Dock4Droid is the first Dock task manager for the Android platform. You can quickly access your running tasks from anywhere you currently are in your phone or tablet and launch new apps from the current screen. Icons are rendered in a wave-like parabolic view and tasks are accessed by sliding your finger on the dock.

You can add custom launchers and exclude apps from the Dock.

Now Dock4Droid supports also your favorite contacts to appear in the Dock so you can use it as a quick dial solution.

Dock4Droid is fully localized into Italian - many thanks to Michael Lepori.

This app is a lite version but fully functional. In the paid version you may access all sort of different settings, including: unlimited number of launchers, excludes and contacts, customize colors etc...

Minimal customization Love the idea, but I would like to see: 1. Easy sorting of app launcher order. Presently they are only able to be programmed in the order they are entered which is quite annoying when it comes to adding new apps. 2. "always on" mode. I would like this to be visible at all times, negating the need for the string/arrow. It would also make it easier for me to pick out the app from an already visible list rather than from memory/scrolling back and forth. Great app, will change rating with improvements!

Great... most of the timr My only issue with this is that it pops up when I least want it and I end up accidentally opening an app when I just wanted to send a message in a hurry. This usually happens when I'm typing (dock set at bottom of screen) but also when I'm playing games or in camera fv-5 where icons are set close to the edges of the screen. I'd love to be able to select an option just to have the dock accessible from the home screens only.

Outstanding! I thought the dedicated multitasker imbued within my Galaxy S4 was all I needed...but this app trumps it by far!! It's so much easier to not have to hold the home button down to see what's open..but I still haven't figured out how to close apps permanently...so I'm taking 1star away...and will give it back if/when I do!!! Outstanding, nevertheless!!

Almost perfect! The one thing that I don't see is the ability to set the height and position of the dock so that the icons could be accessed with a shorter range of movement with your thumb. Other than that, this is the best so launcher that I have tried. Great job!

Very nice useful and... the best! Best layout and UI! Very configurable, almost all you can't think of is there for you to config! Great for multitasking! Even with less than 1GHz and 512mb total ram you can fully work with this app as you wish! :D Buy it! Update: A must have for any user who boasts of having a powerful device, this app enables you to get the most of the multitasking capabilities of you device! And even if it's not a powerful one this runs so smoothly and needs so low resources it's a must anyway! Well worth it!

Great app! But one issue (EDIT) I wish there was a way to control the scroll speed with the app. I usually "miss" the app I try to select because the scroll speed is too fast. EDIT: After the latest update, I have NO problem with the scroll speed! Excellent work!

Neat App, but scrolls way to fast! This is a neat app that I would give 5 stars but I can only give 4 because the apps in the side bar scroll by so fast I can't catch them as they whiz by. A lot of time is wasted trying to catch the one I want. By chance is there a speed setting to slow the scrolling down? (HTC Rezound Verizon)

Nice concept but needs work I found this app to be buggy and unresponsive, specifically when I opened the dock, to close the dock the logical thing would be to tap the area away from the icons or press the back button but sadly this app counts the tap as a tap on the closest icon and the back button goes to the app behind it, the only way to close it is to swipe towards the icons which it counts as a tap for the most part, good app but needs some work

Great but i have no real use for it I bought this app because it looked original and aesthetically eye popping. The app doesn't slow down my phone and performs as advertised. It really is great. However, i uninstalled this app because for my personal style it just gets in the way and carriers me trouble, no matter where i place it on the screen or how im modify it.Not for me, but if you want a solid, cool dock that is fast and sexy, you should definitely try this thing out.

Love it but not work on JB It's not working with my new phone running Jelly Bean. I'm assuming this is a JB issue and not this apps fault because it will only show the apps that are open or that are in the recent task box, but I like to keep that empty and force close my apps when done. On GB all recent apps would show up and force closing never affected it. I don't know about ICS, but it's something to look into. I don't know if I can function w/o this app! It's so handy & I love it. I hope it can be fixed.

Works okay but no cigar... Worked well on my ICS Sensation (sense-o-maniac Rom), however uses 18Mb of memory, which is way too much for a background app with only 2 apps and recent apps showing....and requires manual switchoff every so often as interferes with screen selections and swipe gestures. Wanted to love it as just like RocketDock on PC, which is awesome and freeware as well.... Selecting "one tap" to actually trigger shortcuts made it easier to use, but added another tap to the process. Verdict: SwypePad uses 8mb running, is easier to control and deliberately trigger without accidents and only uses 8mb running....

I would have liked it more Good app but I would have liked it more if my htc EVO 3d didn't come with a recently used apps system already ( by holding home button ) otherwise I would have used this app more. It can be a pain to use this app compared to holding the home button because sliding my finger on screen doesnt always work and sometimes it works when I don't want it to. I uninstalled it. I may use it in the future on a new phone.

Good but could be better OK so far I like it, am still getting used to it, but here are three things to make Dock4droid even better: 1. The left-to-right scrolling is way too fast - the icons buzz by before I can even stop them. Give us the option to change the speed at which we can scroll thru icons! 2. Give us the option to add ANY APP to the dock, not just the ones that are listed in the app settings. Phone? Email? Main contacts? would be nice to be able to add these. 3. Don't sucker us into download the "free" app and then oh sorry - you have to PAY to actually add more than 4 apps to the doc. Just make the overall app either free or pay!

Superb app This app is extremely useful, very similar to QuickDo on the iPhone. Allows me to switch between apps quickly. By setting 'double tap' I have no worries of accidentally going into other apps. I do hope for 1 feature though: if I set the dock to the bottom, I wish the app can auto hide when the keyboard is showing. Else, I'm unable to hit the spacebar key. Other than that everything else is perfect!

Love the Dock But.... I been waiting for a dock like this to come on the android platforms and I would use it but, the only reason that it's going to keep me from using it on my personal android phone is because I have modified my android with custome icons and custome theme. I hope in the very near near future they add an option to replace the original app icons with your own custome icons.

Pretty good app, but annoyance at times 1) Allow us to move the dock (like iphone) so it allows accessibility/flexibility all the time (can be enable/disable) 2) Only reveal the status bar icon when we hid the dock (so it don't cluster up space in the notification pull-down bar), can have the option to hide the dock using the launcher itself. Implement these two features and you will get a five star :D it's already good but these two will make it even better

Wasn't for me... I was hoping I could clean up some of my home screen but I needed more than the four free spaces on this light version. I was disappointed in the lack of customizations available in this version also. All and all , its a great concept. Ran smoothly and with no lag that I could tell. Uninstalled, not worth keeping and not life changing enough to purchase the full version.

Use MacOSX and feel like your android is missing something? Here's the fix! Note that the prefs are quite extensive and folks giving low ratings have obviously not taken the time to go thu em all and dial settings to their taste... After using this free version for a few months, I'm gonna buy the unlock; it's that good! To put that in perspective, I'm not one who buys many apps- with so many options for anything on the market, what I need can usually be done with something free. However, nevermind getting extras, I wanna buy the dev a beer for hooking this up!
