keypad |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Glitchy...Plz help! I can't type too fast....it'll blank out on me...it also skips letters a lot....plz help! |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Revisited 18 Months Later, And Still Needs Updates!!! What's sad, is that this app was once amazing. A trait that we see becoming all too common amongst the droid app market. Prior to Gingerbread launch, (2.3) this was the T-9 app of choice. Yet on the Motorola Droid 3 & 4, it's still simply frustrating and needs updating desperately. It no longer shows suggestions or next word and it constantly reverts back to full keyboard rather than staying on T-9. Sadly disappointing yet again! Come on guys get with it! 1/5 STARS -Game King Reviews |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Disappointing 8-( Been using for years with 5 star and now after ice cream sandwich Android upgrade it is unusable can't even type one word with out it missing letters! I'll have to try another t9 now 8-( 1 star |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Droid razr Works a little better now, but when I type fast it skips some letters. |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: Dictionary How come words added to the dictionary don't seem to last? They should be permanent! And while I can add to it, I can't actually see the list of added words to edit them. Perhaps something to consider. Otherwise it works great. |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: Number key pad I love it for t9 |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Difficult to use on hi-res screens I enjoyed using this keyboard on my original Incredible, but now that I have upgraded to a device with a higher screen resolution, it is not very usable. The size makes it very difficult to type accurately. Please include a setting to increase the height of the keyboard on high resolution devices. |
[2012-07-07] A Google User: Ice cream lag Worked great until my ice cream update came thru. Now some keypads dont always want to work and lags big time. Please fix and update!!!!!!!!!! |
[2012-07-07] A Google User: Evo 4G LTE The dev needs to add the voice texting feature. I hate having to switch between keyboards just to type using voice. |
[2012-06-30] A Google User: Wow! Love it! I couldn't text on the android keyboard to save my life! I'm loving this! |
[2012-06-28] A Google User: Mercury Great update with the customization but now theses a delay |
[2012-06-28] A Google User: ! Looooove =) |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: The fastest one finger typing! I was tempted to get the swiftX for its intuitiveness but using keyboard on a mobile is so cumbersome esp if you need to sms with one hand (i.e. carrying your baby on the other) and if you're carrying a large phone like galaxy S3. A few suggestions though. Possible to cut down one more step for putting punctuation? And is there a faster way to toggle language fr the keyboard? Thks. |
[2012-06-20] A Google User: Won't work on HTC Amaze Installed after ICE update. Even tho I have it selected as my default keyboard and re-booted phone, it still won't let me use T-9 option. Disappointed as I just can't text with a Qwerty. |
[2012-06-18] A Google User: Awesome! Fantastic T9 texting experience! Allows me to text faster. Although sometimes when I switch from landscape to portrait, the keyboard will stretch beyond the boundaries of my screen. Also, some colored themes would be nice! |
[2012-06-16] A Google User: Not good for razor maxx phone. There is no icon for the microphone on the keyboard. if you like to dictate and then edit your text, it takes way too long to bring up the microphone in a different window. then its a hassle to switch back to t 9. also, when you hit the 4 button you should get the I instead of the g because I is a word and g isn't. |
[2012-06-07] A Google User: Like the app, use it, but it is laggy... i have been using this app since my first android phone, droid x july 2010, and now on the droid razr maxx. but there is a bit of lag. basically letters dont come up when pressed. this ends up taking longer, but still way easier to use one handed than the full qwerty keyboard. i will finally submit an email to the dev, if this gets sorted out i will definitely edit my review. |
[2012-06-07] A Google User: Poor Purchased, tested, the 1 4 and 7 button did not respond 8 out of 10 times and then couldn't get a refund |
[2012-06-02] A Google User: Great app I love this app! But a lot of the times the previous letter gets deleted when typing fast. Also, three taps in a square gets recognized as only two (or two as one) alot. Please look into this! |
[2012-05-22] A Google User: Must have! So useful I purchased it twice. Stupid ice cream sandwich update. But have to have this app. It kicks A$$ |
[2012-05-19] A Google User: Good attempt. It's a solid attempt but having the punctuation hidden on separate screens is frustrating. Also it doesn't predict conjunctions so you have to pause and find the ' as you're typing. A little more work and it'll be great. I still bought the app to support the developer. |
[2012-05-16] A Google User: I upgrade my rating to 5 stars thanks to Matt. The issues i was having related to a misunderstanding of the various combinations of settings. All good |
[2012-05-05] A Google User: Keep from switching There needs to be an update where the key pad can be locked to either keyboard or keypad because im tired of pressing the # symbol to switch over to keypad feature every time iim texting..... PLEASE!!!!!!! make an update OF THIS!!!!!!! |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: Very good Best I try a lot this better. |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: Dev responsd time is great. Couldnt find any other app like this. Slight lag but overall i love it. Now i can txt with one hand. |
[2012-04-17] A Google User: Fast but cant wont dont all no ' It is a fast keyboard but if you want to type don't in T9 you get font, most other keyboards guess word with an ' in it and auto correct, this one does not. |
[2012-04-13] A Google User: starting to irritate me keyboard is so unresponsive that i actually exchanged my phone, thinking that the touchscreen was defective. nope, it's just this app. very very frustrating |
[2012-04-10] A Google User: Old Skool This is just to have another option to have while writing text messages. Many sitation arises at times & I have to able to have acces to the safest method. |
[2012-04-08] A Google User: Lag I've had this app since the original moto droid. Was perfect but like others have said the lag has become a major issue especially with the space bar. |
[2012-04-03] A Google User: I used to love it but now the lag is very frustrating. Won't update until the reviews improve. Also, this is an old change, but I hate how long the press must be for a number in Predict mode now. It's so much longer than it needs to be to prevent accidentals. |
[2012-03-31] A Google User: Piece Of crap |
[2012-03-29] A Google User: Pretty awesome I really like being able to use the t9, but as other reviewers have said it has started to lag. :( please fix. |
[2012-03-29] A Google User: Used to love it, now has lag I had it at 5 stars, then lately its been lagging terribly. Won't keep up with my typing and get stuck, putting a number in the middle of my words. |
[2012-03-25] A Google User: Latest update broke this Performance on my sgs2 is now bad and it can't keep up with my typing. |
[2012-03-22] A Google User: Can't get this to work. When I tap and hold the text screen as instructed to select this keyboard nothing happens. Not impressed. |
[2012-03-20] A Google User: Custom Settings I hate using full QWERTY keyboards, so this one is really great. Good layout and colors, and it's easy to use the word prediction and dictionary. I would like a little more customization options, however. The smiley button is there sometimes, but usually it's replaced by the return key. Hopefully the smiley key can be brought back in an update and made so that we can edit the smileys and use them as shortcuts for whatever text we want. Also, maybe add some settings for swipes. No other complaints. |
[2012-03-16] A Google User: Sweet Excellent and nice and fast on the Galaxy SII bit slow on an old crappy phone |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: SSLLLOOOOWWWWW!!!!!! Definitely the absolute slowest keyboard I have ever used. Fast texters do not, I repeat DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU WANT TO REGRESS YOUR TEXTING ABILITIES!!!!!!!!!! |
[2012-02-27] A Google User: Great! Love it! |
