[2013-08-21] A Google User: Works well Duplicates when syncing tend to plague this app. Been a power user for over three years. Still a problem. |
[2013-08-19] A Google User: Just don't! Find something else - Just don't get this software I installed this on my phone and purchased the $50.00 software that I installed on my work and home computers. I sync my phone with my work computer and then back it up at home. Everything is set so that my work PC is the primary and basically everything goes downward from there to minimize duplications etc. Well, This FABULOUS software has now basically taken all 600+ of my contacts, thrown them up in the air and left information wherever it wants. I have addresses where I had no address before. I have phone number that have been moved. I have notes that have been copied across numerous contacts. Short, it is an absolute nightmare. To make things better I attempted to email customer service. 5 days later and NO response. Shocker!! I have to say thanks to DejaOffice and Companionlink for completely destroying a contact list and tons of information that has taken years to buidl. Stay away. |
[2013-08-17] A Google User: Great but It would be nice to have a setting in calendar to autofill the adress of the contact, when I create an event from that contact. I really need this feature, as I visit my clients at theirs home. |
[2013-08-15] A Google User: Wow This program sounds awesome except for the part where is keeps going unresponsive. |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: Great App Deja office helps me stay synched with my Outlook calendar appointments and contact details. |
[2013-08-03] A Google User: Better but needs fixes |
[2013-08-03] A Google User: Doesn't remount Come on. It is a beta program again! Doesn't mount the SD card after sync. Updates often generate new problems. Don't gamble with our data!!! |
[2013-08-03] A Google User: Excellent app. Using Droid RAZR Max. I use this app all the time. I prefer it over the default calendar and default contacts from Google. Only problem is I have a desktop dock that I connect over night. The dock has the capability of displaying the next days appointments, etc., but it only recognizes the default Google calendar and I can't figure out how to sync Deja Calendar with the Google calendar. If I could do that then the app would be perfect. |
[2013-08-01] A Google User: Deja Office is great! I've been using Deja Office on my Samsung Galaxy II Tab for almost a year and it has worked reliably. It syncs easily with Outlook on my desktop with no hitches at all. Very happy with this solution to syncing with Outlook. |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: Oh to have Palm again. Wait! DejaOffice is that and more! I've been using a Palm device since the US Robotics days and just couldn't find a good mobile/computer replacement until now. My Samsung Galaxy s4, CompanionLink with DejaOffice is a peerfect match. I'm in my fourth month of daily use and have not had any issues. |
[2013-07-27] A Google User: Ok for a calendar app |
[2013-07-27] A Google User: Unreliable It is junk. been trying to get it to work for about 2 years. Tech support never solve the problems. they consistently give the runaround. the program is very unreliable and this is using it as a 1 way sync from my computer to my phone. it has and always have had major issues. The very bad thing is that no one else offers a solution that's better. this is the best software out there for us ACT power users that need to get contacts and field data to our smartphone. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard spot. |
[2013-07-26] A Google User: Horrible! Constant crashing. I imported over 700 contacts from my Google contacts native phone app & everytime I open any contact it crashes. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Works great, my co-workers and I have been using Deja for 6 months and I am extremely pleased with its performance. |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: I like it. Easy to use It works behind the scene I don't need to do anything to support it. When I used the tethering sync it was bothersome. Now I use the wireless sync without problem. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: Dream and Nightmare The app works great as a standalone solution. Unfortunately the price is a little high for this function. When it comes to synchronize Outlook 2013 with the app on an android mobile nothing functions. even the support agrees that there are some problems to open the the Outlook database on the PC. Since they have no answer for the problem it's a bad investment. There are enough free apps that can do the standalone job, no need for CompanionLink and DejaOffice. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Good but Unstable!!!! I would said it was good for the past 1 year i being using. It can sync almost everything from Outlook to Droid. The killing part is its STABILITY! At times u may face problems like all your contacts just disappear . Then after a day or two , 30% of d contacts appear, then 50% after 2 weeks but it might drop again without any obvious reasons. The problem suddenly disappear after suffering for 3 week. Then same problem came back few months later. I feed the technical dept all they need but there still no solutions for months. I hope Companion Link could look into the Stability Problem soon as this might happened anytime to any of Deja users. Thus, i would Not recommend this app to anyone using for business purpose as their customers contact is very crucial to them. Learn from others experience! Not worth the RISK ! Will update you guys if they can make the app more STABLE!! |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: DO and CL only App for syncing I reccommend I have tried this app on phones that I have owned both Droid 3 and 4 as well as Razr and now I have a Droid Razr Maxx HD and have had very few problems. What I have found that if you are having problems go into the advance setting and under applications change everything to sync to outlook to android and check wipe in all that you sync. Re-sync and then go back and check sync both ways. I do know that they do updates to CL just about monthly. And that is usually starts around the 20th of the month until the end of the month. Daja Office is usually updated about every couple months. I would be lost without this app since I do not like to sync with Google. Since this apps goes onto your USB card make sure that you have a large enough card. I know that it says it will hold 50,000 records and that is alot. Love how you can talk with someone and you can add it as a journal entry right after you talk with them. Best and I do me BEST app out there for business people or anyone that is just busy. I am using CL 5070 and DO 2.4.5 For all they die hard Blackberry lovers this app works very similar to the Blackberry sync. Great job Companion Link |
[2013-07-04] A Google User: Great App! Syncs well with ACT Pro 2013 Highly recommend! This app continues to get better all the time. Essential for my daily organization. Keep up the great work!! Yes, there are a few qwerks, but I have found nothing to date which interfaces with Sage ACT Pro 2013 quite as easily and syncs my information (including notes) as well as Deja Office. |
[2013-07-02] A Google User: Losing Records In order to sync DO with MS Office you must use CompanionLink on your PC. For several years I have suffered intermittent loss of records (mostly contacts.). I have had to go through time consuming 'fixes', mostly per CL support, which never solved the problems. I still find records on my phone that are missing from my PC and CL just tells me that it is a problem with MS. I'll be dropping both DO and CL soon. |
[2013-06-29] A Google User: Outstanding Out off the top 6 or so CRM apps I test drove this for me was at the top of the heap. Nice and simple interface, no issues with its performance as yet. |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: Clunky & Hidden Charge every 3 months Super clunky & horrible interface. Overpriced even without the hidden charge every 3 months! I was looking at my credit card statement 6 months after I deleted the app off my phone and there it was still being charged no email/tax invoice to advise they were still charging. CRAP, OVERPRICED, DECEITFUL. |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: Samsung Note 2 I gotta admit it. This is a really great app. If I'd known how great, I'd have loaded it first thing. |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Some good bits but randomly deletes diary entries Whilst this mostly does what it says on the tin, beware this software randomly deletes diary entries when syncing to my Galaxy S2. This is a long running (year +) problem and I can no longer rely on it. The workarounds from the vendor are pretty lame -- look in Outlook deleted items for what it has dumped, put them back, and re-sync, but that's not the end as it refuses to read the restored entries. The second workaround is to then force deletion of everything on my Galaxy S2 at the next sync, and then check again in the Outlook deleted items. If you get the idea this never ends -- you've got it! Impressed -- not. |
[2013-06-18] A Google User: Worth the small effort and price About three years ago I tried Companionlink Express to sync up my Droid 2 smartphone with Outlook and Act!. It failed in such a fantastic and miserable way I swore I would never look at it again. However, now, with my Droid 4, Outlook and Act!, this latest version of Companionlink Express is working perfectly. And it set up without a hitch. |
[2013-06-16] A Google User: Best application for outlook sync Best ap for outlook sync....your notes actually sync wt no problem.....back them up though before first sync |
[2013-06-11] A Google User: Its exactly what i needed However i already use the Google cloud and using your own db for contacts and calendars sound like nih syndrome. Too bad |
[2013-06-11] A Google User: Bugs? You are not joking My suspicions is that the sync problems that most people are experiencing are deliberate, to make you buy the companionlink software. I managed (eventually) to transfer my S3 native contacts with Dejacontacts. Deleted the old contact list so that I could import and sync the contact list from Dejacontacts. This enables the phone and text apps to read the names of the contacts. Followed the instructions on the webpage, didn't work. Followed the instructions in various forums, didn't work. The software is free and obviously in development, very obviously. How do you pay for development? Through companionlink! Even though they state that you don't need to use it. I have sent their support a message but my suspicion is that I'll never receive an answer other than copy and paste from their web page. If they solve the problem, I'll eat humble pie and post another review. Don't hold your breathe. |
[2013-06-07] A Google User: Exactly like Outlook PIM So far.. this is the best Outlook PIM on Android apps with flawless sync. Categories, Notes, Task..... everything's there. |
[2013-06-05] A Google User: Native Sync Doesn't work Basic syncronisation seems to work ok, if a little clunky, but there is a big problem with native Calendar sync ... Effectively calendar data is ONLY available within the DejaOffice app, which makes it fairly useless to anyone who has a different preferred PIM or calendar app. I've tried the native android Calendar, Pocket Informant, Touch Calendar and Week Calendar - all have the DejaOffice calendar as an option, but none are able to display any data from it. DejaOffice tech has not responded to support requests. Back to the drawing board ... |
[2013-06-05] A Google User: Goob Bab |
[2013-05-30] A Google User: CompanionLink Product is very problematic. Online instructions are unclear. Product works inconsistently from computer to computer. Works one day. Doesn't work the next. Staff is trying to be helpful, but really doesn't understand the problems. |
[2013-05-30] A Google User: Need serious bug fixes After a week of intensive intervention by technical support, which required my purchase of a premium support package in order to get a timely response, it was determined that the latest version does not work with the Droid Razr Maxx . Consequently, the installation of an older version of the software was required. Synchronization with Act was the issue here. |
[2013-05-24] A Google User: Best Outlook Sync App I have tried so many different apps and methods of syncing my Outlook with my Android. But this app is by far the best, and the most versatile. Haven't had any hic cups yet. Hoping that none arise... |
[2013-05-24] A Google User: Very very bad Not working |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Outstanding application! This was the main thing that got me to retire my Blackberry. Been using this app to sync with my PC Outlook for just about a year with nothing but a few sync connection issues. Generally performs as well as the BBerry sync but with lots of additional features. Well worth the one time license purchase for the PC software (CompanionLink) |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: My rating since 2010 stands! Synched my years of Palm Centro data to my Droid X. Now on my SGN2. DEVs added my requested features. All I've ever needed. |
[2013-05-20] A Google User: Fantastic! Motorola Droid Xyboard 10.1 DejaOffice is a great app for keeping Outlook in sync between my tablet and computer, very useful, very dependable. Well worth the price. The development support is great as well. Keep up the good work! |
[2013-05-19] A Google User: Awesome I upgrade my ph at least once a yr...and Deja office holds all my info, notes, appts for easy transfer with a download. Also, it has a weekly, bi weekly and so on schedule set option! Very handy and dependable! |
[2013-05-18] A Google User: Does what it's supposed to. . |
[2013-05-18] A Google User: Best App for Microsoft Outlook Contact sync The only app I have found that will sync all of the information from my PC's Microsoft Outlook. This app does not sync with the native Contact folder in my Samsung Infuse 4G, it comes with its own stand alone contact folder. It's is by far the most user friendly and comprehensive. Contacts can be sorted by First, Last, Company, Nick Name or File As. Notes in the Contact are synced as well and the search function will even search within those Notes. This was the most important feature for me, as I have key |
[2013-05-18] A Google User: Ignore the kids complaining it's not free, it's a teriffic product! It is designed to work with commercial quality, paid for, desktop software which syncs with most CRM software. Used it for years with my Palm, and now with Android. Best Outlook sync available but overkill for personal contacts where the Android contact manager is more than adequate and easier to setup. |
[2013-05-16] A Google User: Excellent - Surpasses all expectations!! Performs really well on my Samsung Galaxy S3. One of my issues & concerns migrating from windows mobile was syncing with Outlook. Needless to say, I was sold when I started using Deja Office / Companion Link & have never looked back! Updates & support is awesome. If you read setup instructions carefully, you will master this product! Keep up with the fantastic updates Deja Office support team! |
[2013-05-14] A Google User: Works well. Slow to start integrating with big database but good after that. |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: If you dont sync, good app Sync has triplicated my contacts, so I don't so that anymore. App is great but sync needs lots of work.Dev is responsive to emails. Not enterprise ready. MUCH better than built in calendar. Search is fast and awesome. I use 90% Cal, 10% rest of app. I gave up on sync all together. I took away 1 star, because after 4 years the updates are minimal and unimpressive. |
[2013-05-07] A Google User: Another FAIL! yet another app that does not sync with Native Android. My old N95 used to do it but my £500 HTC phone cannot sync with outlook :l Wish a developer would just sync with native android and Outlook. I don't want to use your software especially with no widgets for calendar :l |
[2013-05-07] A Google User: Never worked quite right After 6 months of dealing with tech support on this product, I finally gave up and moved on to a different app. DejaOffice regularly wrecked my Outlook calendar, consistently crashed, and oftentimes wouldn't open at all because it couldn't find my SD card (even though all my other apps could). I really wanted it to work, but it just didn't. |
[2013-05-02] A Google User: Sync issues. GALAXY NOTE2 Not syncing w native apps.. after the latest upgrade suppodedly addressed this |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Jerry Arntzen likes Deja Office a lot. |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Great for Outlook user have to buy linking program, but worth it to me. widgets are just shortcuts to full screen display. wish they had a good agenda widget like "agenda widget". would make it 5 star then. |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Love it!!!!!! |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Great App for business I love this app! I sale Mary Kay and it helps me keep up with my customers and what was talked about and all the notes. A plus! |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Glitchy and unpredictable. Tech support does not respond to requests. Evo 4g |
[2013-04-25] A Google User: Great |
[2013-04-25] A Google User: This is not free To sync to a pc you need to purchase the pc program. I hate when companies offer something as free when it really is not free... |
[2013-04-24] A Google User: Outlook to Deja Office Great Syncing! |
[2013-04-24] A Google User: Great App Easy to use and syncs well. Support is awesome! |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Not as good as it used to be I have been using this application for many years, it's slowly but surely gotten worse and worse slower to respond and more complex... overall less reliable but maybe more bells and whistles when they work. I use it to synch ACT data base to htc evo |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: DejaOffice |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Love your product! I'm a Project Manager for a construction company. It is necessary that my 'office' is with me at all times. I am on the road 80 percent of the time. I have put your software to the test for about three months now. I was convinced a week ago that it passed with five stars. Then I dropped and busted my smartphone! I had it immediately replaced. Downloaded all my apps (easy because Google Play stores everything). After re-loading deja office I simply pushed one button and it was if nothing happened. No interruptions in my schedule or information. You have earned all five stars. P.S. I have top notch phone, tablet and PC's. As a electronic and computer tech for many years I know how to use them. Keep up the good work! |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Wonderful app Wouldn't be without it. Syncs perfectly. The person describing it as terrible has got some other problem going on. Hope he gets it worked out. |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: SD card bug Contacts are not in sync with phone if app is installed in SD card. No contacts displayed at all. This bug is 1 year old... |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: So nearly there |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Buggy and breaks down I have tried using this application for well over a year and when it works it's great, but when it breaks you're screwed. After the third breakdown in a year I'm over it. I would not recommend this product. |
[2013-04-15] A Google User: Problematic I just spent half of my Sunday afternoon testing the app and syncing with my outlook 2010 and unfortunately found out that syncing has flows. Entries that I do on my Nexus do not pass to the PC. What a common sad story. I'll give it some more shots during the week and if the problem insists I will not pay the fee after the trial period expires. Review 1: One day after and i have still not managed to sync calendar entries from my phone back to the pc. PC to phone works well. i have tried some syncing methods whereas only the cloud service works well. USB does not work, bluetooth either. I am now testing the USB ADB mode. Oh my got its extremely slow! I did it twice in the hope that the 2nd will go faster but nothing. really dissapointing. Coming from a blackberry and the blackberry sync suite, this is trash! |
[2013-04-13] A Google User: Has critical issues The app has critical flaws (does not search in phone number fields of the records), but the biggest problem is the costly($50), buggy, crazily slow and unreliable sync applications Companion Link! I am going through nightmare for the last 6 months or so ever since I dropped BlackBerry cause of weak hardware - wish I never had to do that, but it was impossible to upgrade with bb crappy new devices. I would advise, try to find some other app (i am starting doing that myself tonight) cause this one will wreak |
[2013-04-05] A Google User: Very good integration It has been a considerable learning period to get the best out of what is a comprehensive and first class product. I have it integrated with ACT! On the PC and they work extremely well together. Don't underestimate the learning period,it can get frustrating at times but it's always been me that's got it wrong! |
[2013-04-05] A Google User: Excellent software what I was looking for a long time |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Ok Companion Link is ok. I use it motr for my files I have created. Work great. Synching lately id not easy. |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Groups Does not import contacts organized into groups |
[2013-03-27] A Google User: Works great! I have used this program for three years and it has been a lifesaver. Fantastic program, lets me everything I need to with my database...data going back 13 years! Best to only sync 90-120 day history to avoid long sync times. Can enter data on phone or on palm desktop, but i tend to do most data entry on desktop to make syncing more simple. Customer support in Portland is good but be patient. |
[2013-03-26] A Google User: Sry not free Its not free. You need to buy a link to sync with ur pc |
[2013-03-25] A Google User: Can't Complain Does what it says, nice ui, sync software world great. Has issues and response was perfect. 5 stars |
[2013-03-23] A Google User: Works great - until it doesn't Colossal waste of time (money too). I'm talking about the CompanionLink sync component. Ugh, I don't even want to waste time describing the number of problems. I'm so done with this. FOrget the $40 I spent I wish I could get my wasted time back. |
[2013-03-19] A Google User: Not bad, not optimum Syncs fast but overwrote my android contacts in spite of my settings. Fortunately, I backed them up beforehand. Restoring repopulated most but not all. W/ 600 outlook contacts to 6 on Android no biggie. PC client is $50 but there's a 14 day free trial so 1-time syncers can do it free. |
[2013-03-18] A Google User: My Favorite Android App The "cloud sync" option for synching Outlook and Android phones is unbelievably elegant, and works perfectly. I love my phone and I love Outlook. Deja Office blends the two. |
[2013-03-17] A Google User: Deja awesome Teriffic solution to integrate your android device to outlook. Elegant and seamless when installed and configured properly, and tech support is very helpfull & responsive... you can even talk to a real human being! |
[2013-03-14] A Google User: Exellent App Works perfectly. Definitely worth the price. |
[2013-03-11] A Google User: Very good This is a very good app that does what it promisses. Unfortunately my IT did not allow the installation on the office system and I received my refund immediately no question no fuss. And the support was very good and quick. I would have kept it if I could :-( |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: Great program Does just what is supposed to flawlessly. Much better screens than built in contacts app, etc. Well worth the money. Much easier than syncing android to google, then syncing google to outlook. This program does it all in one step, and has bi-directional sync built in. Very easy to use. |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: Its a very good app the deja office syncs well with my samsung note. It is easy to use |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: Not a good start I am on able to synchronize via the cloud to my droid. However, I am able to synchronize perfectly 2 tablet. My droid continues to quit working with program |
[2013-03-06] A Google User: SCAM it's not free! it;s in the Appstore for free but will not function until you BUY another program to run on your PC the program it self is worthless without the other. So dowload, install on you mobile and see for your self. I uninstalled in 10 seconds after that |
[2013-03-04] A Google User: User of DejaOffice by CompanionLink for many years I have used Act! for around 15 years (over several owners) and I have used CompanionLink to sync with my Palm and now my Android. My once only contact with customer service was answered promptly. |
[2013-03-04] A Google User: Love it Great for act users 153643 |
[2013-03-03] A Google User: Great! Great! |
[2013-03-03] A Google User: DejaOffice Love the program. |
[2013-02-27] A Google User: Fantastic Syncs with my 5000 plus Act! Database - invaluable. |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: Works but not 100% reliable Companionlink for Outlook using Deja Office amd USB sync. I have decided to pay for Companionlink but during my trial the product has worked fine except that in the last couple of days it crashed and has since duplicated all my contacts on the phone. I can fix this by purging all phone contacts and resyncing but hope that this won't be a regular issue. I've come from an old windows phone using activesync which has been faultless for the past five years. Would have been 5* had it been more reliable. Also, throws up Error: Found an Android device, but unable to connect to DejaOffice. Second attempt and it works fine! I suppose my point is that this kind of software should work quietly in the background without the need to regular user intervention which it does not. Shame, that even with all its faults, this seems to be the best app I have found so far to sync with Outlook. Anyone found anything better for Outlook calendar/tasks/contacts? |

[2013-02-22] A Google User: Very useful After some nerve racking 'hiccups' it's working very well. I use this app more than any other on my phone. Keeps even me organized (no easy task)! |

[2013-02-19] A Google User: Useful but frustrating Useful tool to sync with Outlook (I rely on Outlook as my master database for Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Calendar). Bonus: program adds ability to open calendar invites from the stock email app -- but not MailDroid. I don't use Exchange, so DejaOffice direct synch to Outlook is a useful work flow. Sync locally from PC to device over WiFi, works well. Contacts get optionally synched to Android local "People" as a DejaOffice account, so benefit is native phone & messaging apps all pull up contacts & pictures properly. PROBLEMS: 1. Scrolling through Contacts entries is VERY SLOW. 2. The Calendar tool is well rounded, but fonts & display are too small on Nexus 4. Bottom line: Calendar barely readable using the largest font available. Needs to be fixed. Summary: Useful. Contact display speed & calendar readability knock off a couple stars. Need Fixes Edit: Extra star because although program is still quirky, it is a central part of my day & organizer & time management. Edit: New issue - cannot open calendar invites when using MailDroid email program |

[2013-02-13] A Google User: Calendar Issue Contacts never worked well but I didn't mind the poor Contact management because I got DejaOffice primarily to synch Calendars with Outlook. It never worked well but once I learned DOs quirks working around them wasn't that bad. Until the latest upgrade. Now appointment reminders don't alarm on time. The time of day on the day view doesn't refresh for hours and some appointments have disappeared. Very disappointing performance from a very expensive app. |

[2013-02-09] A Google User: Not compatible with Office 365 They wait until Office 365 releases to say the Android to Outlook sync utility (CompanionLink 5.0) is not compatible with Office 365. Looking for another product that is. |

[2013-02-09] A Google User: Very good program. Came from the Palm era, they had the best ones, went to Windows Mobile, they didn't have only one program of this type, it was good, but in November, I bought Android tablet with Daja on it, and it has been the best of its kind that I have found. I have been using Companion Links for years, and its not a biggy to buy it. |

[2013-02-07] A Google User: Awesome I love it. It works great, especially when automatically asks to add any call to contacts and journal. |
